Chapter 614 - 424: Great Battle with the Eighteen-winged Angel (3)

  • Next Chapter

Amidst the swirling dust and clashing light, the aftershocks of the battle still raged.

The Eighteen-winged Angel slowly rose from the crater in the rock wall. The golden radiance of its body had dimmed considerably, and its once sacred, inviolable aura was now in disarray.

A flash of indignant fury flickered in its eyes. Gripping the Holy Sword tightly, it charged toward Chu He once more, preparing to launch a final counterattack.

Chu He, however, was fearless. He stood firm, his feet planted like a great tree rooted in the earth, his gaze locked resolutely on the Eighteen-winged Angel.

A powerful aura emanated from him, as if declaring to the Eighteen-winged Angel that he would be the one to win this fight.

As the Eighteen-winged Angel closed in, Chu He swiftly raised his hands, catching the downward swing of the Holy Sword between his bare palms.

A tremendous collision of power erupted. The surrounding air seemed to detonate, unleashing a series of deafening booms.

The powerful impact sent countless new cracks spiderwebbing across the ground as dust billowed up once more.

Dazzling sparks erupted where Chu He’s hands met the Holy Sword. They bloomed like brilliant fireworks in the night sky, yet they carried a terrifying, destructive aura.

Seeing this, the Eighteen-winged Angel gave a mighty flap of its wings. A powerful gale enveloped its body as it tried to leverage the force to increase the downward pressure of the Holy Sword.

But Chu He was like a towering mountain, completely unmoved.

His eyes glinted with a sharp light, like two spectral flames in the darkness, fixed on the Eighteen-winged Angel without a hint of retreat.

As the stalemate of power continued, a black radiance began to emanate from Chu He.

This light formed a tough layer of armor, enveloping his body completely.

The radiance intensified, finally forming a massive black dome of light that enveloped both Chu He and the Eighteen-winged Angel.

Within the dome, the clash of their powers grew even more violent. The light flickered erratically, threatening to shatter the barrier at any moment and unleash an even more terrifying force.

Outside the dome of light, Beckett and Guerrero watched in stunned silence, their hearts filling with despair.

They knew the situation was hopeless and could only watch as the tide turned against them.

Amaterasu, however, frowned slightly. The intensity of the battle far exceeded her expectations.

She silently watched the fight within the dome, praying that Chu He would end it quickly and claim his final victory.

Inside the black dome of light, the power struggle between Chu He and the Eighteen-winged Angel reached a fever pitch.

Chu He let out a sudden, mighty roar as the full force of his power erupted in an instant.

He stomped his feet, and countless cracks instantly spiderwebbed out across the ground.

Using the force of that stomp, Chu He gave a sudden shove, sending the Eighteen-winged Angel and its Holy Sword flying backward.

The Eighteen-winged Angel’s body flew backward and crashed heavily to the ground.

It struggled to rise but found its strength had been so depleted in the last exchange that it couldn’t muster the energy.

A flicker of fear showed in its eyes—the first it had felt during this entire battle.

Chu He walked slowly toward the Eighteen-winged Angel, his eyes filled with authority and resolve.

At that moment, he was like a supreme Judge, about to deliver his final verdict upon the Eighteen-winged Angel. Each step landed with immense weight, making the very ground tremble.

The Eighteen-winged Angel watched Chu He approach step by step and tried to swing its Holy Sword again for one last act of resistance.

But its movements were sluggish, its strength a shadow of what it was before.

Seizing the opportunity, Chu He lunged forward and grabbed the Holy Sword from the Eighteen-winged Angel’s grasp.

The Eighteen-winged Angel struggled desperately to reclaim its Holy Sword, but Chu He’s strength was like iron. It could not break free.

Chu He tightened his grip on the Holy Sword and, with a powerful twist, wrenched it from the Eighteen-winged Angel’s hands.

Chu He raised the Holy Sword high. It flashed with a dazzling light as he said coldly, "This battle is your loss."

With that, Chu He swung the Holy Sword, sending a powerful blast of Sword Qi shooting toward the Eighteen-winged Angel.

The Eighteen-winged Angel tried to dodge, but it was too late.

The Sword Qi struck it in an instant. Its body was engulfed by light, then shattered into countless golden fragments that dissipated into the air.

As the Eighteen-winged Angel vanished, the golden radiance in the Demon Cave also faded, and at last, all was calm.

The Holy Sword in Chu He’s hand also dissolved into motes of light and vanished.

When Beckett and Guerrero saw Chu He defeat the Eighteen-winged Angel, their hearts filled with terror.

They knew their end was near.

They turned to flee, but there was no way Chu He would let them escape.

With a flicker of movement, Chu He instantly appeared before them, blocking their path.

Chu He looked at them and said coldly, "Did you really think you could escape?"

Terrified, Beckett and Guerrero collapsed to the ground. They knew they had no power left to resist.

With a wave of his hand, a surge of power sent them flying. The two of them crashed heavily to the ground.
