Chapter 2138 - 2138: The Path to the Top Ten (1)

'Why are all the Elemental Spirits in this universe so unique?'

Earlier, when Ajax killed Veyric's team, the Elemental Spirits summoned by them were also somewhat different compared to the Elemental Spirits in his universe.

It was not just Veyric's team.

Almost every Elemental Spirit Ajax had seen after entering the Elemental Source Land looked different.

Most of the Elemental Spirits in his universe looked completely human, except for a few special ones like Necros and Nite.

However, the Elemental Spirits in this universe were completely different.

Almost all of them looked like a combination of beasts and humans.

Some didn't even resemble humans or beasts.

And now, there was this ghostly Elemental Spirit in front of him.

'There has to be a reason for such a drastic difference.'

Ajax narrowed his eyes.

He had originally thought that the difference was simply because of the Elemental Spirit species available in this universe.

But after seeing so many unique Elemental Spirits, he began to feel that there was something deeper behind it.

"Brother Ajax?"

Thorne's voice pulled Ajax out of his thoughts.

Ajax looked at Thorne.

"What is it?"

"I will tell you why I was so confident about getting more spots in the top ten rankings."

Thorne smiled.

"It is because of Sister Nyra."

"Sister Nyra?"

Ajax looked towards the ghostly Elemental Spirit.

"Yes."

Thorne nodded.

"This Elemental Spirit is called Spectros."

"Spectros?"

Ajax looked at it with interest.

"Spectros is extremely good at concealing its presence and spying on others. Moreover, it can split itself into many clones."

"Although its attack and defence are extremely weak, it is one of the best Elemental Spirits when it comes to gathering information."

Thorne explained, and Ajax nodded slowly.

"So, Nyra uses Spectros to gather information?"

"That's right."

Thorne smiled.

"Sister Nyra doesn't have strong battle prowess, but she has always relied on Spectros to hide and observe others."

"In fact, she makes a living by gathering information and selling it to others."

Listening to Thorne, Ajax looked at Spectros with some interest.

'So, she is an information broker.'

It was no wonder that even he had failed to notice Spectros.

With such powerful concealment abilities, Spectros could easily hide from most cultivators.

"Junior Brother Thorne, how do you know Sister Nyra entered the Elemental Source Land?"

"We saw all the participants but not Sister Nyra."

Even though Flint and others hadn't met Nyra before, they had obviously heard about her.

However, they didn't see her when entering the Source Land.

"With her character, there is no way she would show herself in front of everyone."

Thorne shook his head.

"Although no one saw Sister Nyra entering this High-level Elemental Source Land, I knew there was no way she would miss such an opportunity."

Thorne continued.

"She is someone who excels at collecting information. There is no way she would ignore an opportunity to enter a place like this."

"Moreover, with her limited battle prowess, I already knew what she would do after entering the Elemental Source Land."

Thorne looked at Nyra's ghostly Elemental Spirit.

"Hide, observe others and wait for opportunities."

"That makes sense."

Ajax nodded.

"With Spectros's abilities, I know you have already found out how many Elemental Spirit Ascension Crystals the other participants have collected."

Thorne looked towards Spectros talking to Nyra through the Elemental Spirit.

"And you should also know how many crystals are needed to enter the top ten rankings."

"That's right."

The ghostly Elemental Spirit nodded.

"Then, what do you want in return for that information?"

Thorne asked.

Nyra didn't immediately answer.

After a brief silence, she spoke through Spectros.

"What would I get in return?"

"I will give you three Heavenly Escape Talismans."

Thorne didn't hesitate.

Even though Nyra's ability to hide was top-notch, it was not comparable to her Elemental Spirit Spectros.

Once her enemies found her hiding location, only death would await her.

So, Nyra needed as many Heavenly Escape Talismans to increase her survival chances against her enemies.

"I want five."

Nyra immediately asked for more.

"Sure."

Thorne agreed without hesitation.

Seeing that, Nyra's eyes flashed with surprise; however, Thorne and others couldn't see it, as she was in some place where no one knew where she was.

She clearly didn't expect Thorne to agree so quickly.

"And 10,000 Elemental Spirit Ascension Crystals."

Nyra added another condition.

Thorne frowned slightly.

By dividing the crystals equally among them, they would get 55,000 each. But they were not sure whether they would get the top spots even with that and sought Nyra's help.

Now giving her 10,000 would further reduce their chances of entering the top rankings.

"Don't worry. I want them after the end of the First Round."

Nyra's voice carried a faint smile.

"Fine."

Thorne didn't hesitate a single bit and instantly agreed.

For Thorne, having four spots in the top 10 rankings was more than enough to get four Divine Elemental Potions.

As long as he got them, forget giving 10,000 crystals; even giving 20,000 crystals was not a big deal for him.

"Then, tell me how many crystals we need to enter the top 10."

"Brother Thorne, before I reveal that information, I will ask you something."

Nyra suddenly asked through Spectros, "What if I didn't appear?"

"With your character, how could I not know that you would appear after seeing so many Elemental Spirit Ascension Crystals?"

Thorne smiled.

Nyra was silent for a moment.

Then, she laughed lightly.

"It's entirely true. If I didn't see so many Elemental Spirit Ascension Crystals, I would not have appeared no matter what."

Each Elemental Spirit Ascension Crystal is very valuable for the summoners, and one of them could be sold for at least 10 High-level Spirit Stones.

With 10,000 crystals she asked Thorne for, she basically earned 100,000 High-level Spirit Stones, which was enough to buy a couple of Legend Grade Weapons.

"As of now, the first place in the rankings is Elyndra Raith from the Raith Spirit Clan."

Soon, Nyra's voice came through Spectros as she continued, "With a total of 250,000 Elemental Spirit Ascension Crystals."

"What?"

Everyone, including Ajax, was shocked to hear that.
