Dragon Monarch System - Chapter 1070:- Confrontation, Makalor and Renji

The fireworks lasted for almost 5 minutes. Once everything ended, the sky turned dark again. The starry sky and the celestial objects in the sky were covered by dark clouds as if to signal the arrival of a big storm.
“Grandpa, from my knowledge, these bluish light pillars came from some kind of box. If we could find one of those boxes and destroyed them. Then this whole barrier won’t be active anymore.”
Boris and Harrington looked at each other.
“I will go.” Harrington stood up. Boris did not volunteer since he did not know this city as well as Harrington did.
Harrington was about to leave when the sound of a loud explosion caught his eye.
Boooooom….!!!
Everyone saw a large mushroom-shaped fire rising in the air. The explosion came from the Northern part of the City.
“I will go.” Harrington did not hesitate any longer. It came from the same area from which one of the bluish light pillars rose high in the air.
“I want to Vardy here now.” Wahid ordered one of the maids. The maid disappeared faster than the speed of wind.
“I feel like we are completely surrounded. It feels as if the whole city is being controlled by whoever is doing this.” Athena said in a low tone while staring outside.
“This is Axel City. No one dares to come to this city and do whatever they want.”
“Even if some people did come here with that intention, they won’t have the last laugh. They are not leaving this place without our permission.”
The meaning was clear. Whoever had dared to target Axel City and enter the territory of the Harrington Faction had already stepped directly into the den of monsters. Expecting to freely come here, cause chaos, and then leave without paying any price was nothing more than a foolish dream.
No matter who the enemy was, once they entered this place with hostile intentions, the Harrington family had no intention of letting them escape so easily.
But just a few seconds after Wahid spoke, another explosion shook the entire city and its residents.
Booooooooom…!!!!
Another explosion, which was the same as the first one, took place in the southern corner of the city.
“I will deal with this. Wahid, stay here and protect Aditya.” Before anyone could say anything, Boris had already vanished.
Boris and Harrington both left thinking that the entire army of the Harrington family was still there. With Beginner 7th-order Commander Vardy and Mid 7th-order powerhouse Wahid, there was no chance that anyone could do anything to Aditya or the rest. They left with that sense of security.
But only if they knew that before all of this began, Vardy and most of his men were falsely led outside of the city, and now they were stuck outside.
Boris flew out of the palace and was about to fly to the place where the second explosion took place. But just as he flew out of the, he stopped feeling a presence looking at him from a distance. Boris became cautious.
He stopped flying and looked around. He could not pinpoint exactly from where he was being watched. As a Peak 7th order, he had developed this extra supernatural sense that allowed him to feel when he was being watched with malicious intention.
So he was 100% sure that he was being watched by now.
’What was that?’ The moment he stopped, the feeling of being watched also disappeared. He then spread his senses all across the city to see if he could find anything suspicious. But nothing stood out.
Boris could only sense being watched. Unfortunately, he could not sense the direction of the target from which he was being watched. So, not knowing the location of the target, he had no choice but to give up and continue towards the direction of the explosion.
He was sure that he would find something there.
’I will finish my part as early as possible and return.’
’Til then, Wahid should be able to hold and protect everyone if anyone is bold enough to attack the Palace.’
Meanwhile, far into the distance, a man of the organisation was indeed watching Boris using a long-range seeing artefact. The moment Boris stopped and had this suspicious look on his face, the man felt like his heart had stopped.
“That was close, man.” He was able to conceal his aura before Boris spread his senses to search for any anomaly.
“Madam, Boris felt that he was being watched. But he is still heading towards the direction of the explosion.”
“Good.” Sophia nodded her head. She wanted to fight Boris.
Obviously, she was not going to fight Boris alone. No matter how powerful she was, she wasn’t confident that she could kill the legendary emperor on her own. She had one other powerful core member of the Organisation’s help in this fight.
“But that coward Ren just left everything to us and ran away. Fucking Hell. This is his fight, and he is absent.”
“Once I am done with this Mission, I will demand outrageous compensation from him.” A part of Sophia was pissed. She was also a core member of the organisation, yet Ren received special treatment and this time he was given full access to the treasury as well.
The fact that she had to ask him what she needed for this mission made it even more annoying. She viewed Ren as her equal, but in this mission, Ren treated everyone as if they were beneath him.
“Whatever happens, either Boris or Harrington, or both must die today.”
Sophia still did not see Aditya as a major threat. In her eyes, he was merely a mid-5th-order cultivator. Yes, his achievements in the Six Continents were impressive, and he might have been considered nearly undefeatable there, but this was the Main Continent.
The Main Continent was a completely different world.
Here, countless geniuses had appeared throughout history, only to eventually disappear or die before ever reaching the top. Talent alone was not enough to survive in a place filled with ancient monsters, terrifying sects, and powerful empires. Compared to the truly powerful figures of the Main Continent, Sophia still felt that Aditya had not yet reached the level where he could genuinely threaten everything around him.
In her opinion, the real dangers were the powerful figures standing behind Aditya. Boris and Harrington were the true pillars supporting his side. As long as those two remained present, the civil war would remain relatively balanced. However, if even one of them was taken out of the equation or worse, both of them, then the overall strength of Aditya’s faction would immediately weaken significantly.
“Let’s go. We can’t keep Boris waiting.”

Scene Change______
“From my understanding, you are not part of the Organisation, so why are you siding with them?” Asked Harrington to Renji. But Renji wasn’t alone. He was with another powerful mid-7th-order cultivator from the League of Black Tomb.
“Sir Malakor, you know me.” Renji replied with a relaxed smile.
“For me, there is nothing more tempting than a good reward. I just need to fight you and kill you, then my sect will receive more wealth than it could ever spend in the next 10,000 years. How can I possibly pass out on such a huge reward?”
Renji was not an idiot who could be easily blinded by temptation or emotions. Before making any major decision, he always carefully calculated the risks and benefits involved. He understood very clearly that recklessness was often the fastest path to death in the Main Continent.
Because of that, he would never have agreed to directly fight Harrington if another powerful member of the Organisation had not arrived to support him today.
Fighting Harrington alone was practically the same as seeking death or committing suicide. Renji knew exactly how terrifying the old monster truly was. Harrington was not someone an ordinary Peak 7th-order cultivator could casually challenge and hope to survive against.
However, with another powerful member of the Organisation standing beside him, the situation became completely different. Together, they believed they could at least fight Harrington on equal footing. And if things went well, there was even a very real possibility that they could kill him here today.
Regardless of how things turned out today, Renji was at least 100% certain about one thing: he would not die here.
He had not come to Axel City without preparation. Before agreeing to participate in this operation, he had already made sure that he possessed enough methods and backup plans to guarantee his survival even if the situation completely spiralled out of control.
If things truly became ugly, then he could simply retreat back to the Chimera Shadow Sect and hide there for centuries if necessary. Renji had absolute confidence in the defensive capabilities and hidden foundations of his sect. In his mind, there was no way Harrington would actually dare to chase him all the way to the Chimera Shadow Sect and attempt to forcefully break into its territory just to kill him.
Harrington took out his greatsword while coldly staring at the two.
“The best reward you will get today is your death.” Harrington released his horrifying killing intent.
He knew that his killing intent alone could kill normal citizens. But right now, he did not care. He only cared about killing the bastard who decided to mess with him and his family.
“We will see.” Renji just laughed while bringing out a dark spear. It was his weapon.
