Child of Destiny - Chapter 2178 - 2178: Arch Heretic of the Demonic Church of Terror

……
“Ah~! What a pity. I intend to invite you to join our cause. But given your tone, I guess you are not planning to do anything like that,” said Leviathan while looking at Felix, who was staring back at him with a deep and meaningful gaze.
Felix smirked when he saw that expression before saying. “Ah~! I guess this is going to be a bit troublesome since we have been warned not to get involved with you people.”
“Unfortunately, you are the ones who have stepped into our doorstep by yourselves. So, I guess this is some sort of self-defense?” he added while playing with his split-bladed sword, twirling and spinning it around.
Squinting his eyes, Leviathan turned to Poseidon for a moment before gazing back at Felix, then to Felicia, who was still watching the battle from a distance despite her burning fighting spirit that was itching for battle.
Pursing his lips a little, Leviathan knew that the situation was no longer in his control, especially when Felix had started showing his true capabilities that far surpassed the strength that their intelligence network had reported.
Levithan had also expected that Felix was hiding his true strength, estimating that it was at a pretty decent level, but who would have thought that he was still underestimating the latter.
From his initial observation, it was clear that this guy far surpassed a regular god-level player, almost rivaling those who were standing at the top of the ranking lists.
Then there was also Felicia, who possessed a similar level of strength as a Maverick God.
Sensing that the current situation was getting out of hand, Leviathan decided to use the trump cards that he had prepared after manipulating those few people from the other branches of the Demonic Churches, who had gotten themselves involved in this operation.
He then turned his head to a certain part of the forest, which remained untouched up until now, and said. “Hey! You can stop hiding now.”
“I am not someone who likes to share my meal with other people, but I must admit that I have bitten a bit more than I can chew,” he added with a clear sign of unwillingness in his tone.
The eyes of the other three could not help but contract a little when he heard his words, especially after turning in the direction where he was looking.
The battle had been going on for quite a while now, but they had never sensed anyone else present within the entire area.
They had never lowered their guard since the very beginning, since they were aware of unexpected ambushes that could be launched against them at any given time. It was a common tactic that most of the guilds used against their enemies.
These instances could also be considered as assassination methods that could be used in such situations.
The trio kept their guard up at all times, knowing such methods could be used against them. They could not do anything against those too far from them and surpassed the range of their detection range, but guarding their ideal range should be a problem.
The spot that Leviathan was looking at might be an untouched part of the battle, which was also not being flooded by the domain that Poseidon had summoned through his weapons.
However, that spot should still be within the sensing range of the three, especially Poseidon, who had his senses enhanced by his two domains by a great margin.
Yet he could not sense this newcomer despite being within his sensing range.
A single look at this person was more than enough to tell everyone how dangerous they were.
“Haha! To think that a day will come when an arrogant ‘Chosen Vessel’ from Churches of the Seven Sins comes to ask me a favor. This sure is a good day,” said the newcomer while walking out of the darkness and stepping onto the surface of the water filling the forest.
Each of his steps seemed to carry deep profoundness, which made him easily walk through the surface of the ranging waves underneath his feet.
Aside from this, there was also an intense and terrifying aura that was constantly leaking out from this person, which could give Poseidon immense threat even at his current state.
Even Felix and Felicia could sense how dangerous this person was, which made them extremely wary of him.
“Less talk and more work, Dragulia,” said Leviathan while glaring at the other party.
Dragulia, the mysterious person, raised his closed hand and placed it before his mouth while chuckling. “What’s the rush? My disciples have already made their move.”
“They have found the said portal hidden within that side, but it is nothing but a regular dungeon and nothing else,” he added while casting his gaze toward Felix and Felicia. “It seems like our friends over here have played a prank on us.”
His actions made his features to somewhat revealed his features.
Seeing the black scales covering his hands and those sharp claws that he had, Felix instinctively knew that the other party was a Dragonkin or something with similar lineage.
Adding the eerie and terrifying aura that this person possessed, Felix was convinced that he was from the Dragon Lineage at the very least.
“They are so slow,” complained Leviathan despite receiving the positive response.
Dragulia did not mind and continued to chuckle. “There is no helping it. Our Church of Terror has a smaller number of believers since we only have a single church. And we are also not united, so gathering more people is a bit troublesome.”
