Child of Destiny - Chapter 2181 - 2181: Demonic Duo on the Move

…
Given the current actions of the Demonic Players, Diablo could tell that they had most likely finished the initial stages required for the Great Sacrificial Ritual.
What was left right now was establishing the massive Grand Formation covering the entirety of the Oath City and the regions around it.
Then they could start the ritual itself, where they would most likely slaughter everyone who would be trapped within that formation.
He was not too sure about the overall process when it came to these operations. After all, he was the Head Commander of the Sweepers from the Pandemonium Descendants when he was working with them, which focused more on assassination and slaughtering their enemies.
He was less knowledgeable about the specifics of the rituals themselves, which made him quite troubled.
He knew how to deal with most of them, so disturbing the ritual itself should not be much of a problem. However, stopping them should not be much of a problem since he was familiar with most of their methods.
After giving out a few more additional instructions to Mister Jiang, Diablo swiftly entered stealth, sprinting straight to the battlefield in the distance.
Swoosh!
It was at this moment that Leviathan’s clone suddenly emerged behind Felicia, who was oblivious to its appearance.
It managed to get near her without her notice while also conjuring an icy sword with its hand.
It was about to plunge its sword on her back when a resounding gunshot suddenly rang from the distance.
Bang!
“There you are?” mumbled Leviathan, expecting something like this to happen.
He wanted to unsummon his Ice Clone with ‘Instant Recall’, but the streak of crimson light came a bit too fast despite him being ready for it.
Realizing that it was already too late for that, he used a protective skill instead, summoning an array of ice walls beside the ice clone and aligning them at the path of the incoming streak of light.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The crimson bullet was way too strong, piercing through all the ice walls without problem. However, it still delayed its advance, giving the ice clone a chance to continue.
Unfortunately, this series of events had finally alerted Felicia, who swiftly responded.
Whoosh!
She disappeared from her current spot, teleporting away from the Ice Clone.
Bang!
It was at this moment that the crimson bullet fired from a distance finally pierced through the final ice wall and flew straight at the head of the Ice Clone.
Bang!
Unfortunately, Leviathan responded quite instantaneously, controlling the Ice Clone through his spiritual glacial strings to deflect the crimson bullet with its icy sword.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
However, that was just the start since a barrage of gunshots rang from the distance, signifying that the opposing party was planning to bombard this Ice Clone with an unstoppable attack.
Swoosh!
Clang! Clang!
Bang!
Levithan immediately responded, controlling the Ice Clone and letting it summon another batch of ice figurines that swiftly turned into a bunch of ice puppets and a couple of ice golems.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Most of the ice puppets were destroyed by the crimson lights that flew at them, shattering their limbs and blasting their heads and bodies.
The crimson lights produced by the sanguine bullets pierced through their bodies easily, destroying all the ice puppets and glacial golems that were about to be formed.
They were immediately annihilated before they could even form their battle formation.
Left without a choice, Leviathan could only let his Ice Clone submerge itself into the water underneath its feet and controlled it to rush toward his side.
Whoosh!
This then gave the opposing party a target, his main body, bombarding him with powerful attacks along with these sanguine bullets.
Leviathan did not have to guess who was attacking him since he was quite familiar with these attacks. “Empyrean Talons! These guys are everywhere and always sabotaging our operations.”
Annoyed, Leviathan immediately waved his hand, summoning a group of demonic monsters on top of his already troublesome army of ice puppets and glacial golems.
Boom!
Roar! Roar! Roar!
Felix was quite confused at the sudden development, but he immediately made his move, taking advantage of the cover that the mysterious person was giving him to continue his assault against Leviathan.
Ting~! Ning~! Ning~!
Sprinted forward while constantly tapping his twin-bladed sword, producing a series of ringing sounds that reverberated in the air.
Under these ringing sounds, the demonic monsters stood still, seemingly confused.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Seemingly understanding his intention, the mysterious expert started sniping these demonic monsters one after another, killing them with a shot or two.
Roar! Roar!
BOOM!
In the meantime, Felicia stood in the distance while watching the entire situation with a deep frown.
