- Chapter 345. Victors Write History - 6

Andrea suddenly lifted her head and looked deeply towards everyone; her expression turned serious, and her eyes were filled with conviction.
“But not anymore; we won’t bear the will of someone who can only think ill of our people.”
Then suddenly her voice rose sharply, and she gave a declaration.
“Two of the four Primarchs are already dead… thanks to Elder White Raven of the Cult of the Eternal Sovereign!”
As she spoke, she gestured toward the silent masked figure standing beside William.
White Raven responded calmly. He placed one hand against his chest and gave a slight bow toward the audience watching across the continent.
The simple gesture carried an almost mystical dignity. Everyone watching the broadcast frowned, hearing that name; they had never heard of such a powerhouse or organization that could kill primarchs.
“In fact,” Andrea continued, “it was due to the support of the Cult of Eternal Sovereign that the World Academy survived the attack of Demon Lord Belial.”
Her words became increasingly deliberate. And the image of the eternal sovereign could deepen even more with her words.
“A legendary formation master belonging to their organization helped us defend the academy grounds and prevent complete annihilation.”
She paused briefly before speaking; she had been told not to reveal much about them and let people wonder and create stories about the eternal sovereign.
Andrea, now unconcerned with any pressure, spoke.
“For years, both the Celestial Army and the World Academy survived despite the self-sabotaging orders imposed upon us by the Primarchs. And throughout that time, the Cult of Eternal Sovereign supported our resistance from the shadows.”
William watched quietly from the side, his expression calm, though inwardly he admired how effectively Andrea was steering public sentiment, and that could act in favor of him and his cult.
Every statement was carefully crafted and pushed the narrative exactly where it needed to go.
Then Andrea straightened fully.
“Today,” she declared, “I, Andrea the white crystal dragon—Principal of the World Academy and one of the three generals of the Celestial Army alongside General Marcus—formally declare the Celestial Army and the World Academy independent from the authority of the Primarchs.”
The declaration shook the continent.
Even surviving Astral Wardens watching the broadcast felt their hearts tighten.
But Andrea was not finished yet.
“Our decision,” she continued, “will be overseen and validated by former Primarch Elavlin Whitcombe, who has chosen to repent for her past crimes and surrender herself to the will of the Eternal Sovereign.”
At those words, Andrea stepped aside.
A figure slowly emerged from behind the formation of leaders standing nearby.
Elavlin Whitcombe walked to the front.
The moment people recognized her, another wave of shock spread through Aris.
Yet unlike the dignified and untouchable image people associated with primarchs, Elavlin appeared strangely subdued. Her face remained expressionless, almost hollow, and the arrogance once associated with her title seemed absent.
She walked forward carrying a ceremonial baton and a decorated medal.
Without unnecessary theatrics, she stood in front of Andrea before turning toward the broadcast crystal.
“My name is Elavlin Whitcombe,” she said coldly. “Former Third Seat, primarch of the Astral Warden Council.”
“I hereby transfer all authority over the World Academy and the Celestial Army to General Andrea.”
“General Andrea, step forward and accept the badge and baton of a marshal.”
Andrea immediately moved forward with disciplined military precision.
She leaned slightly as Elavlin placed the marshal’s insignia upon her shoulder and handed her the ceremonial baton representing supreme authority over the organization.
Even though the third general remained absent, the combined authority of two generals and the namesdcast while rulers, nobles, and other factions began recalculating the balance of power that would emerge after today.
At the side of the platform, William could not suppress the broad smile forming on his face.
Andrea had officially become part of the Cult of Eternal Sovereignty after completing the task required for her admission. Her willingness to publicly display the fourth cardinal’s severed head earlier had already proven her commitment.
And now she had become a marshal.
Indirectly, William had gained enormous influence over the Celestial Army itself or, at the very least, over the forces loyal to Andrea and Marcus.
The implications of this development were immense for William.
Once the ceremony concluded, Elavlin silently retreated toward the back of the stage.
Andrea remained standing at the front while Marcus positioned himself several steps behind her in accordance with military protocol.
She took a slow breath and tightened her grip around the ceremonial baton of a marshal before addressing the continent once more.
“In the coming weeks,” Andrea announced, “the Celestial Army will release all records, evidence, and classified documents exposing the corruption, conspiracies, and failures hidden under the Primarchs’ administration.”
Her gaze sharpened.
“These records will serve as proof validating every claim revealed today.”
Then she paused briefly before continuing.
“And alongside those records…”
Andrea coughed lightly and steadied herself.
“…we will publicly release the true method required to permanently kill the Demon Lords.”
For a single second, complete silence overtook the continent.
Then waves of excitement exploded everywhere.
Soldiers cheered openly.
People watching from homes, streets, taverns, and palaces stared at the broadcast with disbelief and hope flooding their hearts.
For generations, Demon Lords had represented immortal calamities.
Now the possibility of truly killing them had finally been acknowledged publicly.
Andrea allowed herself a faint smile.
In truth, she understood better than anyone that simply knowing the method was not enough. Demon Lords remained overwhelmingly powerful beings, and locating and destroying their cores was a challenge far beyond ordinary warriors.
Even with knowledge, true progress would remain painfully difficult until the whole Aris grew stronger as a whole.
But none of that mattered today.
Today, their motive was to reshape beliefs in the minds of everyone on the continent about changing the direction in which Aris would move from now onward.
And so she allowed hope to spread in the public unchecked.
As Andrea concluded her speech, she moved and gave way for William, who now finally stepped forward once again toward the center of the stage.
It was time for the crowning of Anastasia as the empress of this land.
Today, the Empire will be renamed.
