Apocalypse: the Most Ruthless Person - Chapter 160 118: Genius Player Zhao Dezhu

The team of Zhang Su restored the RV garage and gathered everyone in the parking lot.
He noticed Zhang Ya standing alone, seemingly not getting along well with others, which was understandable. Suddenly joining a group, even in the past, would make it difficult to integrate quickly.
“As planned, after leaving here, we’ll head north out of the city to find a scenic resort or farmhouse for a rest. That’s the goal, but the process might be quite challenging!”
“Everyone must not relax vigilance just because we are well-stocked. The more resources we have, the more we have to guard against hidden enemies coveting them. Let’s not forget what happened this morning. If the vehicle is hijacked, we lose all our supplies!”
“After leaving the zombie-infested city, humans with ulterior motives become the greatest enemies!”
As he spoke, Zhang Su glanced at Zhang Ya, noticing her lowered eyes, uncertain of what she was thinking.
“Bozai, don’t you really want that Harley at the shop entrance? Here’s your chance, bring it over within five minutes, and I’ll clear the RV garage to store motorcycles, how about it?”
How about it?
Lu Yubo said nothing and sprinted away, startling the Corgi sitting nearby.
“Brother, I’m coming to help, haha!”
Zhao Dezhu eagerly followed, worried that Lu Yubo couldn’t handle it alone, since he also liked that motorcycle.
Zhang Su had long intended to unload the Porsche sports car from the VS RV. Such a performance car is practically useless in the current environment. Even without the Harley, it’s still better to load supplies than a car!
However…
Just as Zhang Su prepared to call everyone for a final vehicle check, Lu Yubo and Zhao Dezhu returned, visibly panicked.
“Brother Su, there’s trouble, let’s go quickly, a zombie horde is coming from over there!”
Lu Yubo rushed into the crowd, pointing to the south road: “There, a huge horde of zombies is coming, countless in number, far more than those we encountered at Yi Rewen this morning!”
Hearing news of a zombie horde always made Zhang Su’s heart tighten. He instinctively looked at Zhang Ya, who also seemed shocked, realizing this situation was beyond her imagination.
“Xinyu, Xiaoshan, Xiaoxue, Wu Lue, go open the door. Who can drive the Fukner Mobil! Just don’t flip it.”
Despite the urgency, Zhang Su calmly directed everyone; in such times, cold-blooded rationality was essential.
The Fukner Mobil RV is a bit smaller than the Mercedes RV but still over ten meters long, making its driving as challenging as a medium-sized coach, which most drivers find difficult to handle.
Tan Huajun quickly raised his hand: “I passed the B2 license test, can I?”
“You’re up, hurry! Everyone get in the cars, at least three people per vehicle. Zhang Ya, come with me!”
With the order given, everyone ran into action, seeming chaotic but in fact orderly, highlighting the difference between having a leader and not.
Within less than three minutes, four cars drove out of Yihe Car Shop’s parking area, while the zombies from the south had already reached within a hundred meters.
Driving the Mercedes RV, Zhang Su eyed the zombie horde; though not as massive as prior ten-thousand-strong hordes, there were likely one or two thousand, mostly in student’s clothing!
From past experience, physical condition before death somewhat influences strength after zombification; while differences aren’t pronounced in adults, they are clear between young, strong zombies and old, frail ones.
“What school just went under?”
Zhang Su murmured while steering.
Zhong Xiaoshan crowded in the passenger seat said: “Qin City Third Middle School is nearby, and it’s boarding. Maybe… Brother Su, hurry, the zombies spotted us!”
Before Zhong Xiaoshan’s words fell, the zombies nearby began accelerating toward the car shop, seemingly faster due to the angle, as if student zombies were quicker than regular ones.
“Fast fast fast!”
Zhang Su chanted, disregarding the central barrier, careening northward up the road!
“Damn, who’s driving the Prado?”
He cursed in the rearview mirror!
Behind him, the Mercedes G-Class turned smoothly and followed, but the Prado’s throttle sent it into the shrubbery, caught by the crossing direction that lifted up two wheels, leaving it stuck.
“It’s Zhao Dezhu…”
Ying Qing said from the RV lounge.
“Shit, a real genius!”
Zhang Su was furious, but given the circumstances, he couldn’t afford to turn back for a rescue. Had the communication been clear, Mercedes G-Class might’ve assisted, yet judging by its speed, rescuing wasn’t intended, or it hadn’t noticed the Prado’s plight.
“To save or not to save…”
Gripping the wheel, Zhang Su battled mentally, but before deciding, he burst into laughter.
“Hahaha! Old Tan, you’re amazing! Old Tan is amazing.”
In the mirror, the Fukner Mobil RV driven by Tan Huajun turned, using its angle to nudge the Prado from the shrubbery onto the sidewalk. The Prado, although wobbly, finally resumed a normal driving path.
Meanwhile, zombies chasing from behind had reached the RV’s tail!
From the rearview mirror, Zhang Su saw several zombies recklessly lunging at the Fukner Mobil’s rear, only to tumble to the ground. Fortunately, the RV’s blunt end provided no grip.
“Zhao Dezhu owes Old Tan a life!”
“Not just Zhao Dezhu, Brother Su; Pei Lan and Lu Yubo seem to be on that car too…”
Zheng Xinyu pondered and said.
“Regardless, everyone in that car owes Old Tan a life. Damn, if he weren’t the last one driving, everyone would’ve been history! Damn…”
The Mercedes RV shook violently, Zhang Su hastened: “Stop speaking; the road conditions are complicated!”
Exiting Yihe Car Shop’s street, buildings multiplied, and so did accident vehicles, requiring utmost focus to navigate.
The zombie horde dwindled as Fukner Mobil moved farther away, yet some zombies stumbled after it, while four figures flipped out from the construction site’s other side and ran toward Yihe Car Shop.
“This area indeed has no issue; during the disaster’s morning outbreak, only some office workers were around; the mall wasn’t open.”
Zhang Su surveyed the high-rises lining the street, carefully driving through a complicated section, leaving the student zombie horde behind to enter a quieter street.
“We began on Hell’s difficulty…”
Zheng Xinyu pressed her face against the passenger window, peering out; buildings appeared intact, barely any shattered glass compared to the previous Sheng Qin Home, which had streets and residential areas ravaged by blasts.
“Xiaoshan, there’s the Third Hospital. Wanna meet your old colleagues?”
Zhang Su gestured east to an imposing building, grinning widely.
The hospital wasn’t on the same street; everyone glanced sideways, the sheer number of zombies scattered on its path leaving them chilled, at least three to five hundred!
