“Yuan? What’s wrong?” Supreme Ruler Dena asked him when he became as still and silent as a statue even though she’d already finished reciting the incantation for the Supreme Ruler Succession Ritual.

Yuan blinked a few times before turning to look at her and responded, “Don’t worry, nothing’s wrong. I have already acquired the title Supreme Ruler.”

“What? Really? You didn’t even recite the incarnation,” she remarked.

He confirmed with a slight nod, “Yes, I have even spoken with the Demon God.”

“You mean you received the Demon God’s message?” Supreme Ruler Grant said, not wanting to believe Yuan had a real conversation with the Demon God.

“Something like that,” Yuan shrugged, not even going to bother with correcting him.

“If you’ve really become a Supreme Ruler, you should be able to use Power of Authority now,” said Supreme Ruler Dena.

“You mean this?” Yuan said as a crimson symbol glowed on his forehead.

“Wow… you actually became a Supreme Ruler…” Lev stared at him with a dumbstruck face.

He never expected to be in the direct presence of a Supreme Ruler, much less three at once.

‘A human… being the Supreme Ruler? What has our world become?!’ Supreme Ruler Grant cried inwardly.

“Now that we are done here, let’s head to Death Paradise,” Yuan said a moment later.

He turned to Gutou and asked, “Can you bring us to its borders?”

“I will bring you wherever you want me to, even if it’s the other side of the world, esteemed Supreme Ruler!” Gutou instantly replied with a serious expression.

“Of course, I won’t need a single bone from you,” he added.

“Sounds good. But before we leave…”

Before they left the Weeping Ossuary, Yuan went through the entire castle to make sure they didn’t leave anything behind, such as the previous Supreme Ruler’s treasury.

But unsurprisingly, even after looking through every nook and cranny, he was unable to find a single treasure.

“I guess I shouldn’t have expected to find anything in a place made of literally nothing but bones…” he sighed out loud once they returned to the throne room.

“That’s odd,” Gutou suddenly remarked.

“Because Supreme Ruler Exosso wielded a famous weapon known as the Super Bone.”

Yuan’s expression stiffened upon hearing the name.

“Super Bone…? Who the hell gave it such a terrible name?” he asked.

“That would be the Supreme Ruler himself.”

After a moment of silence, Yuan shook his head, “Regardless, it’s not in the castle—”

Yuan’s entire body abruptly stiffened as he sensed something amiss.

He turned to look at the throne where Supreme Ruler Exosso had perished and muttered, “That wasn’t there before I became the Supreme Ruler.”

“What do you see?” Lev inquired, as he was unable to sense anything himself.

Yuan activated Demon God’s Inferior Authority and focused his attention on the throne.

Then, without a word, pointed at it.

A moment later, a slit opened up at the center of the seat, and the surface collapsed inward, revealing a small portal within.

“I’ll be damned…” Yuan immediately thrust his arm into the portal and drew out a fist-sized piece of bone that fit his grip perfectly, as if it had been crafted for his hand.

He continued after a brief pause, “Nobody has successfully been able to hunt a Bone Leviathan except Supreme Ruler Exosso since the beginning of time. In fact, it was such a feat that made him into the Supreme Ruler.”

“Is that so?”

Yuan looked at the bone in his grasp and channeled his spiritual energy into it.

In the next instant, it began to swell and reshape, transforming into a sword.

“What’s with that shape? It’s supposed to be much longer,” Gutou suddenly commented.

“Longer? Like a spear?”

The second Yuan imagined a spear in his mind, the Super Bone transformed again, turning into a spear.

“A shapeshifting treasure, huh? That’s pretty neat. However, I have no idea what special power it contains,” he said, as not even the system had much information about it.

Gutou then spoke, “I couldn’t tell you, either. Nobody has actually seen the Supreme Ruler use it in action.”

“I’ll figure it out later,” Yuan said as he tossed the treasure into his spatial ring.

“Let’s go. To Death Paradise.”

They left the Weeping Ossuary shortly later with Gotou guiding them.

A few years later…

“We will arrive at the Death Paradise in three months,” Gutou said.

“Honestly, this is my first time being so close to Death Paradise.”

“Because of the phenomenon, huh?” “We call it the Decaying Poison. It’s so powerful that even the previous Supreme Ruler couldn’t endure it…” After a brief pause, Gotou asked, “I must ask, how do you intend on dealing with the poison? Surely, you’re not going to Death Paradise without any preparations, right?”

“Whatever you might do… good luck…” Gutou said before resuming their journey. After all, he had no plan on entering Death Paradise with them, so it was none of his problem.

A few days later, Supreme Ruler Dena spoke out loud, “Something is coming.”

“This overwhelming presence…! It can only belong to one being!” Gutou trembled at the approaching presence.

“A Bone Leviathan!” he exclaimed.
