Absolute Beast Dominion - Chapter 458: Ancester’s Call

Chapter 458: Ancester’s Call
Ding!
>Individual ’Nyxa’s’ soul and core have responded to her advancement, and one of her lineage skills is being unlocked by her ancestor Godbeast’s authorisation.
[Special note from Ancestor to the caretaker of its descendant.]
’Take good care of my descendant. As a reward, I will personally open my treasure vault for you when the time comes.’
Ding!
>Nyxa has unlocked a lineage skill!
[Astral Legion Manifestation] – Low 1%
– A rare lineage skill possessed exclusively by pack-type royal beasts, Astral Legion Manifestation allows the beast to summon Astral Warriors of its own species from the astral plane. These warriors are condensed from ancestral bloodline memories and soul energy, with the strongest warrior possessing strength exactly 1 major realm lower than the summoner.
The number of Astral Warriors depends on the beast’s bloodline purity and rank.
The Astral Warriors inherit the species’ combat instincts and can use weakened versions of innate racial abilities such as elemental attacks, regeneration, or physical enhancements. They feel no fear or pain and fight until destroyed.
Maintaining the legion consumes massive amounts of Mana along with stamina. Destroyed Astral Warriors dissipate into astral particles, though the higher the beast’s mastery of the skill, the more it can continuously replenish the same fallen summons during battle.
Mana Cost: 10,000 units/minute
>Note: Lineage skills cannot be copied.
It was also at this moment that an area nearly 600 to 700 meters around Nyxa began to faintly glow with a yellow aura.
The glow in Nyxa’s eyes intensified another notch, her presence rising to the point that the ground beneath her started cracking into spiderweb fractures that spiraled outward. The next moment—
AWOOOOOOOO!
Another resounding howl erupted, much louder than before. And this time, true terror struck.
The 2-star elves collapsed onto the ground with widened eyes. The 3-star realm elves staggered on their feet, nearly falling over themselves. Since the 3 girls and Virat were also close by and only in the 2-star realm, they too collapsed, their entire beings overwhelmed by mortal fear, eyes trembling wide open.
And then it happened.
Figures began forming within the circular yellow zone. They were astral and wispy, their feet taking shape first, then their torsos, and finally their heads.
Nearly 15 to 20 figures spread evenly across the yellow region. The moment their yellow astral forms fully materialized, every single one of them raised their heads and howled alongside Nyxa, who was still howling into the sky.
Awooooo… awooooo… awooooo…!
Their calls mixed together and echoed throughout the forest like an ancient pack cry. The few Gnomes that were still conscious immediately started running frantically and hiding inside the bunker. Some even tried dragging their kins in, afraid they might get eaten.
During that time, Torbin—the first gnome Leo had spoken with—came face-to-face with a fearsome astral wolf. A jagged scar sliced diagonally across its face, running from the right ear to the lower left jaw, giving it the appearance of a battle-hardened veteran.
It was much larger than the other astral figures, nearly 7 meters tall, only a meter shorter than Nyxa herself. Yet excluding the aura of the Pseudo 3-star realm.
Torbin gulped hard as he stepped back. His pupils constricted to pinpoints, and his knees wobbled like jelly from sheer fear.
The elves were no better. Suddenly surrounded by so many astral wolves howling as if sounding a death horn, their bodies stiffened completely. Not to mention, Nyxa’s howl had already affected them severely beforehand. Even if the howl lacked a mental interference ability like the [Scream] skill of Howl, the sheer sound alone was enough to shake their minds.
But as the howling slowly ended, the wolves quieted down and began walking toward Nyxa’s position.
As all the astral wolves came into full view, they immediately rushed toward Nyxa’s massive frame and circled around her, trying to sniff her. Some of the smaller ones even snugly hugged her legs, as if they possessed their own consciousness and could recognize her.
At first, Leo watched from the sidelines in confusion. But then his eyes landed on the wolf with the diagonal scar across its face, followed by another wolf bearing the same crescent eclipsed sun mark on its forehead. Both stood calmly in front of Nyxa, silently watching the scene unfold.
Leo recognized them instantly.
Nyxa’s parents!
Nyxa herself looked utterly shocked, the emotion plainly visible on her face as she frantically looked around at the astral figures. Her eyes only widened further as she recognized each of them one by one. The bright golden-yellow glow in her eyes faded, returning to her normal yellow pupils, which now trembled violently as emotions overflowed from within her.
And when her eyes finally landed on the 2 larger figures before her, she immediately dashed toward them.
“Awo!” she cried as she snuggled tightly against them. Even though they were astral beings, their forms were solid enough to feel physical warmth.
Leo could see the faint confusion in the astral wolves’ expressions, yet they still tried to get closer to Nyxa, as though some inherent pull connected them together.
Except for Nyxa, nobody could truly identify who the beings surrounding them were. But that instinctive pull alone was enough to answer Nyxa’s desperate need for family.
“So they don’t have their memories…” Leo muttered in a low voice.
Aside from a faint trace of familiarity, they couldn’t remember anything else.
Even though Nyxa was the largest among them all, she used her [Body Size Adjustment] trait to shrink herself to an extreme degree—down to merely 2 meters tall, something she could never accomplish before—just so she could once again feel like a child in front of of the two figures.
And as the parents’ protective instincts naturally awakened, they gently consoled Nyxa, whose eyes had become moist after seeing her family once more. Even if they were incomplete, they were still them.
Maybe fusing all the wolves’ cores into her back then had caused this outcome… Leo thought with narrowed eyes.
At that time, Leo had used all the dead wolves’ beast cores—wolves that had once been her family—to elevate Nyxa’s bloodline into a Royal Bloodline. Because of that, traces of their soul imprints had engraved themselves into her soul.
And now, during the first use of her lineage skill, it had instinctively called forth those closest to her first—her family.
Maybe after mastering the skill further, she would even be able to call upon older ancestors.
As if sensing Leo’s thoughts, Nyxa sharply turned toward him before suddenly pouncing onto him, licking him frantically until his entire face was drenched in saliva.

Leo allowed Nyxa to revel in her joy as his mind drifted toward the special note that had appeared alongside the skill acquisition.
