Absolute Beast Dominion - Chapter 456: Wyvern Egg

Chapter 456: Wyvern Egg
“Hmm… I guess 50,000 AC worth of information is still left,” Andrew said with a contemplative expression.
“Well… I got one concrete piece of information, and another is a bit flimsy. It may or may not be true, but it’s very valuable. If it’s true, it could turn your whole life into something you could never imagine.”
“Which one do you want?” Andrew asked with a raised brow.
“Yeah, like I would allow you to cheat me. I made the payment for all the information, so naturally I should get both.”
Andrew clicked his tongue.
“Tsk, you are getting smarter.”
“So, let’s start with the concrete information. You are guaranteed to receive at least a baby Super Bloodline Earth Element beast as a gift, in addition to the yellow-tier treasure promised after you successfully locate the Wyvern.”
“And for the flimsy one, you could even get a Wyvern egg in case the Wyvern’s mate laid any eggs during all this time.”
“Shouldn’t they have already hatched? I mean, even an Elite Dragon egg doesn’t take more than a century. And it’s just a Wyvern, 5 years is enough for an egg to hatch,” Leo said, recalling the book he had read in the library related to dragons.
“Why would a Wyvern limit itself to having just a single baby? The last thing we know is that it hid itself with its mates and produced so many offspring that it built an army to counter the count in its fight against him once it emerges from the realm into the real world.”
“That… is indeed possible… But don’t realms have limited resources… wait, 160,000 km squares is big. I guess it could easily support nearly a hundred Wyverns.”
Andrew nodded at his words.
“Added to the fact that the environment is rich in the fire element, they might be thriving even if their numbers are in the 200s… though that is unlikely since none of the explorers have spotted a single Wyvern in the century.”
Then Leo asked another question.
“May I know why these two pieces of information are priced at 50,000 AC?”
Andrew shrugged.
“You are a beast master, that’s why. Tell me, after knowing this information, haven’t you already made your decision to go there?”
Leo nodded. That was indeed the case. Though the natural treasures were lucrative, it was nothing compared to having a chance to acquire a Wyvern egg.
It was a known fact that any beast at and above the 3-star rank was extremely difficult to tame, as they would prefer death over submission. And if it was something as prideful as a dragon species, there was no chance it would bow to someone just to get tamed. Especially by an inferior species such as humans.
This was also the reason Leo and Lily hadn’t rushed to the quest of hunting the 4-star realm Wyvern, since they would only get the beast core out of it.
Hmm, maybe I would need to hunt it if I manage to get the Flame Wyvern’s egg to boost the bloodline, Leo thought.
Taming the Flame Wyvern would fill the gap of the missing flame element in his arsenal and would even allow him to gain draconic traits, which were among the most superior traits any being could possess.
Especially the superior mana control and elemental control. If he acquired those, he wouldn’t need to remain fixated on a particular attack shape and could freely form his own attacks, just like how Lily was capable of doing in Spirit Integrated Form.
With the information gathering over, Leo was back in the territory, but he was in a secluded area with Shyra and Nyxa out. Both beasts lazily sat on the ground with their heads lowered. Nyxa even tilted her head slightly toward Leo as he gently stroked behind her big ear.
He was lying between the two beasts, half resting in Shyra’s paw and half in Nyxa’s. Their impossibly smooth fur threatened to make him doze off at any moment.
“Heh, no wonder Lily likes resting while buried in their heavy fur… even a few bold elves have started coming close to stroke their fur whenever they get the chance, hoping to increase closeness… and eventually sleep with both of them as Lily does.”
The first few elves were, of course, Elaris and her friend. Since they were the first elves to ride on Nyxa while tapping worm’s corpses during the beast tide, they simply couldn’t resist the softness of their fur.
“Softness, huh?” Leo muttered as he ran his hand through Shyra’s fur once again.
Yes, they were soft, impossibly so. But when the moment arrived, they became as hard as obsidian. A natural body armour Shyra wore whenever enemies were around. The only times they made their fur soft were when they were with familiar beings they felt safe around.
Surprisingly, the elves were among those.
Growl…
Nyxa released a low growl after seeing Leo stroking Shyra’s fur.
Master! You made this wench feel good a moment ago! Now it’s my turn!
Nyxa complained.
Hiss!
Shyra hissed in response.
Leo felt Shyra’s body shake, and then Nyxa’s body shook as well. A series of vibrations began as Leo realised they were kicking each other’s thighs with their hind legs. Even then, they were careful enough not to make Leo tumble away, as it was rare for him to spend time with them outside of training. Otherwise, only Lily got to share such close moments with them.
Leo simply relaxed further and fell asleep.
Nice… just like a massage chair.
They continuously kicked at each other, making their bodies vibrate like a massage chair, which only relaxed him more.
But Leo woke up soon since he still had things to do. He discovered that both girls had lowered their heads beside his face and fallen asleep. The heavy weight of their massive heads pressed against his body, but it caused Leo no trouble.
A weight that could kill a 1-star being was nothing to him; instead, it felt like a mild compression massage that only relaxed him further.
“Oh… I need to rank you two up as well,” he muttered before standing upright.
Seeing him wake up, Shyra and Nyxa also stirred awake.
“Good, now let’s get you powered up.”
Saying that, he summoned the Crocodrake’s meat.
