100X Returns System: I Dominate the Age of Gods - Chapter 276. The New Dawn - 1

Chapter 276: 276. The New Dawn – 1
Thud
The headless body of Winston Jr. II collapsed to the side, sending red blood splattering across the polished floor.
The crimson trail spread quickly, staining the marble and creating a sharp contrast.
Barash, who had earlier covered the poor girl’s mouth to keep her from screaming, finally lowered his hand and looked toward William for instructions.
“What should we do with her, my lord?” he asked in a low voice. His tone was respectful.
William remained still for a few seconds, his gaze shifted to the dead body before him.
His expression did not change by the fact that he had just beheaded someone; there was a cold finality in his silence.
Then he turned toward Barash and spoke in a calm tone “She will probably be killed by these fanatics if we leave her behind. Send her to Maris. She may be usefull to assist Emily with her work.”
Barash nodded without any further explanation. In the next instant, he disappeared along with the fainted nun into the domain of infinite.
Meanwhile, Ronin appeared behind William and knelt respectfully.
As he lowered himself, the invisibility from the Trickster’s Robe faded, and his original appearance returned. He had been tasked to collect intel in the capital city of holy sun empire.
“My lord, I walked through the city and gathered whatever information I could. I overheard church members discussing a major public celebration event that will take place across the empire in two days. Apparently, the Pope himself will be present. Some were even saying that the event will be broadcast across all of Aris.”
Ronin delivered the report in a subdued voice, careful not to miss anything important.
“Speak clearly. What exactly is happening for them to broadcast it throughout the Aris?” William asked.
Ronin’s report felt incomplete, and William did not like uncertainty when planning something this important.
Ronin lowered his gaze slightly, displeased with the lack of useful detail. “My lord, I could not determine the exact purpose of the event. Every time the topic came up among the common people, they became tense and stopped talking. The only meaningful information I obtained came from a few low-ranking church members. Even they seemed reluctant to discuss it openly.”
His frustration was evident. It was rare for Ronin to express such emotions so informally.
William gave a slight shake of his head. “It does not matter. I have no interest in what they are celebrating anyway. The only reason I needed to know about the event was so that I could gift Lord Pope his son’s head in front of the entire empire.”
The words were spoken with frightening composure. There was no rage in his tone, only certainty.
Ronin nodded solemnly. “Two days later would be the ideal time, my lord.”
William’s attention shifted back to the corpse lying at his feet. The room’s scent of hot blood was slowly rising, and he had to clear it before it reached outside.
He bent down and picked up the saint’s severed head and body before storing both inside his inventory.
He could have used spiritual energy to avoid staining his hands, but he chose not to. He wanted to feel the coldness of the corpse with his own hands. That coldness brought him a strange sense of satisfaction.
He wanted to kill the Pope, too, but that would have to wait. Two days would give him enough time to prepare.
He intended to bring Tamasya with him. Her presence would help him a lot in this, especially if things escalated beyond expectation.
At the same time, William understood that killing the leader of a nation would have consequences far beyond personal revenge. The moment he acted, his name would spread everywhere. Fame, enemies, scrutiny, and political chaos would follow.
Even so, he remained confident.
He was no longer just William. He also carried the identity of the Eternal Sovereign. That title alone gave him unseen leverage. He had Heaven-bound promises of support from the Storm Dragon, the Elven Empress Selena, the Draconis family, and principal Andrea. If needed, he could even force the Riverdale emperor to show gratitude.
For now, though, none of that mattered.
William’s gaze drifted toward the blood splattered across the floor. The mess was unpleasant, and he had no intention of leaving traces behind.
With a simple wave of his hand, the spilled blood began to stir. The liquid obeyed his will under the influence of Crimson Dominion Art he had acquired through Katherine’s feedback. Since he already possessed blood affinity, executing the spell felt almost effortless.
The blood gathered together into a round mass levitating in the air before it drifted into a glass vessel in the distance, which Rinin then securely put inside his storage to dispose of later.
Once he was done, William turned toward Ronin and sent him a silent mental instruction.
Outside the room, two knights stood in thick golden armor. Their expressions were relaxed now, far different from the tense looks they had worn earlier when standing before the saint.
“Huh, another nun defiled. The lord has been too careless recently,” one knight muttered with crude amusement.
The second knight let out a sigh. “Yeah. At this rate, we will have to cover up for him even more.”
Their casual conversation reflected just how normal such horrors had become for them.
