Seeker wasted no time and headed towards his newly met friends.
As the dangers of death approached them, Seeker had to be there to save them.
"Hm... I wonder... Some of them have to die if I want to save them and make them my team..." Seeker quietly thought.
His thoughts considered which of them would die, but ultimately decided against it.
"That’s too cruel. They may be Pioneers, but they did give me a ride. Ideally, they would have other friends! That’s it... That should work!" Seeker smirked.
And so a gathering was arranged.
The group of friends invited several other friends at the invitation of a party.
The event would be hosted at the home of one of the girls.
Liani Fresks was one of the girls that Seeker flirted with.
When Seeker said that he wanted to celebrate, she took the initiative and offered one of their suits.
Seeker saw the tall series of buildings that belonged to the Fresks family.
"So this is a Level Two Pioneer family." Seeker observed the corporation and began to gauge the wealth and power of the family.
Despite the apparent wealth, Seeker knew that this family was practically a low-middle class in Earth’s society if the ’extremely rich’ were considered the Presiders.
"Finder!" Liani cried out.
Together with her were the two girls that Seeker had met. But to Seeker’s surprise, there were three more girls who stood at the back as the three girls approached.
Liani, being the host, was allowed to take more space in her hug towards Seeker.
The three girls at the back continued to ogle at Seeker.
"It’s so... big." The girl blushed as she observed the armband of Seeker.
The armband made them guess the same guess that the group of five originally had.
"He must be from a Level Four or maybe... a Level Five family! Imagine! A level five!" One of the girls tried to hide her cries.
"If his family could afford to make him a level two at such a young age, then... he could easily be level four. I can’t believe it!"
"He’s mine..." One of the girls boldly declared.
"Let’s go! Taliana and Umbeyown are already upstairs with Brentson and Kulven!" Liani grabbed Seeker and led her toward the high-rise elevators.
"Hello, Finder. It’s an honor to meet you." One of the girls spoke as the elevator started to move.
"The pleasure is mine." Seeker smiled.
"So... You’re quite well-endowed for your age." The girl smirked.
Seeker laughed but then his expression changed.
"Oh? Danger? Is this my Zone?" Seeker was surprised. His Zone had been quiet the moment he arrived in this world. But now, he felt a sense of danger.
"Just in time. It seems Lowengren’s preparation is coming. Knowing him and Harker, I’m sure they will not make it easy for me..." Seeker sighed.
Before any of the girls could react, the elevator doors were opened.
Five men forced their way into the elevator.
"Three of them are here. Liani Fresks. Emily Gransel. And the heir to Molves family, Amalene Molves." One of the five reported.
"Liani Fresks. Give us the band, and we will spare your life." The man spoke as he raised his arm.
Their armbands turned into weapons.
The two other men shot a strange EMP pulse that caused the elevator’s system to shut down.
"Ahhhh!"
"Shut it!" The man roared and silenced the girls.
Liani froze in freight. The few girls behind them were trying to access their bands and panicked as they saw that it was shut off!
"Excuse me. But what do you need with my friends?" Seeker frowned as he stepped in between the girls with his band glowing gold.
The men were surprised at Seeker’s band.
"A level two Pioneer?! Who are you?!"
"Finder Golderon. And I’d appreciate it if you shut your weapons down and reactivate the bands of these girls." Seeker smiled as he bravely stood before the soldiers.
"Kill-"
But right before the man could utter the command, Seeker took action.
A quick uppercut occurred as Seeker’s armband covered his hand like a glove.
The man’s mouth was shattered and Seeker quickly attacked the remaining members.
POW!
A straight punch from the armored hand of Seeker immediately took out another who was about to shoot.
ZAP! ZAP!
"Shoot!"
Seeker kept carrying the dead man like a meat shield with one hand and dragged the other mouth-shattered soldier as he charged forward.
Like a human club, Seeker flung the man and made the other three retreat.
