Necromancer Of The Shadows

Chapter 1401: Wash Your Neck (Part 2)

Chapter 1401: Wash Your Neck (Part 2)

Evan finally sighed in relief when he felt the power emanating from Elora beginning to weaken.

He glanced toward the Halberd of Destruction inside his core world, and even though only a few seconds had passed since he had thrown it inside, most of the cracks covering its surface had already disappeared.

Moreover, he could feel his connection with Elora gradually returning to normal, and he knew that he would soon be able to call her back into the halberd.

’I can finally relax a little...’

Evan had been worried that the halberd would require a long time to repair itself and that before it fully recovered, the duration of Draven’s Ruler of Space authority would run out.

Without the effects of that authority, even Draven would have difficulty escaping in front of Baphomet, Alistair, and Eilistraea, all of whom were among the strongest beings in Utopia.

But now, after witnessing the speed at which the halberd was recovering, Evan was certain it would completely repair itself before Draven’s authority expired.

Just as Evan was beginning to feel joyful while watching Elora’s body gradually shrink back from her beast form, a blood-red barrier suddenly rose and enveloped the entire area.

Alistair, who had been unable to catch up to Evan because of Draven’s repeated teleportations was holding a strange-looking bell in his hand that was covered in bizarre engraved patterns.

Although Evan had no idea what kind of artifact it was, the terrifying rank-six aura emanating from it made it obvious that it was anything but ordinary.

"Master, he has sealed this entire area using that artifact. This place has been completely cut off from the outside world. There are no longer any spatial nodes connecting this region to external space."

Evan’s heart skipped a beat when he heard Draven’s words because now that everything was finally going smoothly, the last thing he wanted was to get caught by Alistair and the others.

Although he was not afraid of dying because of his Life Mark skill, if possible, he still did not want to die here.

Especially not after struggling so much just to escape.

"Can you still avoid getting caught by them?" Evan asked in a low voice.

"Normally, I wouldn’t be able to," Draven replied honestly. "This barrier has severed this entire region from all external spatial nodes. But..."

As he spoke, an image of the area just outside the barrier appeared inside Draven’s mind.

The next instant, he and Evan had already teleported outside together.

"Under the effects of my authority, I do not need spatial nodes at all. I can simply imagine a location in my mind and travel there directly."

Evan’s heart finally settled after Draven successfully escaped the barrier created by Alistair.

However, he still did not lower his guard because he knew the only reason they had escaped was due to Draven’s current ability to teleport purely through imagination.

The moment the effects of Ruler of Space ended, escaping from these people would become nearly impossible.

’Come on, my daughter... stop sulking already and return to normal.’

Evan shouted inwardly while looking toward Elora, who was now trapped inside the barrier together with Alistair, Eilistraea, and Baphomet.

"How is this possible?"

Alistair was genuinely shocked after witnessing the tiny worm beside Evan teleport out of the barrier created by his precious rank-six artifact.

The space-locking barrier created by that artifact was so powerful that even he himself would require considerable time to break through it.

Yet the tiny creature beside Evan had simply ignored the barrier entirely and escaped as though it meant absolutely nothing.

’What in the world is that thing...?’

Alistair frowned deeply, but before he could think further...

BOOOOOOOOM!

A golden light filled with the power of the END erupted inside the barrier.

The giant crimson beast that had been desperately fighting against Baphomet suddenly turned and began attacking the barrier violently, trying to break out and chase after Evan.

What stunned Alistair the most was the fact that, although faint, visible cracks were already appearing on the barrier at a speed that could be seen with the naked eye.

’Even I can’t damage this barrier so easily...’

The Blood Monarch thought with an absurd expression on his face, feeling increasingly dizzy from all the ridiculous things happening one after another.

In reality, Elora’s current power had already weakened significantly compared to Alistair and the others because the Halberd of Destruction was almost fully repaired and was gradually sealing away the Power of the END once again.

The only reason she could still damage the barrier so effectively was because of the inherently destructive nature of her power.

BANG!

With a thunderous explosion, the barrier Alistair had created shattered like fragile glass, its countless fragments scattering through the sky like falling stars.

ROAR!

The crimson beast released a deep and furious roar before charging toward Evan once again with every ounce of strength it had left.

However, this time, Evan did not attempt to flee from the approaching beast.

Instead, he calmly waited for it to approach him.

The moment the beast came within one hundred meters of him and the horrifying pressure surrounding it enveloped his body, Evan finally spoke in a low voice.

"Come back, Elora."

The instant those words left his mouth, the completely repaired Halberd of Destruction inside his core world began shining brilliantly.

At the same time, Evan heard the sound of chains rattling, as though some ancient seal hidden deep inside the crimson beast’s body had suddenly activated.

ROAR!

The giant beast froze instantly.

Before anyone present could even react, its colossal body transformed into a streak of golden light and disappeared directly into Evan’s body.

Evan immediately looked inside his soul space and saw Elora lying there unconscious in her human form.

’Finally... it’s over...’

He sighed deeply in relief after confirming that she was safe.

Then, noticing that only twenty seconds remained before the effects of Draven’s authority expired, Evan immediately decided to leave before anything else happened.

However, just as he opened his mouth to tell Draven to return to the closed world of the Drayds...

’Are you planning to leave without greeting your father?’

A voice suddenly echoed directly inside his mind.
