Chapter 2413 Consuming Supreme Ruler Dena’s Blood
‘What in Demon God’s name did she just say? That she’ll let him drink her blood?’ Purple stared at Supreme Ruler Dena in disbelief, her eyes as wide as saucers. ‘Why the hell would a being like her let someone taste her blood, let alone a mere livestock?!’
Even though Supreme Ruler Dena was no longer in power, it didn’t change the fact that she had once held the title and remained one of the most powerful demons in the world. For a Supreme Ruler to share their blood was akin to an emperor bestowing their own power on a subject. It was simply unthinkable, especially for a loyal subject like Purple.
“Then I’ll start my training now. The two of you can do whatever.” Yuan said to Lev and Purple before entering the void to resume his training.
<Your understanding of the Power of the Void has improved moderately>
<Your understanding of Void Manipulation has improved significantly>
Not long after beginning his training, Yuan realized that this training method felt all too familiar, as he was already used to training himself in similar ways, repeatedly pushing his body to the extreme through pain and destruction.
For example, when he trained in the Primal Expanse by poisoning himself in the Baneful Dragon’s Poisonous Swamp, when he roasted himself like a chicken in the Nine Levels of Hell, and when he constantly destroyed his body at the Sky Splitting Dragon’s Tribulation.
If one had to describe Yuan’s training methods in one word, it would definitely be masochistic.
In just a few short months, Yuan was able to extend his time within the void without leaving from half an hour to almost six hours.
After another year, that six hours became nearly a full day.
<Your Void Manipulation mastery has reached a new level>
Then another five years passed in the blink of an eye.
<Your Void Manipulation mastery has reached a new level>
By now, Yuan could remain inside the void for nearly three days without coming out.
In the blink of an eye, another ten years passed.
<Your Void Manipulation mastery has reached a new level>
Satisfied by the results, Yuan decided to stop his training for now.
“Are you done?” Supreme Ruler Dena asked him when she noticed that he didn’t immediately return to the void.
He nodded, “Yes, I’ll stop here for now.”
“Then here is my blood.”
Supreme Ruler Dena produced a fist-sized crimson orb of her own blood and offered it to him.
Yuan accepted the crimson orb and inspected it out of curiosity. However, it appeared to be ordinary blood.
He didn’t really think much of it and consumed it.
<You have consumed Supreme Ruler Dena’s blood>
“…”
“…
“…”
“Anything?” Supreme Ruler Dena asked him.
Yuan shook his head, “No.”
“In that case…”
Without delay, Supreme Ruler Dena retrieved something else, as if she’d had prepared it in advance.
“I made this in case my regular blood had no effect,” she said, handing him a crimson crystal shaped like a teardrop, about the size of a peanut.
“What is this?” Yuan asked.
Even at a glance, he could sense the immense energy sealed within it. In fact, it resembled the crystals embedded in every Lower Demon’s body—their cores.
“I just copied what you did with the True Emperor of the Seas, as well as what the Primal Sovereign of the Seas gave you,” she said calmly.
“I couldn’t replicate it exactly, so I improvised and adjusted it.”
“You what?!” Yuan exclaimed and stared at her with wide eyes, looking absolutely bewildered.
Supreme Ruler Dena had essentially claimed to have created her own Blood Essence, something only beasts were supposed to be capable of.
“In order for beasts to form their Blood Essence, they have to sacrifice a tremendous amount of energy and even some of their lifespan,” Yuan said. “Just how much did you give up to make this?”
Supreme Ruler Dena gave a casual shrug. “I’m not sure how much longevity I sacrificed, but I used about half of my power. I’m essentially back to the state I was in when we first left the Deprived Crimson Valley.”
Yuan nearly facepalmed, exasperated by her usual tendency to act without much thought, a habit she picked up after being invincible for so long. In her head, the word consequence was almost nonexistent.
“We’re about to confront the Supreme Ruler, and you use up all of your powers to create this when there is no guarantee it will benefit me?” Yuan sighed.
“Don’t worry about me. I’m sure it’ll work out somehow,” she replied.
“Forget it.” Yuan shook his head.
Meanwhile, both Lev and Purple stared at the crimson crystal in Yuan’s grasp with dazed expressions, as though their minds had been thrown into utter disarray.
Suddenly, Lev’s body jolted as if struck by lightning. In the next instant, he lunged toward Yuan, arm outstretched and fingers curled into a claw, attempting to snatch the crystal from his grasp.
“The heck?” Although he was surprised by Lev’s sudden action, Yuan reacted instantly and subconsciously used Void Manipulation, teleporting behind Lev like a ghost.
Then, with his free hand, grabbed Lev in the back of his neck, restricting him.
“What are you doing?” he questioned as Lev struggled to break free.
“Have you finally lost your mind and become a Forsaken?” Yuan frowned at his crazed behavior that resembled a Forsaken.
However, Yuan doubted Lev had actually turned into a Forsaken, as it seemed too sudden, and he looked more like a mindless beast acting on pure instinct.
While Yuan contemplated this phenomenon, Purple suddenly sprang into action, lunging at him in the same fashion.
Seeing this, Supreme Ruler Dena extended her crimson hair, swiftly binding Purple’s limbs and restraining her in an awkward position with her arms and legs secured behind her back.
Afterward, she turned to Yuan and asked, “What’s wrong with them?” “I was going to ask you the same thing,” he said while shaking his head.
