- Chapter 1910: The Eight-Headed Serpent VS The King Of Dinosaurs

—–
“I didn’t plan anything. I simply go with the flow… Hahahah! Master asked me to kill all of you as quickly as possible, but where’s the fun in that?!”
In that instant, the two clashed.
Frank knew he could not stay here much longer. He had to find a way out or defeat Jurassic Rex somehow.
Meanwhile, Jurassic Rex held the advantage and could do whatever he pleased. He planned to stall for time and wait until the meteor fell, so he could watch Frank’s face as he died, extinguished like his brethren.
CLAASH!
BOOOM!
Frank’s spear thrust forward in a beam of celestial light, piercing scales and drawing first blood. Green ichor sprayed like volcanic rain, burning through Frank’s cosmic armor and searing his skin. But Jurassic Rex countered with a devastating tail whip that could level cities. The strike sent Frank tumbling through ancient trees and mountains before he splashed violently into the ocean.
SPLAAASH!
“Ungh?! Gaaaahha?!”
Frank began to drown as gigantic aquatic dinosaurs emerged from the depths.
Mosasaurs and plesiosaurs roared at him. Their long necks wrapped around his entire body and dragged him deeper. Their sharp fangs pierced his skin and tore into his flesh as they seized his legs and arms, trying to rip them off.
They were incredibly strong, imbued with the same power as Jurassic Rex himself.
In a way, every dinosaur here was not merely an illusion or a summon. They were secondary bodies, extensions of his own self.
“Nnnggh…! COSMIC…! NOVA!!!”
However, Frank still had one trump card. His Cosmic Heart blazed with fury. Azure starlight surged from his chest as he shone momentarily like a supernova about to explode.
BOOOMMM!!!
The ocean boiled and erupted. Half of it evaporated completely. The aquatic dinosaurs disintegrated as Frank broke free, desperately trying to recover. He was covered in countless bloody wounds.
“D-Damn it…! Ungh…!”
“Not bad, mammal. You’ve proven to be a hardy fighter. But how long can you withstand the might of the Jurassic?!”
Frank’s eyes widened as he looked below. The ocean boiled with prehistoric fury. Plesiosaurs breached the surface like living missiles while ichthyosaurs darted through the water in silver blurs. Above, pteranodons with twenty-foot wingspans folded their leathery membranes and dove, beaks aimed like spears.
“Ahh!”
BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM!
Fangs and claws were not their only weapons. Jurassic Rex infused them with spirit energy and turned them into living kamikaze missiles.
Frank could not defend in time. He was bombarded by countless explosions.
“Nnnggh…! Fight me!!!”
“GLADLY!”
Frank burst from the smoke, his fists colliding with Jurassic Rex’s. Claws dug into skin, and his spear pierced deep into the dinosaur’s body. Blood sprayed everywhere as the two fought with savage intensity. The entire Domain around them trembled as if it were about to collapse.
And it was collapsing. The meteor above drew closer and closer.
Yet the battle felt…
Rather pointless.
The more he fought, the more exhausted he became. He had faced many powerful foes before, and thanks to his unique abilities, he had grown stronger over time, surpassing many.
But after confronting Lord Chaos and realizing how weak he truly was, Frank understood that even his incredible talents meant nothing before someone genuinely powerful.
Jurassic Rex, a Heroic Spirit, was exactly such a being.
He started feeling dizzy as he exchanged blows. His body bled faster than it could recover. His movements became almost purely instinctive.
Jurassic Rex showed no mercy. His powerful fists pummeled Frank downward and sent him crashing into the largest mountain in the area, shattering it in half.
BOOOM!
There, Frank lay half-dead, vomiting blood. His body was completely paralyzed, most of his bones broken. Giant boulders rained down around him as the Heroic Spirit hovered silently above.
“What’s wrong? It seems you won’t even survive long enough to witness your own extinction!” the dinosaur laughed. “Hmm, that would be such a waste. So how about I engulf as much of your city as I can and kill as many humans as possible? Would that be good enough? I wonder if my master would be pleased…”
“W-What?!” Frank woke up in shock, gasping for air after coughing up more blood. “Y-You can’t…! I…! I am your opponent!”
“My apologies, mammal, but you are simply not worthy anymore,” Jurassic Rex shrugged, spreading his dinosaur wings and flying away.
“Don’t… leave… you damn bastard…!”
Frank clutched his heart tightly.
“I am not weak…!”
Bloody tears fell from his eyes and streamed down his face.
“I…! I…!”
BA-DUM!
BA-DUM!
BA-DUM!
In his greatest moment of despair, something else began to awaken within Frank’s heart.
It was something he had seen once before and had suppressed. Now, in his weakest moment, it was finally set free.
Frank saw darkness engulf him completely. Purple clouds resembling snakes coiled around his body, and the sharp gaze of crimson eyes stared at him menacingly.
His hands trembled. His body grew cold. Sweat covered him entirely.
His breathing became even more agitated.
Amidst the darkness, Frank saw once again what had terrified him.
A being he could not understand had emerged inside his heart once before. He had thought it might have been an illusion.
But it was not.
Jurassic Rex felt it too. The dinosaur glared back at Frank.
The “presence” blooming from the boy’s heart…
Was simply not human.
“What’s wrong, Master?”
“Have you finally come to your senses?”
“Master… just give us an order.”
“And we shall dispose of that fake spirit with the power we’ve been bestowed as your spirits.”
“W-Who…! Who are you?!” Frank vomited blood. “Who the hell…?! Who the hell are you anyway?!”
“Does it really matter now?”
“If you take too long, not only Harumi and her friends will be in even greater danger…”
“But all of Tokyo may fall…”
“So please, Master… give us an order…”
“And we shall obey it.”
“…!”
Frank clutched his heart as he clenched his teeth. His hand pulsed with power. A Spirit Command Spell manifested in his palm.
Only then did he realize that this entire time, he had been a Master as well.
Why and how? He had no idea.
But at some point, he had become the Master of a Heroic Spirit.
This thing…
Even Jurassic Rex recognized it as a rival.
“Then please… kill that bastard… Tear him to shreds and stop him… from killing… more…”
Frank slowly closed his eyes and passed out, but his spirit remained, surging with immense power after the command was given, a command filled with incredible strength.
“Understood, Master.”
And before the King of Dinosaurs, another reptilian being of immense power surged forth: a white serpent with eight heads, glowing red eyes, and red tattoos spread across its gigantic frame.
Jurassic Rex smiled with dark fascination at what he was witnessing.
“Hahah…! Hahahaha! And who may you be, new challenger?!”
“They call me by many names, but to you, a lesser being, I shall reveal none,” the serpent spoke. “For as an ignorant creature who is not even aware of my great myth, you only deserve an agonizing death, trampled beneath me.”
And so the battle between two scaled Heroic Spirits began.
