- Chapter 262 - 170: Let’s Save the World Together (Part 3)

At this moment, Yang Yue looked up at the two Violent Cloud Sparrows and said with a smile, “Although we’ve had some misunderstandings, we’ll rely on you to lead the way next.”
Saying this, she reached out to stroke the Cloud Fox in her arms, “Do you know where there are little creatures as cute as it?”
“Chirp chirp.”
Under Chen Yuan’s training, the Violent Cloud Sparrow’s sense of service was very much in place. It nodded slightly and flew ahead to lead the way.
The two of them, along with a group of Pet Beasts, headed north.
Violent Cloud Sparrows flew in mid-air, skimming over treetops, their wing tips stirring up a whirlwind of fallen leaves, carrying the fresh scent of pine needles and fruit as they ventured into the autumn Qinling.
Reentering the mountains, both felt a sense of exhilaration and the air they breathed seemed much fresher.
Without pausing along the way, they traversed the golden forest seas and leapt across streams, gradually arriving in front of a bamboo grove.
Green bamboo stood tall, branches and leaves swaying, sunlight filtering through gaps casting dappled shadows.
At the bamboo grove entrance, there was a wooden sign—Inside there are pandas, gentle in temperament, can be touched.
“Qingqing.”
Yang Yue turned her head to look at Li Qing and blinked.
“Let’s go.” Li Qing understood Yang Yue’s intention and took the lead stepping into the bamboo grove.
In this quiet bamboo grove, they walked for quite a while, but didn’t see the “panda” mentioned on the sign, nor did they encounter any Pet Beasts.
“Chirp chirp chirp.”
It wasn’t until the Violent Cloud Sparrows flapped their wings and led them to an open space that they discovered something amiss—the area showed signs of a fierce battle, with bamboo snapped and fallen, leaves scattered chaotically.
Clearly, a fierce fight had occurred here.
But battles are common in the wild, and both of them were used to it; Yang Yue merely sighed, “Looks like we’re unlucky, let’s go.”
Continuing northward, they soon encountered a large Wooden Panda walking towards them.
Yang Yue exclaimed in surprise, “Wooden Panda!”
The reaction of the Wooden Panda was intense; it bared its sharp teeth at Yang Yue, growling deeply from its throat, scaring her to step back half a pace: “This doesn’t match the description on the sign…”
Gentle temperament?
Can be touched?
It’s clearly irritable!
With an expressionless face, Li Qing stepped forward to protect Yang Yue behind her. Two small snakes simultaneously glared at the Wooden Panda, hissing.
But the Wooden Panda paid them no mind, bracing its arms on the ground, lowering its head as it trudged to the open space and sat down, staring dazedly at the fallen bamboo.
A breeze blew, rustling the bamboo leaves.
Though they couldn’t see its expression, from its actions and posture they inferred—this Wooden Panda was very sad.
Yang Yue pondered and murmured softly, “What happened?”
Li Qing shook her head.
Yang Yue glanced around, her gaze sweeping over Cloud Fox, Scaly Green Snake, and Ripple Shadow Snake, finally landing on the Leader of the Violent Cloud Sparrow: “How about you go and ask what happened?”
The Leader of the Violent Cloud Sparrow shook its head repeatedly.
They didn’t know this Wooden Panda, but it did.
As an excellent group leader, the Leader of the Violent Cloud Sparrow was very aware of which Pet Beasts could be easily bullied and which should not be provoked.
This Wooden Panda was among those not to be provoked.
Seeing the Violent Cloud Sparrow leader shaking its head, Yang Yue placed her hands on her hips and looked up: “Could it be that you’re afraid of it?”
“Chirp chirp chirp!”
This time, the Leader of the Violent Cloud Sparrow shook its head even faster and more violently.
“Then go and ask.” Yang Yue said.
The Violent Cloud Sparrow leader gathered its courage and slowly approached the Wooden Panda: “Chirp?”
The Wooden Panda abruptly raised its head, its face mixing anger and sorrow, scaring the Violent Cloud Sparrow leader back with flapping wings.
Yang Yue chuckled, “Looks like the irritable Violent Cloud Sparrow can also be scared sometimes.”
But what exactly happened to this Wooden Panda?
Meanwhile,
Zhao San returned to Xuanhe Village with his family.
Zhao San frowned, “I just asked, Advisor Chen went into the mountains, temporarily unreachable.”
“What about it?” his wife asked.
Zhao San sighed, “Let’s inform the Beastmaster Office; it’s the only thing we ordinary people can do.”
After that, Zhao San got up and headed to the Beastmaster Office, while his wife busied herself preparing the house for the in-laws, leaving Small Zhao idle.
With his dark eyes darting around, Small Zhao decided to seek help from his canine friends.
Bursting out the door, Small Zhao headed straight for the village entrance.
Moments later,
Small Zhao saw the Puppy Team gathered at the village entrance, as well as the Gale Hunting Dog affectionately called “Cola” by the adults.
He squatted directly in front of Cola, his small tender face taking on a serious expression, “Cola, let’s save the world together!”
“Woof?”
Cola tilted its head and then, mimicking its owner, reached out a paw to touch Small Zhao’s forehead.
No fever.
“I’m serious.”
Small Zhao pushed aside the dog’s paw, maintaining his earnest demeanor, recounting the entire story he heard to Cola, “That’s the bad guy, let’s catch them together!”
He clenched his fist, as if holding the courage of a child in his palm, his eyes shining brightly: “We’re going to save the world together.”
“Woof…”
Cola stared at Small Zhao for a while, then signaled him to sit on its back, taking him with the wind, back to the farm.
Cola wasn’t sure if Small Zhao’s story was true, but its owner had gone into the mountains to map, so it had to let the smartest Electric Flying Cat devise a plan.
“Dian Dian…”
After listening to Small Zhao’s account, the Electric Flying Cat’s eyes sparkled with a glimmer, turning to look at Cola.
It remembered once seeing a Wooden Panda cub with the farmer.
It was in a vast bamboo grove.
Cola was there too at the time!
“Woof woof!”
Cola’s eyes twinkled as it suddenly recalled this event.
Back then, Mr. Xiong was even fighting with the Wooden Panda!
“Woof woof woof!”
The thought flashed by, and feeling bored after wandering idly around the village, Cola decided to head out regardless if the story was true or not—just find an excuse to go!
It glanced at the Electric Flying Cat, then at the Run Run Duck, barking, “Woof woof woof!”
The adventure team sets out!
