Chapter 236: Ni Man Makes Up Her Mind

It had all been one long dream. When everyone woke from their dreams, pink mist appeared around them. As the mist dispersed once more, everyone found themselves beside a stream.

Bluebird, Zhang Shou, and Gong Qian had all chosen Future Mushrooms. They immediately gathered to discuss the futures they had seen. In the end, they discovered that their dreams had gone in completely different directions, essentially showing three different timelines.

Little Nora lay sprawled on the grass, pounding the ground with an unwilling expression. "I wasn't even full yet! Damn it! I woke up way too soon."

Little Huang Quan walked over and sat beside Yu Xian, happily looking up at him. "Big Bro, I gained enlightenment into 108 different seasonings for barbecue."

Sweat immediately appeared on Yu Xian's forehead. He forced a smile. "Then I'll be looking forward to your next barbecue!"

He truly hadn't expected Little Huang Quan to use her enlightenment on something like this. It seemed there was no way he could teach her how to cook. He would have to send her to a proper culinary school. Only there could she be trained into a great chef.

Shui Yuetian rubbed Xiong Da's chubby belly. "Xiong Da, what did you choose?"

Xiong Da took an apple out of his spatial ring, wiped it off, and stuffed it into his mouth. "An Enlightenment Mushroom, of course."

Although he loved eating and hated working, and he was so fat he practically looked like a ball, he had actually always worked hard at his cultivation. This enlightenment had brought him tremendous gains. He had pushed the Rocket Bear Art to an entirely new level, and now all he had to do was cultivate it step by step.

The mushroom people returned. Some carried fruit on their backs, some hauled drinks, while several others worked together to carry the tableware.

"Guests, we're here!"

After bringing the items to Yu Xian's group, the mushroom people sat down on the grass to rest one after another, looking as though they had just accomplished something tremendous.

Shui Yuetian picked up a little mushroom person beside her and said with a smile, "Thanks for your hard work."

Just then, she noticed Nora nearby. Following Nora's gaze, she saw Yu Xian talking with Little Huang Quan and snickered to herself. Sure enough, the film didn't get it wrong. Something is indeed going on between these two.

The pleasant, exotic fragrance from before drifted over once again as Ni Man gracefully approached the group in an outfit resembling a qipao. She smiled at them. "Honored guests, are you satisfied with our service?"

As she spoke the final three words, she let her gaze fall on Yu Xian, or more precisely, on his lips. As a naturally born deity and an exceptionally unique Creator God at that, she certainly wasn't someone who would kiss just anyone.

If it hadn't been necessary to get Yu Xian into a state of enlightenment as quickly as possible, she could have taken things slowly, using her ability to gradually guide him until he entered that state on his own. It would have taken roughly half an hour. But with Eternal Purity standing right there, Ni Man didn't want to wait. So, she had kissed Yu Xian and used her unique constitution to force him into a state of enlightenment.

This was actually the first time she had ever kissed a human. She had kissed mushroom people before, but only to bestow blessings upon them.

Even among the mushroom people she had personally created, very, very few had ever received her blessing. Besides, mushroom people had no gender to begin with, and neither did she. It was only after arriving in Crescent Bay that she followed her heart and chose to present herself in a female form. It was because she loved creating life and watching the lives she created gradually grow, which was no different from being a "mother."

Shui Yuetian smiled. "Of course. I haven't had such a wonderful dream in a very long time."

Little Nora very much wanted to say that he wasn't satisfied, but his mouth was already full of the food brought over by the mushroom people, so he could only give up. The others also politely expressed their satisfaction one after another. Only Nora kept glancing back and forth between Yu Xian and Ni Man. She keenly noticed that something was unusual about the way Ni Man had looked at Yu Xian just now.

While Nora's thoughts were in turmoil, Ni Man quietly appeared beside her. Lowering her head, she whispered, "Little girl, don't let the prophetic dream trouble you. A prophetic dream shows only one possibility among countless possibilities. In truth, it's merely a form of deduction, and its accuracy isn't nearly as high as you imagine. After all, we're in the place with the greatest number of variables, the Abyss!"

She then straightened up and walked toward Yu Xian. Seeing her approach, Yu Xian got curious. "What did you say to Nora?"

He had also noticed that something was wrong with Nora's mood, but after Ni Man leaned over and said something to her, Nora's expression returned to normal.

Ni Man sat down beside Yu Xian and gave him a mysterious smile. "Nothing. Just some secrets between women."

She created an invisible spatial barrier around them. "How about we make a deal?"

Yu Xian glanced at the spatial barrier. "What kind of deal?"

Ni Man replied, "I want to join your team, but my position must be second only to yours. If you're the leader, then I must be the deputy leader. If you're the guild master, then I'll be the deputy guild master. If you're the president, then I'll be the vice president. As for what you get in return, that would be my loyalty!"

Yu Xian stared at her with his mouth hanging open, then explained, "Uh... well, I think you may have misunderstood something. I don't actually have a team."

Ni Man frowned. "You don't have a team? Then who are they?"

After hearing Eternal Purity's advice, she had specifically looked up information about Yu Xian. She had even found the film about him on the network, watched it, and analyzed his personality.

Because she knew Yu Xian disliked schemes and intrigue, she had chosen to lay everything out openly this time and make a direct approach. Yet Yu Xian was telling her that he had no team and no organization of his own.

Yu Xian glanced at Zhang Shou and the others and, as though it were the most obvious thing in the world, replied, "They're my friends."

Ni Man was speechless. She wondered whether Eternal Purity meant that she should become Yu Xian's friend or perhaps even enter that kind of relationship with him.

Ni Man instinctively looked toward Eternal Purity, but Eternal Purity showed no intention of looking at her at all. She continued smiling at Yu Xian, as though Yu Xian alone was worthy of her gaze.

Eternal Purity's gaze only made Ni Man even more convinced of her interpretation. So, that's it!

She looked at Nora and silently apologized to her. Her opportunity to break through to Cosmic rank lay with Yu Xian, so no matter who her rival was, she intended to compete for it.
