Cultivation Online - Chapter 2459 Spirit Tree’s Awakening

Moments before Zaaran unleashed his deadly attack, a notification appeared before Yuan.
<Spirit Tree has awakened>
<Spirit Tree has completed its evolution>
<Spirit Tree has evolved into Tree of Eternity>
‘Tree of Eternity?’ Yuan raised an eyebrow at the unfamiliar name.
The Spirit Tree was originally acquired by Tian Yi, but it was not something he found. Rather, it was given to him by one of the Nine Divine Supremes.
When it was given to him, the Divine Supreme explained to him its name and purpose. Yet, it was not the Tree of Eternity, but the Tree of Beginning.
According to the Divine Supreme, the Tree of Beginning was not only the first living organism in existence, but also the origin of spiritual energy.
The Tree of Beginning was meant to grant Yuan an inexhaustible supply of spiritual energy once fully matured. Moreover, it served as a crucial component for forging an entirely new physique—one that had never been discovered by the humans of the Nine Heavens.
Tian Yi had prepared the Tree of Beginning for his future reincarnation, and as far as Yuan understood, if things were no longer unfolding as intended… then it meant his fate itself had shifted.
‘My fate has changed, and I can no longer rely on what my previous incarnations had prepared for me. Yet, I don’t feel nervous for some reason…’ Yuan thought to himself.
The next moment, Yuan taunted Zaaran, causing him to unleash a devastating attack that was nearly double Yuan’s full prowess.
Even though there was a good chance this attack could kill him, Yuan felt oddly calm, almost as if he could instinctively tell that he would survive it.
<Tree of Eternity senses a tremendous amount of Eternal Essence>
<Tree of Eternity spreads its roots throughout your body>
The next moment, two trillion years’ worth of Eternal Essence clashed against Yuan’s body.
Knowing that he couldn’t block or avoid the attack, Yuan didn’t even bother attempting anything.
<Your Eternal Constitution(Incomplete) has temporarily evolved, turning into Eternity Constitution>
<Eternity Constitution has activated, absorbing the Eternal Essence>
Before Zaaran’s Eternal Essence could even touch Yuan, it was already being absorbed.
“That is?!” Deemo’s real body trembled upon witnessing the scene of Yuan absorbing Zaaran’s Eternal Essence.
<Eternity Constitution has absorbed two trillion years’ worth of Eternal Essence>
<The absorbed Eternal Essence has been stored inside the Tree of Eternity>
<The Tree of Eternity has begun refining its Eternal Essence>
In the blink of an eye, Zaaran’s attack was swallowed by Yuan.
The Eternal Essence disappeared so fast that it seemed as if it vanished into nothingness.
Normally, when Yuan absorbed energy, it was a gradual process, like slowly filling an empty tank with water. But this time, it was as if the entire contents had been dumped in at once, filling it instantly.
“What the fuck?! Where did my Eternal Essence go?!” Zaaran exclaimed in shock and disbelief, looking like he’d just witnessed a ghost.
He thought it might have been absorbed, but when he examined Yuan, he could not sense two trillion years’ worth of Eternal Essence within him.
“What is going on?!” Zaaran turned to look at Deemo, wondering if he had anything to do with it.
However, Deemo shook his head and spoke in an adamant voice, “I had nothing to do with it, so you can stop looking at me.”
“Then what the hell happened?! There’s no way my attack vanished into thin air!” Zaaran shouted angrily, feeling utterly confused.
While Zaaran was confused, Yuan unleashed his attack.
However, he didn’t just attack with his trillion years’ worth of Eternal Essence.
<Tree of Eternity has activated>
<You have tapped into the Tree of Eternity’s storage>
<You have consumed two trillion years’ worth of Eternal Essence>
<Shiva’s Eternal Frost!>
“Where the hell is this power coming from?! Don’t tell me you used my power—ARGH!”
Zaaran cried out loud in pain as three trillion years’ worth of Eternal Essence crashed into his avatar.
“It hurts! It burns!! Aaaahhh!!!”
The attack was so powerful that it scattered Zaaran’s avatar moments later.
“I… lost…?” Zaaran’s voice that was full of disbelief echoed in the void.
“This cannot be happening…”
He never imagined that he would lose to Yuan, much less be defeated in such a fashion.
“This is… impossible…” Zaaran’s voice dwindled to a faint whisper, growing weaker with each passing moment—until it vanished entirely, along with his very presence.
“…”
Silence lingered in the void long after Zaaran’s defeat.
Yuan remained still, quietly trying to comprehend the nature of his newfound power while Deemo observed him in silence.
Eventually, Deemo’s voice resounded, “Congratulations on defeating Zaaran.”
Yuan turned to face him and said, “There’s nothing to celebrate. I merely defeated his avatar. I doubt that was even half of his true prowess.”
“So what? It doesn’t change the fact that you, a mere mortal, have defeated an Eternal. That is not something anyone can achieve. In fact, this may be the first time since the beginning of time that a human has defeated an Eternal.”
Yuan narrowed his eyes and revealed, “This is not my first time fighting and defeating an Eternal. In fact, I put several of them to sleep before.”
“That is entirely impossible,” Deemo shook his head, speaking in a firm tone.
“So you are calling me a liar?” Yuan frowned.
“No, I am saying that you have misunderstood the situation. Even with that attack you used to defeat Zaaran, it would be impossible to defeat an Eternal in their real body. In fact, you’d need at least ten trillion years’ worth of Eternal Essence to even injure the weakest Eternal out there.”
“What? But I know I put those Eternals to sleep!” Yuan exclaimed.
“You can believe what you want, but I have no reason to deceive you.”
After a brief pause, Deemo continued, “As for Zaaran… that avatar was only about ten percent of his true capability.”
“What?! There’s no way!” Yuan cried out in disbelief before explaining his reasoning. “I fought with Saaruk’s avatar before, and he claimed to be using twenty percent of his true prowess, and he was much weaker than Zaaran just now!”
