Yu Xian frowned the moment he saw the opening scene. A young man who looked extremely similar to him appeared on the screen, holding a medical report in his hand with an utterly despairing expression.

Although the person impersonating him looked almost identical to him, Yu Xian could still easily tell that the other party was nothing more than a fake. He sped up the video. Truth and falsehood blurred across the screen. While certain parts indeed were faithful to his life's story, others were not.

The plot progressed quickly and eventually reached the part depicting his battle with Edward. Yu Xian immediately frowned, because this section consisted entirely of footage he had filmed himself. The uploader had directly taken his recordings and used them as part of the film.

After watching the film, Yu Xian put down his phone and looked at Shui Yuetian. "Shuishui, do you know who uploaded this film?"

Shui Yuetian shook her head. "No. They uploaded it anonymously."

Yu Xian looked at himself on the cover and frowned. "Then what does that person hope to gain from doing this?"

Shui Yuetian replied without hesitation, "Of course, they gain something. They inserted a lot of advertisements into the film. Didn't you notice?"

Yu Xian closed his eyes and instantly compared every scene in the film with the footage he had originally recorded. Sure enough, he discovered that the film contained quite a few advertisements. Shop names were replaced, passersby's clothing was altered, and even many advertisements and billboards on the Blue Planet were blatantly replaced with advertisements from Crescent Bay.

He asked, "Can we trace them through these brands?"

Shui Yuetian shook her head. "Fish God, the companies behind these brands all outsource this kind of advertising to the Commission Guild, and the Commission Guild is the one that posts the jobs. The Commission Guild doesn't require real-name registration. Anyone can accept jobs from the guild, so trying to identify the target through it is practically impossible."

Yu Xian said helplessly, "So basically, there's almost no way to find them."

Shui Yuetian nodded. "In theory, yes. But there is actually one clumsy method."

Yu Xian expectantly looked at her. "What method?"

Shui Yuetian leaned closer and asked in a conspiratorial whisper, "Fish God, you're from the Blue Planet in this universe, right?"

Yu Xian saw the certainty on Shui Yuetian's face and was surprised. "How do you know?"

Seeing that Yu Xian did not lose his temper after his secret was exposed, Shui Yuetian quietly breathed a sigh of relief. "Blue Planet's existence has never been a secret to Crescent Bay. It's just that the Seven-Race Alliance has an unspoken agreement not to make contact with Blue Planet's humans. This is actually something of an understanding shared among the myriad races. They do not actively contact civilizations that have no Heaven-rank supernatural beings.

"However, as Crescent Bay developed more and more, Heaven-rank supernatural beings did eventually appear on the Blue Planet. But first, the Blue Planet was simply too far away. Second, its resources held little appeal. And third, the leaders of the human race—one of the seven races that formed the Seven-Race Alliance—wanted the Blue Planet to continue developing independently, free from the influence of Crescent Bay's civilization. So although Crescent Bay and your Blue Planet exist in the same universe, the two sides have never had any direct contact."

Yu Xian finally understood. "I see."

Shui Yuetian knowingly smiled. "Fish God, you should know what I'm getting at now, right?"

Yu Xian looked at her and made a thoughtful guess. "You mean... the person who uploaded the film is also from the Blue Planet, just like me?"

That was the only explanation that made sense. Members of other races certainly wouldn't risk offending the human race just to do something like this.

Yu Xian now understood why Shui Yuetian had called it a crude method. It really was crude, and finding the culprit would be almost like searching for a needle in a haystack. They would have to search through the countless humans in Crescent Bay for someone who, like him, had come from the Blue Planet. That person was very likely the one who had uploaded the film.

While Yu Xian was thinking, the robot began serving the food. The drinks came first. The robot placed a glass of scarlet blood in front of Yu Xian. He could smell the blood of more than ten thousand different creatures within it. It truly lived up to the name Blood Runs Like a River. At least ten thousand living beings had shed blood for this single drink.

Unfortunately, the bloodlines of supernatural races were all protected by Bloodline Gene Locks, so Yu Xian had no expectations whatsoever for the blood in the drink. Still, he could absorb the energy contained within it and store that energy to strengthen Little Nora later. The stronger Little Nora became, the stronger Yu Xian naturally became as well.

Shui Yuetian looked at Yu Xian with anticipation. "Fish God, try it! A lot of vampires say it's delicious."

Yu Xian nodded, picked up the glass, and took a sip. Countless flavors blossomed across his taste buds, while fragments of memories continuously flashed through his mind.

He set the glass down and calmly said, "Maybe I'm a little different from other vampires. This tastes... awful."

Ordinary vampires were quintessential creatures of darkness and undead beings, practically indistinguishable from demonic fiends. By nature, they tended toward darkness, enjoyed watching others suffer, and took pleasure in tormenting other living beings.

Yu Xian had once belonged to the category of creatures of darkness as well, but after countless mutations, he had diverged from other vampires and become a new race of his own. Shining Vampires as a whole were not creatures of darkness at all. If anything, they were closer to light-aligned demons. That was why blood saturated with the suffering of its owners only made Yu Xian irritated and uncomfortable. There was simply no way he could enjoy it.

Shui Yuetian replied, "As expected of Fish God. You're completely different from ordinary vampires. Try this dish. It's called the Myriad-Race Platter. It's sort of like your human dish Buddha Jumps Over the Wall— No, no, the Manchu-Han Imperial Feast would be a better comparison. Basically, it combines the cooking styles of countless races and piles them all together into a single dish."

Yu Xian looked at the food piled into a small mountain in the middle of the table and forced a smile. "Then... I'll give it a try."

He could already see something inside the dish that looked suspiciously like a human thigh. That can't actually be a human leg, can it?

With cuisine from countless races mixed, there was no guarantee that one of those races didn't consider humans food. Although humans wielded considerable influence in Crescent Bay, it was impossible for them to protect every human. At the very least, humans outside Crescent Bay were not under their protection.

Yu Xian picked up his chopsticks, but in the end, he still couldn't bring himself to take a bite. He asked, "Shuishui, that isn't a human leg, is it?"

Shui Yuetian hurriedly explained, "Of course not! This dish is actually vegetarian. Besides, one of Crescent Bay's unwritten rules is that intelligent lifeforms aren't allowed to be eaten. Humans are an intelligent species too, so how could they be used as food?"

Of course, that unwritten rule only applied within Crescent Bay. Once someone entered the Abyss, that was an entirely different matter.

Just then, a commotion took place at the shop's entrance. Yu Xian turned around and saw the pig-headed man he had sent flying earlier standing outside with a whole group of other pig-headed men.

The pig-headed man spotted Yu Xian and immediately pointed him out to a burly pig-headed man beside him whose skin was a coppery red. "Big Bro, that's the country bumpkin who hit me!"

Yu Xian had thought the man had realized the difference in their strength and slunk away in shame. "So he went to get reinforcements."

Not only had he not run away, but he had even called over a whole group of friends to gang up on a poor, weak country bumpkin like him. These city folk really had no sense of martial ethics.
