Dragon Monarch System - Chapter 1048 1048:- Elder Victor's Victims

“This Funeral is over. Mister Victor, you should take your leave.” Cassian wanted a moment alone with Aditya. He left with the nobles but then returned for some reason, which Cassian found a very odd thing.
“He is here for me.” Aditya noticed that ever since he made his entrance, this guy has been staring at him with full of hatred. He did not even bother to hide his hatred for Aditya.
Seeing Aditya walk and stand before him, Victor finally let out a grin. But that grin was anything but friendly.
“What do you want?” Aditya asked in an unfriendly tone.
“Tell me, have you noticed that every week, one soldier from the Istarin Empire always disappears?” Hearing this, Aditya’s expression darkened.
This started as a small problem, but later became a problem that they could not solve.
“That was you?” Aditya asked in an angry tone. His voice did not get high, but from his tone it was clear that Aditya was angry.
Seeing him react like this made Victor very happy. This was the expression that he wanted to see on Aditya’s face at this moment.
“Yes!” Victor replied with a savage grin. He was very happy to say yes to Aditya’s face. The reaction that Aditya made when he said yes made it even more worth this revisit.
Victor had managed to get everyone’s attention. Everyone who was left in the Hall stared at Victor. But Victor did not feel the least bit intimidated by the stares of all these powerful cultivators.
“You see, I knew I could not hope to beat you within the six continents. It would not be wrong to say that within the six continents, you are invincible. Regardless of how much preparation I make, I knew that fighting you within the six continents is a losing battle from the beginning.”
“I have seen cultivators who are even stronger than me die in your hands within the six continents. But I am not stupid like them or overconfident like those people who died in your hand. So I patiently chose to wait and endure this pain inside me.”
“I kept waiting with Hope that one day you would come to the Main continent, either because of the Celestial Dragon Empire, or to find the organisation that has tried almost everything to make your life as hard as possible.” Aditya immediately noticed that Victor knew about the organisation.
This made him wonder if he was a member of the Organisation or if his Sect worked for the Organisation.
“While waiting for you for month after month, I grew restless. I began to get more agitated.” Victor took out a rope and pulled it hard in front of Aditya. Almost as if to show his state in those months of waiting.
“I became so restless that I could not sleep or cultivate in peace. For me, you became the focal point of obsession. I was, and I’m still obsessed with killing you.”
Harrington wanted to suppress Victor immediately with his Aura, but his nephew Wahid stopped him.
He signalled Harrington to calm down and let Victor finish talking.
“I wanted to strangle you to death.”
“I wanted to give you the most miserable and painful death I could give.” Then Victor threw the rope down and took out something that instantly caught the eyes of everyone in this room.
It was a rotting skull. But due to its condition, it was impossible to recognise whose skull it was.
“I knew I would go crazy if I didn’t take my anger out on someone. This frustration, this pain, this rage building up inside me needed to be controlled until Aditya came to the Main Continent.”
Victor looked at Harrington and continued without a hint of fear. He was the only person in the entire hall who wasn’t the least afraid of Harrington or Boris.
Harrington, hearing everything immediately, wanted to end this bastard’s life. But once again, someone stopped him. And this time it was Boris who stopped him.
Boris first wanted to know what Aditya had done with the missing soldiers of the Istarin Empire. That was something he could not ignore, and he needed to hear it directly from him. At the same time, he also understood an important truth. Not every battle in Aditya’s life could be fought by others on his behalf.
There were moments where his grandson had to stand on his own and face things without relying on anyone else. No matter how strong their support was, there were certain paths that only Aditya could walk by himself.
Harrington’s overprotective nature came from a place of deep love, and in many ways, it was a good thing. But even that had its limits. If taken too far, it could become harmful. Shielding someone from everything would only weaken them in the long run, and Boris knew that too much protection was never the right answer.
“So every week I made a trip to a random city of the Istarin Empire. When the opportunity came, I kidnapped one of your soldiers every week.” Victor then threw the skull on the floor. The skull rolled a few times before stopping in front of Aditya.
“You want to know what I did with them?” Aditya did not reply. Everyone understood what he did with the soldiers from seeing the skull.
“Every single target went through a different kind of torture.” Victor took out another skull and looked at it. This skull did not have any rotting flesh, which suggested that this one was killed very early on.
After killing every target, Victor used a special alchemy method to quickly decompose the skin and flesh of the dead.
“I would take them to a remote underground location far from this place. I would strip them naked.”
“Then I would torture them for days in many ways before their minds completely broke. I tried with them in every single way possible until they shattered.”
Victor then began taking out one skull after another. Each Skull perfectly rolled on the ground a few times before stopping in front of Aditya.
“I will give you one example.”
“One time, I captured a soldier of your empire.”
“When he regained his consciousness and saw me, he spoke some bold words about how their Dragon Monarch would find me and kill me.”
“At first, his words only amused me, but when he crossed a certain line, I tore off all of his limbs with my hands.”
“Then, while he screamed in agony, I released an injured, hungry Salamander.” Aditya was so angry that his eyes turned red and were filled with tears of anger.
“While the salamander chased the poor little soldier, he kept screaming your name, hoping that the Dragon Monarch could save him.”
“Hahahaha!!!!!” Just remembering that moment, Victor laughed. He was laughing like he had remembered a really funny joke.
But this was anything but funny to Aditya or others. Just imagining everything that his soldiers must have gone through gave Aditya goosebumps.
Without even realising it, faint strands of crimson lightning began to flicker out of his body.
The calm sky that had just cleared after the storm started to darken once again, as if responding to his emotions. Thick clouds gathered overhead, and within seconds, heavy rain began to fall.
At the same time, his anger continued to rise. A few strands of hair on his forehead began to change colour, shifting from blue to crimson before returning to their original shade, only to repeat the process again and again.
His breathing became slightly heavier.
Crack…!!!
The ground beneath his feet began to crack under the pressure of his aura, and the space around him felt unstable and distorted as if it could break at any moment. He was slowly losing control.
“This is just one of the many examples of the amusing things that I did with them before finishing them off.” A total of 59 skulls were in front of Aditya.
This was the number of soldiers Victor had taken.
Calling it “killed” would not be accurate. What he did went far beyond that. These were the soldiers he had tortured without showing even the smallest amount of mercy. He did not end their lives quickly or cleanly. He dragged out their suffering, making sure they felt every moment of pain before finally cutting off their heads.
And even that was not the end. He collected their skulls.
He kept them as trophies, not out of necessity, but out of pride. His intention was clear. One day, he wanted to stand in front of Aditya and display them. He wanted to show Aditya just so he could see the look on his enemy’s face and enjoy the moment.