Suddenly, the door behind them flew open with force, making both knights jolt in surprise.
They turned around immediately, only to see the half-naked saint standing there with his arms folded. A wicked smile rested naturally on his face, and his expression carried the same arrogance they were used to.
For a moment, both men froze.
Then their eyes drifted toward the partial view of pale female legs visible on the bed inside the room. The incomplete scene was enough for their minds to fill in the rest.
The saint spoke in the same stern tone as before.
“Make sure no one disturbs me for the next two days until the event begins. Kill anyone who approaches this room.”
The command was delivered with perfect confidence.
The two knights straightened immediately and nodded with slightly tense expressions. They were clearly uncomfortable, but neither dared question him.
Once the saint confirmed their obedience, he slammed the door shut.
The knights exchanged glances in silence.
“He is going to keep doing it for two days??” one of them said, disbelief evident in his voice.
The other grimaced. ” It seems like his youth is at its peak.”
Meanwhile, inside the room, William returned to his original form after removing the disguise. He glanced toward Ronin, who had already shifted back from the female appearance.
“You can return,” William said simply.
Ronin bowed once before vanishing.
William then wrapped the Trickster’s Veil around himself and stepped out through the window.
His destination was already clear in his mind; he was going to meet Tamasya. There was far too much he needed to tell her.
He left the city behind and took manual flight for the first time in a long while. Unlike usual, he did not summon his spaceship. Though he often enjoyed traveling that way, today he wanted something different.
He wanted to feel the wind against his face. He wanted to feel the warmth of the sun. The open sky gave him room to think.
Countless thoughts moved through his mind as he drifted across the clouds.
He wondered whether the Primarchs would interfere with what he was about to do.
That possibility could not be ignored. There were four Primarchs in total, each one standing at the pinnacle of the Godhood Realm.
If all four came after him, the situation would become complicated. What if even the demons saw a chance and chose to bother him??
Although he had Tamasya and Rah on his side, both strong enough to face such threats, William still disliked relying on limited numbers. He preferred certainty.
Fortunately, he still had options.
He had purchased three Demon Annihilator summoning formations earlier, and he possessed more than enough light stones to activate all three in case he needed to deal with strong demons.
There was also the matter of stabilizing the empire once the Pope was dead. A power vacuum of that scale would create chaos.
For that, William already had someone in mind.
Tamasya’s old friend was still imprisoned in the capital of Holy Sun. According to Tamasya, she had originally been the empress.
That gave William a path forward.
On top of that, he still had one unused free purchase from the shop. It remained an emergency option.
And if everything went terribly wrong, he could always reveal his connection to the Eternal Sovereign and invoke the support of the four factions bound to him by oath.
So far, nothing felt truly impossible.
Still, William was not foolish enough to believe certainty existed in a world like this. There were always hidden variables, unexpected players, and forces moving behind the scenes.
In the worst case, he could retreat to the Infinite Domain and bring everyone he cared about with him.
Time dilation within the domain would buy him what mattered most.
Time.
Time to plan. Time to grow stronger. Time to prepare. For now, however, he had finally reached Tamasya’s domain.
A faint smile appeared on his face as he slipped past the boundary using the Trickster’s Veil. For a brief moment, the thought of seeing her eased the burden in his chest.
But that calm did not last.
As he descended toward the floating island, his eyes caught the silhouette of a carriage parked amidst the clouds just beyond the domain’s edge.
His expression tightened instantly. Something about it felt wrong.
William moved closer and quickly noticed the church’s symbol engraved on its side.
The sight made his heart tighten. His breathing became sharper, and his thoughts immediately darkened.
Without wasting another second, he accelerated toward the mansion.
Even though Tamasya was the strongest being he knew, fear still gripped him. Strength did not erase worry when someone mattered to you so much.
He reached the mansion in an instant and slammed the doors open with force. The sound echoed through the hall.
As he stepped inside, his eyes immediately landed on a blue-haired old man seated across from Tamasya.
Tamasya herself looked visibly tense. There was unease in her face, and the sight alone unsettled William.
“William!!” she called out, relief and emotion surfacing in her voice.
William did not even pause to think. In the next instant, he appeared right in front of her and pulled her into a tight embrace.
The moment he saw the moisture in her eyes, everything else faded.
For now, the old man could wait. William did not sense hostility from him, so he chose not to react.
His only concern at that moment was the woman in his arms.
