The man was one of the two security team members who had come along with Captain Zhou. Yang Xiao found his face familiar, but just couldn’t remember his name.

And when he noticed Yang Xiao looking at him, the man quietly lowered his head, taking the chance to talk to the other team member to avoid Yang Xiao’s gaze.

"It’s him!!" Yang Xiao’s heart jolted. He hadn’t expected the Ghost to disguise itself as such a petty, insignificant person.

But right now he had to deal with this piss first, or he was going to wet his pants.

Maybe sensing Yang Xiao’s embarrassment, everyone present was secretly watching him. Yang Xiao stood up and strode toward the door, and Chief Zhou immediately followed, "Ah, Liberation, you finally figured it out, go apologize to Captain Zhai. I know Old Zhai, he’s got a belly big enough for boats, he won’t hold it against you..."

"Sss—"

"Sss sss—"

The next second, Captain Zhou and everyone else on the scene couldn’t help widening their eyes. The two security team members in the corner even stood up, staring at Yang Xiao in disbelief.

They saw Yang Xiao stop when there was only one step left to the door, then, with his back to everyone, he pulled down his pants, held his precious, and started peeing out the doorway.

The thick, forceful stream echoed through the room, and the surroundings fell dead silent.

Yang Xiao was someone who cared about his dignity—but in the Nightmare World, that didn’t work.

When he was done, he shook it a few times, pulled his pants up, and turned around like no one else existed. By now, the faces of the people behind him had completely changed; every one of them was glaring at him with venomous Resentment.

If looks could kill, Yang Xiao would have died at least ten times already.

Seeing this, Yang Xiao smirked. He knew his chance had come. He lifted his head and swept these "people" with a provocative gaze, looking down on all four corners, then snorted, "What, why are you looking at me like that? Not going to keep trying to persuade me to leave? I’m not done playing yet."

"Zzz... zzzzzz..."

As soon as the words left his mouth, the bulb overhead flickered twice for no reason, and the room’s light dimmed a lot, giving off the feeling that the ability was about to run dry.

As the light flickered, these team members each showed their true faces: all people who had died miserably, their faces flayed off.

Wang Yong, Ma Jing, Zhang Xiaomin, Feng Xiaoyan, they were all here. But now they were separated from the living by life and death; some people were destined never to come back.

Besides those four, there were a few others, also people who had previously died horribly with their faces stripped.

With one glance, Yang Xiao recognized the man standing in the back: Equipment Department’s Old Zhang, dressed in an old-style blue work uniform and wearing big leather shoes, the leather polished to a bright shine.

All of them were staring at him with the same eerie, rigid gaze, which reminded Yang Xiao of a line written on the script box:

"I’m watching you!"

A similar line had appeared in Sun Ying’s memories—that was what Zhou Wenqing had said while cutting her face with scissors.

As the surrounding scene started to come apart, Yang Xiao knew this was the Ghost’s ability collapsing. After all, it couldn’t possibly keep deceiving him forever; that was part of the rules.

To be fair, though, the fact that this Ghost’s illusion could hold up this long was something Yang Xiao hadn’t expected at first.

It’s just that this Ghost was too dumb, left him with way too many loopholes. Right in the second scene shift, the moment it opened its mouth, it gave itself away.

One Chang Ghost after another began to retreat. They also left through the door, stepping with stiff, jerky movements, like walking corpses. In the last second before they left, they were still staring fixedly at Yang Xiao.

Yang Xiao could feel the thick unwillingness and hatred in their hearts. They were unwilling to just die on their own; they wanted to kill Yang Xiao too, make him stay with them forever.

Very soon, this room turned dim, and only two people were left inside. One was Yang Xiao, the other... was Song Xin.

Seeing this, Yang Xiao couldn’t help sucking in a cold breath in secret, thinking to himself that it was a damn good thing he hadn’t acted early. He really hadn’t expected the Ghost to end up disguising itself as Song Xin.

And it was strange too—Song Xin was the last one to arrive, following Captain Zhai, so Yang Xiao’s suspicion toward her had been almost the lowest.

But thinking about it, the reason was simple: the Chang Ghosts were controlled by the Source Ghost, and two Ghosts swapping identities wasn’t hard at all.

Since Yang Xiao hadn’t left the room, hadn’t stepped over the threshold, then no matter how much the Source Ghost hated him, it couldn’t lay a hand on him. After staring daggers at Yang Xiao for over ten seconds, the Source Ghost also started walking, intending to leave.

But just as "Song Xin" reached the door, a hand stopped her. Then Yang Xiao casually reached out and, with a "bang," slammed the door shut.

"Come when you want, leave when you want, you think this is your house?" Yang Xiao let out a cold laugh, putting on the airs of Ming Emperor Ye Xiao.

"Song Xin" seemed to have her rhythm broken by this. She woodenly lifted her head and stared at Yang Xiao. Other than venom and hatred, there was also a trace of complicated emotion in her eyes, like she couldn’t quite figure out this man in front of her.

"Can’t figure me out, can you?" Yang Xiao chuckled, slowly sliding his hand into his coat while baring his teeth and asking, "Do you still remember what I taught you all?"

"Song Xin" didn’t answer, just kept staring at him with that stiff, sinister gaze.

The next second, Yang Xiao yanked his hand out, gripping a large flashlight. Taking advantage of the moment he shone it straight into her eyes, Yang Xiao swung his arm wide and slapped "Song Xin" across the face, hard.

"Smack!"

"You still dare call me Captain Yang? Haven’t you died before?!"

But the instant his slap landed, Yang Xiao felt his scalp go numb—because half of "Song Xin’s" face shattered under that slap, revealing scorched flesh and bone-white cheekbone underneath.
