Absolute Beast Dominion - Chapter 459: Sleeping Through A Whole Aeon

Chapter 459: Sleeping Through A Whole Aeon
Far, far, incomprehensibly far away, in an unknown location overflowing with spiritual energy, prana particles, mana, and other mystical energies, a being with a form that refused to stay consistent awakened its consciousness after a long slumber.
The awakening of its consciousness alone caused many stars to converge into a single cluster, as if pulled by an unknown attraction, forming a mysterious connection.
“How long has it been?” the being thought. The words alone were enough to shake the entire surroundings and existence itself.
“Meh, I actually woke up so quickly? Only 20 Millennium years have passed…” But then it recalled that it hadn’t awakened voluntarily. Something had stirred its being after a long time, forcing it to open its eyes far earlier than intended.
It swiped its formless hand in front of itself to see Nyxa licking Leo frantically in a translucent screen formed out of pure mana, created in response to the being’s will to observe Leo’s location.
“Hm?” The being frowned.
“Why do I feel that overgrown lizard’s presence on this mortal?”
The moment those words left its mouth, the surroundings distorted and trembled violently, as if the very statement itself was blasphemous. Some stars even burst into supernovas outright, causing the being to lose a few memory centres.
“Tsk, so petty. And wait… You actually became this strong? Your lazy bum surely worked hard during all this time.” The being wasn’t even bothered by losing memories that might have once been precious.
The being stayed silent for a while, as if going through the latest news of the cosmos. During the process, many new stars were born within the massive cluster.
“Damn… looks like I gotta use honorifics now,” the being muttered under its breath, shocked that the ’overgrown lizard’ had climbed to such a high position while it itself was on the verge of becoming a declining god in comparison.
“Tsk tsk, acting all over the place just because you advanced an Aeon earlier than me.”
“Don’t forget that it’s because of my laziness that you were able to do so. I slept all the time just so you could finish the race before me. I will catch up soon!”
It ignored the trembling space and looked back at the screen.
“Interesting… A talent in a mortal realm capable enough to birth a direct descendant of mine?” It looked at Nyxa.
“That little girl might as well be the first little princess born after so many Millennia in any mortal plane. Heh, I wonder what reaction those low-life mutts who proclaimed themselves as my descendants will have when they see the real deal.”
“But anyways…” The being’s attention shifted back to Leo.
“Two souls in one body…?” Its eyes, which seemed to contain folded black holes, narrowed. Then it clicked its tongue as the screen before it began to flicker and glitch violently.
“Sanguor, I won’t eat him up. That mortal is taking care of my legitimate descendant, who might as well be the last, and I have even promised him some treasures from my sacred, precious vault. Let me see the deal here.”
Suddenly, the trembling space quietened, eerily so. But it was obvious something wasn’t right.
The being observing Leo and Nyxa also became solemn. One could even hear the bones in its jaw snapping as it clenched down in anger—even when its form itself was incomprehensible.
“Great… Lord…. Sanguor… Now, allow me.”
But there was no response. The being gritted its teeth.
“The Destruction Incarnate, Absolute Great Lord Sanguor, please… allow me.”
As if the surrounding space was finally satisfied, information about Leo unfurled before its eyes.
The being immediately forgot the humiliation and looked through Leo’s information with interest.
“So… not two souls, but fragments of a single soul from different planets and timelines. Hmm, interesting. Very interesting. His very existence defies the laws of this mortal plane. But… what the fuck?”
There was a slight pause after that, as if the being was thinking about where the phrase ’What the fuck’ came from, then simply ended up blaming the newly formed stars.
Some famous influential phrase… maybe. It thought, not wanting to dig the meaning further.
Then the being looked toward the empty space as if Sanguor could hear it directly.
“Mind informing me why in the heavens so many dying mortal planes are fusing together? Feels like I slept through a very interesting event.”
—
>Individual ’Nyxa’s’ soul and core have responded to her advancement, and one of her lineage skills is being unlocked by her ancestor Godbeast’s authorisation.
[Special note from Ancestor to the caretaker of its descendant.]
’Take good care of my descendant. As a reward, I will personally open my treasure vault for you when the time comes.’
Another Godbeast… Leo thought.
To this day, he hadn’t forgotten about Godbeast Sanguor, who gifted him the system, literally saved his life, and changed his doomed fate.
His subconscious mind thanked the Godbeast almost every day, almost like worship. Because that was what a lifesaver god deserved.
Shifting his focus back to the message, a total of two Godbeasts had now noticed his presence, with the second even promising him treasures from its personal treasure vault in exchange for taking good care of Nyxa, who was apparently its descendant.
“Treasure vault… I wonder what sort of heaven-defying treasures it would contain.” Leo knew he could do nothing about god-like existences noticing him. He was far too weak right now to resist anything. So he could only focus on the positives.
Leo’s eyes drifted toward Nyxa, who was trying her best to maintain her summoned family for as long as possible, but eventually, both her stamina and mana gave out.
A grand total of 8 minutes and 42 seconds.
Which meant Nyxa’s mana reserves were around 85K to 90K units.
She wanted to stay with them so desperately that she exhausted not only her mana reserves but even all her stamina before collapsing. The Astral figures dissipated into slow wisps around her as she lay unconscious at the centre.
But Leo could tell Nyxa was still feeling very happy even while unconscious, because she knew she could summon them all again once her stamina and mana replenished.
Shyra had been watching everything from the sidelines. She was shocked to see Nyxa reduce her size to almost 2 meters. So she also tried her hardest, and the smallest she managed to reach was 2.8 meters. Only 0.2 meters smaller from before.
Before she could continue experimenting, Leo unsummoned them. If they wanted to practice more, they could do so inside his spiritual space. He even sent the Crocodrake’s meat back so Niri could consume as much as she wanted, though to advance further, she would need to absorb more mana, spiritual energy, and beast cores because she was half spirit.
Leo took out his phone and saw that Lily and the others’ training was still not complete.
“Looks like I am alone in this one,” Leo muttered and called Sylrael.
