100X Returns System: I Dominate the Age of Gods - Chapter 318. Trial of blood - 4

Meanwhile, within the Colosseum, William’s attention shifted as he witnessed the massive body of Victor, the dragon, finally collapse onto the ground without any movement; the sheer weight of the creature caused a heavy impact that echoed faintly through the already devastated surroundings, and upon seeing this, William allowed himself a brief moment of relief, exhaling slowly before shifting his focus toward the still struggling figure of Elavlin under his feet.
By this point, William had already secured the blood flame that had separated from Elavlin, storing it within his inventory with the intention of integrating it into himself at a later time when circumstances would allow him to do so without interruption.
At the same time, Rah descended from above; his massive form cast a shadow over the battlefield as he hovered in the air with controlled movements, his claws firmly gripped the lifeless body of Victor while his wings moved steadily to maintain his position.
“I had to hold back,” Rah spoke as he looked toward William, “because I could feel the flux of your world trying to interfere with my attacks whenever I used variance energy,” and his words caused William to frown slightly as he processed the meaning behind them.
“Flux of Aris?” William thought internally, questioning the phrase as he tried to interpret it, and then another thought followed almost immediately, “Did he mean the heavenly will?”
[Most probably.]
Although the realization brought a subtle sense of concern, William chose not to dwell on it at that moment and instead nodded in acknowledgment toward Rah, accepting the explanation without further discussion.
Rah then released his grip, dropping Victor’s massive corpse in front of William, and in response, William raised his hand and stored the body within his inventory without delay, treating it as a valuable resource; these things will be used to forge a godlike physique.
Shortly after, he did the same with Alister’s remains along with any storage rings associated with him.
With those tasks completed, William turned his attention fully toward Elavlin, who remained on the ground in a weakened and restrained state, and he looked at her calmly before asking, “Is pain better than becoming my slave?”
Elavlin did not respond verbally, and instead, she fixed her gaze on him with clear hostility; her expression WAS filled with resentment and refusal, showing no intention of yielding despite her condition.
William did not wait for her to reconsider, as he was fully aware that time was limited and hesitation would only complicate matters, so he proceeded to expose her to variance energy, and the effect was immediate as her body reacted violently, her movements turning erratic as she writhed under the sudden surge of unfamiliar pain.
He continued without pause, systematically applying multiple forms of pressure, exposing her to stellar fire, variance energy, sovereign sword intent, solar authority pressure, and even the nether element, ensuring that she experienced each one in succession without allowing her any opportunity to recover or adapt.
Among all these methods, the result was somewhat unexpected even for William, as none of the elements produced an effect as impactful as the other element when it came to breaking her mental resistance through pain.
This realization had come to him earlier when he had observed Tamasya using nether against Alister, and without that observation, he might not have considered utilizing it in this manner, as he had nearly overlooked its potential entirely.
As the exposure continued, William noticed a gradual change in Elavlin’s condition, as her mental resistance began to weaken significantly, and her will, which had initially been firm, started to fracture under the sustained pressure.
Eventually, after prolonged exposure, her resistance collapsed entirely, and she finally submitted, becoming bound to him as his slave.
[Congratulations, host. In a matter of a day, you have managed to take down 2 primarchs and enslave one.
Although the system acknowledged his achievement, William did not allow himself to become overconfident, as he understood clearly that the outcome had not been solely due to his own efforts, and both Tamasya and Rah had played crucial roles in securing victory.
Furthermore, instead of feeling satisfaction, his thoughts shifted toward a more pressing concern, as the removal of three primarchs created a significant imbalance, raising the question of who would now be capable of restraining the demon lords, a responsibility that would likely fall upon him.
His gaze returned to Elavlin, who remained on the ground in a weakened state, and recognizing that she would be of use, he asked Samantha for high-grade potions, receiving several before administering them to her, gradually restoring her condition until she could barely recover.
He decided to use her briefly and then absorb her cultivation for his own self; no way was he letting a woman who had tried to kill his mother live easily.
At that moment, Ronin appeared beside William, immediately dropping to one knee in a respectful posture before speaking, “My lord, the explosives have been successfully deployed and used. We have eliminated all low-level members of the church, effectively removing their influence, while sparing women and children as per your instructions.”
William nodded in approval, satisfied with the execution of the task, though he mentally noted that the remaining elements of the church would need to be dealt with later, as his current priority remained focused on Winston.
“There is one more matter, my lord,” Ronin added.
William turned his attention toward him and asked, “What is it?”
“My lord, we have received a report from Lord Elion,” Ronin continued. “Demon Lord Amon has dispatched his ten demon generals, and the titan emperor is currently engaging them, but among those demons, four have reached the godhood stage, while Emperor Rominus is the only one on our side at that level.”
William acknowledged the report with a slight nod before turning toward Rah and issuing a clear instruction, “Take Elavlin with you and assist the titan emperor; if they try to escape, let them do so for now. Our priorities are different for now. Try to wrap up everything and return as soon as possible.”
Rah complied without hesitation, reaching down and lifting Elavlin with his claws, and as he did so, she visibly trembled and cried out in fear, her earlier defiance completely gone under the new circumstances.
William ordered her to cooperate, and due to the nature of the slave mark, she had no choice but to obey his command, and before sending her off, William returned her the blood flame temporarily so that she could fight like before.
“If Demon Lord Amon descends, inform me immediately,” William instructed firmly.
At this point, Tamasya had regained consciousness and appeared beside him, and she spoke immediately, “I will go as well.”
William raised his hand slightly, signaling Rah to depart, and Rah complied, taking Elavlin with him as he left the battlefield, while William reached out and held Tamasya’s hand. “We still have one target left.”
Tamasya tightened her grip on his hand and responded with a faint smile, “Then let us proceed.”
William nodded in agreement, and together they ascended into the sky, with Samantha following behind them; her gaze was fixed on their joined hands as she observed them with a hint of suspicion.
As William reached the skies above the city, he activated his piercing sight and immediately saw a commotion from a considerable distance.
Without hesitation, he adjusted his direction and flew toward it, and by this time, Sunchaser had separated from him and returned to the astral plane in order to recover, leaving William to proceed independently.
At this stage, William believed that the major conflicts had been resolved and that victory was within reach.
Upon arriving at the location, he appeared beside Anastasia, the storm dragon Yun Long, and Marcus, and he immediately asked, “What happened?”
Anastasia turned toward him and responded, “Winston has entered the palace and is hiding inside.”
William’s expression tightened slightly as he processed what she said. “Then why are all of you standing here?”
Yun Long stepped forward and explained, “A barrier has formed around the palace, preventing entry. We have attempted to break it using various methods, but it has not responded to any of them. We can’t even tell if it’s made of mana.”
Hearing this, William moved forward without hesitation and extended his hand toward the invisible barrier, and as his fingers approached it, the air distorted slightly, revealing the presence of an unseen force that came into contact with his skin.
[Ding!! A new type of energy has been detected!!