“Moreover, we also do not have a great leader like yours, who managed to unify all the Demonic Churches of the Seven Sins while also having a considerable influence on the Nine Demonic Churches of Chaos,” he added, somewhat showing admiration in his face.
It could be said that this guy was clearly acknowledging the abilities of the leader of the Pandemonium Descendants.
Leviathan ignored those words and just said. “I’ll let you hand those two while I deal with Poseidon. Make sure not to accidentally kill them in the process.”
“I appreciate your ‘kindness’ of leaving these two in my care. But I must admit that even I can not fully suppress them,” replied Dragulia while squinting his eyes and staring at the twin.
“Killing them is not a problem, but trying to keep them alive and capturing them may be quite challenging.”
“You should know me well. I do not like keeping my opponents alive,” he added while having a tone filled with arrogance and confidence.
Leviathan wore a solemn expression before saying. “Then let’s switch roles.”
“Oh! Are you not planning to catch Poseidon anymore? I heard that he possessed a legacy that you highly covet,” said Dragulia with a somewhat ‘innocent’ tone.
Viens seemed to have appeared on Leviathan’s temples when he heard those words. After all, those words sounded like a mockery to him.
Aside from that, the words that Dragulia had said clearly leaked his true intentions for targeting Poseidon.
There was no loyalty between the believers of the Demonic Churches, especially when they came from different factions.
The Demonic Church of Terror was quite outcast from the other churches due to their tendency to always clash against anyone that piqued their interest, going as far as provoking any expert that they came across.
They also liked to destroy anything that caught their eyes and slaughter everyone that blocked their path, spreading terror wherever they went.
Understanding these lunatics, Leviathan did not respond and just controlled his Ice Golems and Ice Puppets to directly attack Felix and Felicia, who were already prepared to face him.
…
In the meantime, Poseidon, who was supposed to be fighting Leviathan, could not ignore being thrown aside like that.
The way Leviathan had treated him felt like a training dummy that could be disregarded at any time, which humiliated him.
“Where do you think you’re going!? We still have unfinished business!” he shouted in rage while riding a huge tide to chase after Leviathan.
However, before he could even advance that far, Dragulia had suddenly appeared before him. “I’ll play with you this time.”
“Get out of the way!” Poseidon roared in rage, raising his [Divine Trident] to summon an array of water spears behind him and send them flying toward this newcomer.
Seeing the seemingly endless hail of spears, Dragulia grinned widely before saying. “I am hurt that I am being underestimated by a mere Vice Faction Leader.”
“Should I just kill him?” he mumbled, seemingly deliberating his next course of action.
He had even ignored the hail of water spears coming his way completely, clearly treating them as something that could never harm him.
Poseidon became incredibly enraged when he saw this, taking it as an insult.
He had already lost his people in this people, dying in the hands of a Demonic Player, which would lead to serious consequences later, even after being revived or respawning in the city. They would be put in a serious curse, which would be further strengthened by the demonic powers that they possessed after transforming into Demonic Shark People.
His rage was further fueled by all these factors, which led to his current state.
BOOM!
With a wave of his [Divine Trident], the hail of water spears moved. They spun along with spiraling movements in the air before converging and turning into a massive beast made entirely of Water Elemental Mana.
Roar!
This Sea Creature made of Water Elemental Mana descended and opened its massive mouth, seemingly trying to devour everything on its path.
Seeing this, Dragulia grinned in excitement and said. “That’s more like it!”
BOOM!
Immediately after, a dark and eerie mana was suddenly released from his body, forming a huge aura that warded off everything around him.
The violent waves under his feet halted before the water evaporated, creating a huge hole in the raging flood that Poseidon’s domain had created.
Floating in the air, Dragulia raised his head and looked at the descending water monster, revealing his pitch-black eyes with crimson pupils.
ROAR!
Immediately afterward, a deafening roar from an evil dragon reverberated throughout the area, along with an extremely terrifying presence that dominated the area.
BOOM!
The massive water monster descending from high above exploded before evaporating into water, which was swept by the dark demonic aura Dragulia had released.
“Sea God, huh? I hope that you will be able to entertain me,” he said along with a mocking smile, seemingly provoking Poseidon even further.
