However, the Murim Alliance must bear the risk. First, they would announce to the realm that Ximen, Jaegal, Situ, and the Murong Family lost their pillars. There was a chance the demonic faction would stir up trouble again, trying to take the four families down.

He was not surprised if the four empires worked together with the Heaven Founder so they could be freed from the Murim Alliance’s shackles.

He no longer had the same confidence before the meeting after what happened to the four great families. Unless the Murim Alliance worked together, he was not confident of winning against the Thousand Vows Pavilion.

Zhong Tian Yun didn’t have a choice but to be straightforward with Tang Shaoyang, directly asking what they wanted to do after the Heaven Founder resolved. He didn’t expect a direct answer, but he might get something from probing Tang Shaoyang.

Tang Shaoyang truly could not understand Zhong Tian Yun. Zhong Tian Yun was so confident early, confronting him boldly, not hesitating to use his people to test him out. Now he was being overly cautious.
It was a one-time cooperation that would help them to fight the Heaven Founder. If not for Yan Xueyi, he would have attacked Alliance Leader Zhong back then when they killed the four great families. As he planned, he just wanted to wound Alliance Leader Zhong to lure out Alderman Fiodor.
