Absolute Beast Dominion - Chapter 457: Nyxa In Pain

Chapter 457: Nyxa In Pain
Since Leo had already fed the necessary beast cores required to give them enough existential value in their being, he only needed to feed Shyra and Nyxa some high-level beast meat, and the Crocodrake’s meat perfectly fulfilled the requirement.
Shyra and Nyxa drooled at the sight of the pile of meat before them, the strong aroma flooding their senses and urging them to devour it immediately. But the only thing restraining them was Leo’s order… because he still hadn’t allowed them to dig in.
“Good girls,” Leo said with a satisfied nod. Both beasts were highly obedient, which meant they would follow his commands effectively in battle, and their attack synergy would be excellent.
Looking around once again, he confirmed there was nobody observing him before finally allowing both beasts to eat.
They immediately began devouring the Crocodrake’s meat, while the system simultaneously helped them absorb the energy contained within the food.
Though it only absorbed the energy, their stomachs could still get full.
Nyxa looked especially happy as she sank her fangs into the meat, her tail wagging rapidly behind her.
Not long after, Leo received the awaited notification.

Now the total feedback from his beasts had reached 1900 stat points across all factors. Which meant people could already sense that Leo was at the cusp of Mid 4-star.
And since the increase came through Beast Feedback, which others could sense, both Leo’s and the beasts’ auras surged outward, instantly alerting the territory members. Sylrael was immediately alarmed because this level of strength was actually greater than hers, and she rushed toward the location without hesitation. However, when she arrived, she only found Leo standing amidst Shyra and Nyxa; all three wore fierce expressions, as if they were controlling the rampant energy coursing through their bodies.
Realising that Leo and both beasts were advancing, she immediately ordered the other elves to seal the area and not allow anybody to enter. They themselves were forbidden from even looking toward Leo’s area because of Sylrael’s command.
She knew Leo was extremely secretive about his strength, and his friendly personality might vanish the moment they stumbled upon one of his secrets. She didn’t want to take any chances, ordering the others not to even try listening to what was happening inside.
Leo, on the other hand, had already completed his control; only the lingering aura remained. Shyra also seemed stable, but there was a problem with Nyxa.
“Nyxa?” Leo called out, concern edging his voice as the eclipsed crescent sun mark on Nyxa’s forehead began glowing intensely. The crescent portion shone with a bright golden-yellow light, standing in stark contrast to the surrounding darkness.
Nyxa herself seemed to be in immense pain as her knees buckled while she tried to steady herself. The wolf’s face twisted painfully as she suppressed the urge to cry out.
Suddenly, both her eyes turned bright yellow as the aura around her surged violently, coating her entire body in fiercely burning yellow energy.
She slammed her paws heavily against the ground as she began returning to her original size. Her body rapidly expanded until she reached a towering height of 8 meters. Shyra immediately stepped back and enlarged herself to her original 9-meter size as well, prepared to tackle Nyxa if things went wrong. But it was only a precaution, because neither Leo nor Shyra sensed any hostility from her.
AVOOOOOOOOOOO!
A resounding howl escaped Nyxa’s mouth, heavily amplified by aura. Several elves standing in the encirclement were so terror-stricken by the sound alone that they couldn’t even move an inch.
Many nearby Gnomes fainted outright.
Virat and the three girls, who hadn’t sensed the earlier advancement energy because they were far from the territory, suddenly heard the howl and rushed over. But they were immediately stopped by Sylrael, Naelith, and Elirin.
“What is happening? Did some powerful beast appear in our territory?” Aina asked hurriedly.
“No. Lord and his beast are advancing. He doesn’t want to be disturbed, and I won’t allow anybody to go further,” Sylrael replied firmly, though Lily was naturally the exception if she were here.
“W-wow… We haven’t even properly seen his beasts yet, and they already feel so strong from just a howl,” Sylva muttered as she sneakily tried peeking through the dense foliage behind the elves. Through the leaves, she managed to glimpse two massive heads. The sight alone was so monstrous that her legs nearly gave out; she couldn’t even imagine fighting such creatures in any lifetime.
Sylrael immediately waved her hand, raising a thick vine barrier around the area while glaring coldly at Sylva.
“I said Lord doesn’t want to be disturbed. Go back,” she said icily.
Virat was the first to turn around after hearing Sylrael and quietly walked away, not even slightly curious like Sylva lest he risk expulsion.
The three girls tried to remain behind, but seeing Sylrael’s mood worsening by the second, they were ultimately forced to leave as well. The last thing they wanted was to attract Sylrael’s attention, who could very well become responsible for their banishment from the territory if a few bad words were spoken about them.
But Sylva’s mind remained stuck on the sight of those two monstrosities.
“What in the world was that? He has such fearsome beasts! Why does he hide them?” she then told her findings to Mira and Aina, making even their eyes widen.
But before they could walk any farther away, the ground beneath them suddenly began to glow faintly yellow.
And it wasn’t just the ground beneath them; it was an enormous circle nearly 600 to 700 meters wide, with Nyxa standing at its centre.