The three men began to transform as the armband was slowly producing what seemed to be nanotech dust which was becoming an Exoskeleton armor.
With their dominant arm continually firing they distanced themselves from Seeker and the meatshields.
Seeker blocked with the bodies and immediately threw the bodies at two shooters and took an exploding step forward.
BANG!
His speed was fast even with his legs un-enhanced with any devices from his armband.
The soldier that Seeker charged at wasn’t slow as his nanotech suit had already covered his other arm and he blocked the strike of Seeker.
CRACK!
The man’s arms were shattered and even the armor that covered and protected his left arm exploded to dust.
The impact sent the man flying further back.
CRASH!
"Wha...?!"
"Pull back! That Pioneer isn’t normal!" One of the remaining two quickly retreated.
The two remaining shooters now had an armor that was similar to that of an Exoskeleton as the nanotech suit was close to being finished.
Seeker’s arm turned into a gun as he began to shoot at one of the men who began to slide to the side as it countered its barrage.
BOOOM!
Seeker made another explosive leap and punched at the face of the man whose face was about to be covered with the nanotech armor.
STAB!
Seeker’s arm stabbed inside and pierced through the man’s neck as the suit finally covered the man.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
Seeker had a new meat shield that was encased in armor and blocked the barrage of the last surviving soldier.
"Damn it! Damn it! Sir! We failed to capture the targets! A level-two Pioneer killed everyone!" The man reported as he fled and shot.
He then saw that the back of the head of the meat shield began to turn bright red.
ZAP!
A beam shot and pierced through the back of the head of the meat shield and pierced the last soldier’s heart.
KZZT! KZZZT!
The head and the torso of Seeker’s meat shield collapsed and broke down as a large hole was made from the neck that severed the body.
Seeker’s golden arm was still glowing a strange red hue as he began to shake the blood off.
Without saying anything, Seeker moved and began to rip off the armband from each of the soldiers.
When he peeled off the armband, the nanotech suit of the soldiers also disintegrated and was all being absorbed back into the armband.
Seeker quickly returned to the elevator, and using one of the soldier’s armbands, he fired a strange EMP round.
Everything that had been shut off was immediately activated.
The elevator and the bands of the five women returned to power.
"Liani. Listen carefully..." Seeker spoke.
The armband of Liani began to glow white as it started to produce chemicals that reduced her shock and stun.
"Does your family have a shelter or an escape hatch that we can use?"
"Ye-Yes.’ Liani answered.
"Call Taliana, Umbeyown, Brentson, and Kulven and tell them to go there. They are after you. You heard them."
"What?"
Seeker held the armband and it replayed what the soldier said.
"Three of them are here. Liani Fresks. Emily Gransel. And the heir to Molves family, Amalene Molves." The recording replayed.
Emily and Amalene’s expression changed.
"Three are here. Which means, they are looking for more. It’s probably them." Seeker suddenly connected the armband of one of the soldier’s onto Liani.
"What...!?"
KZZZT!
All of a sudden, the same Exoskeleton suit began to wear itself on Liani.
"Impossible! How did you do that?!" One of the other girls cried in shock.
"We have five armbands. Wear it. We’ll need it in the battles to come." Seeker warned as he ignored the question.
"Where is your shelter?"
"Each floor has a secret elevator shaft that shoots us straight down."
"Then we head up first. I’m worried about our friends. Stay behind me, keep this armor up at all times. If they find you, they might think you’re an ally since you wear the costume. For now, we fight to live. I’ll explain everything later on." Seeker answered as the elevators moved up to the next floor.
The rest of the girls were equipped with the armband and was shocked that they could access and assimilate with everything the armband had.
"It’s... empty."
"That’s how I got you to wear it. These armbands aren’t real. They’re blank ones given to Planteds as soldiers. A hit squad is sent here. I’m curious though... What exactly do they want, Liani?"
To Seeker’s surprise, Liani had a fearful expression!
