Seraphine straddled Kael, spreading her legs and settling one thigh on either side of his hips.

Her thick, soft thighs squeezed his waist firmly as she lowered herself onto him. For a moment, the full weight of her round ass pressed down on his pelvis. Her plump buttocks molded around him like two warm cushions, the soft flesh giving a slow, heavy wobble before going still.

She leaned in slowly, her pink locks cascading down her shoulders and tickling his neck.

Her heavy breasts swayed forward with the movement, hanging for a heartbeat before pressing against Kael’s chest. The soft mounds squashed against his muscles, swelling out at the sides as she sank further into him.

He could feel their warmth seeping through the thin fabric, along with her hard nipples grazing his skin with every breath she took.

Her lips drew closer, her warm breath brushing against his face.

Their lips met for a brief moment, soft and slightly trembling.

Kael was happy to see Seraphine being so proactive. His hands slid down her slender waist, tracing the curve where it flared into her wide hips.

But then he remembered something.

"You know the Secret Realm’s consciousness is watching everything, right?"

The moment the words left his mouth, Seraphine shuddered from head to toe.

Her entire body froze against him, and her thighs clamped down on his hips by reflex.

Her face, already flushed, turned red all the way to her ears.

Letting out an embarrassed grunt, she hugged him tightly and buried her face against his neck, a high-pitched, muffled squeal escaping against his skin.

Kael just laughed heartily, his chest shaking beneath her.

Truthfully, he didn’t care much about that, even though, lately, he’d been feeling more and more possessive of the women he claimed as his own.

The consciousness of that world wasn’t exactly a human being. It had no sex, no gender, and no human concept of desire.

Feeling jealous of the Secret Realm’s consciousness was like feeling jealous of a cat.

Such beings were entirely different from humans, and they could barely make sense of human sexuality.

Of course, things would be quite different if that consciousness were the soul fragment of some cultivator. But that wasn’t the case.

So Kael didn’t press the issue. He simply embraced her tenderly, running his hand slowly down her back and sliding his fingers through her pink hair.

Little by little, the tension melted from her shoulders, and her body relaxed against his.

"You know... when we leave the Inferior Region, there’ll be an army waiting to kill us and steal whatever we’ve obtained in the Secret Realm," he remarked softly.

Seraphine lifted her face slightly from his chest—still flushed—and rested her chin there.

"We don’t have to leave," she said. "Didn’t you see that golden door? It’s one of the exits from the Secret Realm. We can stay here cultivating until it opens."

Kael turned his head, finally paying attention to the door. It glowed with a soft, steady golden light, with ancient runes engraved along its edges.

He sent a thin stream of Qi toward it, feeling the energy travel through the runes and return, bringing the answer with it.

Once he confirmed she was right, a broad smile spread across his face.

It would be fun to see the looks on the faces of those waiting outside when only a few minutes remained before the Secret Realm closed and the two of them still hadn’t come out.

’System... seven days must have already passed in here... Has Seraphine been reset yet?’ Kael asked mentally.

[No. Only the time spent on the Main Plane counts toward the theft countdown.]

The answer left Kael a little discouraged, but in the end, there was nothing he could do about it.

For the rest of their days in the Secret Realm, he simply cultivated alongside Seraphine.

Thanks to the system, meditation itself wasn’t all that important for Kael. Still, he made good use of the time to strengthen his constitution, letting his Qi circulate through his muscles and bones.

Seraphine had just made a major breakthrough and once she finally grew used to the new power of the Qi in her body, she began studying the Healing Art of the Divine Maiden of the Rising Sun.

By the second day of study, she had completely forgotten to meditate.

She just sat cross-legged with the book open on her lap, turning page after page, her eyes shining.

Kael, sitting not far away, slowly shook his head, holding back a smile.

"Are you mastering it well?" he asked.

"Yes." Seraphine nodded, the pink strands framing her face swaying with the movement.

She paused, carefully closed the book, and raised her right hand.

When someone began training in a cultivation technique, they usually came to possess that technique’s Qi as well.

Kael’s technique, for example, was fire-based, so his Qi had transformed into fire Qi.

A cultivator could change their Qi, but there were only two ways to do it.

The first was to destroy their cultivation foundation and start over from scratch.

The second was to study a higher-level cultivation technique. It was a bit complicated, but with persistence, a cultivator could completely change their type of Qi.

Seraphine closed her eyes, gathering her Qi in her hand.

For a moment, her dantian trembled. Right after, a powerful rosy Qi engulfed her hand, glowing and flickering like fire and spreading a gentle, pleasant warmth through the air around her.

Seraphine opened her eyes, and a broad smile lit up her face.

"It took me more than seven days to master the Qi of the Purewind Family’s cultivation technique, but only two to master this one... I feel like my affinity for it is much greater..." she said, slowly turning her hand and watching the pink Qi dance between her fingers.

She still had a long way to go. She hadn’t even managed to read a single word of the first of the Twelve Healing Techniques of the Divine Maiden of the Rising Sun.

Even so, she couldn’t hide her excitement.
