“I have been looking for you everywhere, Dragon Monarch.”

“Who are you?” Aditya asked in a cold tone, his expression turning serious in an instant. He also stepped forward a little, shielding his women behind his body.

“I am one of the core members of the Organisation.”

He was tall, standing at around 1.9 meters (6 feet 3 inches), with a straight and steady posture. His entire body was covered in a long black cloak that reached down to his ankles.

The hood of the cloak covered most of his face, but a sharp chin and pale skin could still be seen. His lips were thin, and there was a faint smile on his face that did not look friendly at all. His eyes were hidden in darkness.

Even his Aura felt very sinister and cold.

’Athena, is he a Necromancer?’ Asked Laura. Everyone was trying to learn as much as possible about this mysterious man.

In his right hand, he held a long, thin blade. The sword was completely black, with no reflection on its surface. The edge of the blade looked uneven, almost like it was made of condensed shadows instead of metal.

’The question since when did he get so close to us?’ Aditya became alert. He did not know how much of their conversation this man had heard.

’That only means he confirmed our identities by listening to our conversation.’ Aditya had a feeling that this guy was observing them from the beginning.

’Good job, I came out of the Purple Fog on my own. Otherwise, who knows this guy might have attacked Rin, Laura, and Athena while I was stuck inside the Purple Fog.’ Just the thought of anything happening to his women filled him with anger. He almost felt like his blood was boiling.

His brother Ferdinand started as a Viscount and slowly rose in power to become the Duke around 1,800 years ago. He is one of those minor Dukes who did not inherit the position of a Duke because of his family, but rather earned it through his merits. Right now, Duke Ferdinand was one of the strongest voices opposing the Emperor.

“More like stepbrother.” He replied with suppressed hate.

Michael Carrick was the stepbrother of Duke Ferdinand.

Michael Carrick’s mother was a maid who later got pregnant with Carrick. After giving birth, due to abuse from Ferdinand’s mother, she died. Because of this, the relationship between the two brothers always remained strained.

A few hundred years back, things escalated so much to the point that nearly half of a City was destroyed because of their fight. In the end, Carrick became a wanted criminal, and he had no choice but to flee. And because Ferdinand was the Duke and one of the most respected noblemen in the empire, his punishment was to rebuild the city.

That scar on his forehead was also given to him by his brother during their fight. But he never chose to heal it and let this scar be a reminder of his past failures.

“I guess you joined the Organisation after the fight with your brother.” Aditya wanted to know if his guess was correct.

“I searched for a way to find power. And the Organisation was able to give me what I wanted. In return, I did not mind working for them.”

“I mean, why not? The monthly salary is really great. I am almost as rich as my brother. But it’s not about money. After killing you, I will head to his territory and kill him in the same place where my mother died.” His voice was extremely cold and filled with pure hatred towards his brother.

Suddenly, Aditya had another guess. He himself hoped that his guess wasn’t correct.

“If you are a member of the Organisation, does that mean your brother is also a part of it?” If it were true, then this would change a lot of things. Aditya thought that Duke Ferdinand would be a really powerful ally in the civil war, but if he was a member of the organisation, then he was trusting a snake with his back.

“Don’t make me laugh. If he joins, then I am the Organisation’s biggest enemy.” Hearing this, Aditya was relieved.

Aditya looked at him with a small smile. “The truth is, the only reason you joined the organisation is that you were always a number two.”

Unfortunately for him, his brother Ferdinand was always better than him in every aspect. He was more talented than Carrick in cultivation, fighting, and studying. For now, she did not say anything as the enemy would be able to hear her words. She just looked at Rin, and Laura and signalled to them to step back. Stepping back just 100 meters or more wouldn’t work. When cultivators of that power scale fight, each of their attacks could destroy a small town.

“Where is Leo?” If possible, Aditya wanted to know where Leo was hiding and eliminate the root cause of everything.

“Hahahaha!!! Like I would know. And even if I know, why would I tell you?” He sneered.

’Still, I am surprised that an outsider actually knows the Leader’s name. How did he know about his identity?’ Although he wasn’t loyal to the Organisation as some other crazy core members were, he still valued the Organisation and wouldn’t let anyone who knew such crucial information about their leader live.

’Maybe after I am done killing my brother, I will need to head to the Six Continent and personally oversee the destruction of the Istarin Empire.’

He then noticed the Sky was rapidly darkening. Dark Clouds with red Crimson lightning covered almost one-fourth of the Dragon Mountain Range.

At the same time, a Crimson Lightning armour formed around his entire body.

His body also slightly changed shape. His hands became Crimson Claws. Beautiful gem-like glowing scales covered his entire body except for his face. The beautiful scales covered up to his chin. The shape and size of his pupil also changed to Crimson Slits. His teeth became sharper and slightly longer.