She first thought that she was the target of that earlier shot, but she later realized it was meant to save her from the deadly ambush from Leviathan’s clone, which was about to kill her.
Even though she was supposed to thank that person for saving her, she still felt a bit uncomfortable about the situation.
“Tsk! We’ll settle it later,” she mumbled before turning her attention toward Leviathan, who was facing the combined forces of her brother and the mysterious sniper from a distance.
A moment later, she started walking forward while twirling the scepter that she was holding.
Swoosh!
The seven-colored orb attached to the head of the staff released a blinding glow as she chanted a series of mantras, casting a spell.
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
Not long after, an array of multi-colored lights suddenly manifested behind her, which swiftly flew toward Leviathan and his combined army of ice puppets and demonic monsters.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Under the combined forces of these three people, Leviathan was forced on the back foot, leaving him no choice but to summon one more Ice Clone alongside the one that he had summoned earlier.
Whoosh!
Not long after, he started fighting the trio along with his two Ice Clones, facing them with his army of Ice Puppets and the Demonic Monsters that he had brought for this operation.
Roar! Roar! Roar!
BOOM!
…
In the meantime, Dragulia could not help but raise his brows after noticing the sudden development from the other side of the battlefield.
“Crimson Bullets? That must be the Sanguine King from the Empyrean Talons,” he mumbled after seeing the Ice Puppets and Demonic Monsters under Leviathan’s control being slaughtered by the streaks of crimson lights.
He tried to gauge the location of the opposing side by relying on the directions from which the bullets were coming. But he immediately realized that they seemed to be coming from multiple directions.
It was as if there was a group of snipers firing from a distance rather than being a single person.
“Those guys from the Empyrean Talons sure are troublesome to deal with,” he added before focusing on the opponent before him.
Poseidon was a powerful opponent as well, but his overall abilities seemed to be greatly restricted by Dragulia, who was only using a single ability during the entire battle.
That apparition of a huge demonic dragon was the only one that was constantly fighting him, rendering all his skills and spells useless before its absolute might.
Even with the help of the [Divine Trident] and the [Heart of the Ocean Depths], Poseidon was still unable to fight with his full might be due to the invisible restrictions that were preventing him from fully showcasing his powers.
“Is it his unique demonic ability?” thought Poseidon while glaring at Dragulia.
He did not care about the current situation on the other side of the battlefield since he wanted to solely focus on these monsters before him.
“If only I could unlock more of the seals of the [Divine Trident], then I would not be in this kind of situation,” he mumbled, understanding that he was no match for this opponent, who seemed to possess a portion of the power that a True Dragon had.
Seemingly understanding what Poseidon was thinking, Dragulia smirked and spoke. “I am the Arch Heretic of the Demonic Church of Terror, so I have been blessed by the Demonic Dragon of Terror himself.”
“Even Dragon God Seigfried may not have the same level of Draconic Power as me,” he added with a smug look on his face.
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
He was about to continue when hands made of shadow suddenly emerged below him.
Whoosh!
They carried extremely potent powers of the shadow and darkness, posing a great threat even for Dragulia.
Raising his brows, Dragulia swiftly summoned the Powers of the Demonic Dragon, forming a huge sphere that devoured all the shadow hands.
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
He then squinted his eyes, looking at the raging waters underneath him, seemingly trying to find the culprit.
Whoosh!
However, the assailant did not appear in the water and appeared behind him instead.
“Oh~! So, it is like that,” said Dragulia after sensing the presence behind him.
He remained calm and looked over his shoulder while saying. “But are you sure you want to attack me from there?”
Whoosh!
Immediately after, the sharp sound of something cutting through the air suddenly reverberated in the air.
Diablo, who was about to plunge his daggers into Dragulia’s back, suddenly stopped after seeing the black dragon’s tail whipping toward him.
Poof!
Diablo suddenly disappeared like smoke right before the dragon’s tail could even hit him.
He then appeared in the distance, standing steadily on the floating trunk of a fallen tree, and stared at the opposing party.
Seeing him, Dragulia could not help but wear an excited smile and spoke. “The traitor of the Pandemonium Descendants!? This is going to be a bit more interesting.”
