Dragon Monarch System - Chapter 1081:- Aftermath

After Aditya lost consciousness, what happened next was nothing short of chaos. The battle itself might have ended, but the aftermath was just beginning. While the barrier remained active, Commander Vardy managed to establish contact with the outside world and inform everyone about what had happened inside Axel City. The moment the news spread, the entire Harrington Faction was thrown into action.
One after another, the Dukes and Duchesses who had pledged their support to Aditya arrived outside the city. They did not come alone. Each of them brought some of their strongest cultivators, trusted guards, and elite troops. Within a short period of time, the area surrounding Axel City was filled with powerful experts. The pressure created by so many high-level cultivators gathering in one place was enough to make ordinary people tremble.
Unfortunately, despite all their power, there was very little they could do. The barrier surrounding the city remained active, completely isolating Axel City from the outside world. No matter what methods they tried, nobody was able to force their way through. They could only watch helplessly while those trapped inside dealt with the aftermath of the attack.
By the time the barrier finally disappeared, it was already too late.
The remaining members of the Organisation had vanished without leaving behind a single trace. The moment the barrier went down, countless cultivators were dispatched in every direction to search for them. Powerful experts searched the nearby mountains, forests, villages, and trade routes. Some even used tracking techniques and specialised artefacts. Yet despite all their efforts, nothing was found. It was as if the Organisation had disappeared into thin air.
But what happened to Wahid and Aditya left everyone shaken. Previously, in front of everyone, Aditya had dropped encrypted words about the Organisation. But after this, no words about the organisation’s capabilities need to be said. Everyone who came themselves immediately understood the huge threat of the Organisation.

Scene Change____
After an unknown amount of time, Aditya opened his eyes.
The first thing, he focused on after opening his eyes was a few figures who were sitting by his bed. Athena was reading a book. Rin was sleeping by his side. He watched both girls in silence with a small smile.
A part of him also longed to see everyone else back at the Main Continent.
’It’s a good thing, they are not here.’ Staying there, at least, they will be safe. Aditya had left them with enough means to protect themselves. Even the Empire could defend itself without needing its Dragon Monarch.
’Dragon Monarch? This title feels like a joke now.’ Especially after the beating that he took from Victor, and watched helplessly as his Uncle Wahid was nearly killed by Victor’s hands.
“Aditya, you are awake!!” The moment Athena saw him awake, she almost jumped on him. But then remembered that his injuries still hadn’t healed. So she gently leaned forward for a gentle hug.
Aditya wanted to wrap his arms around her, but then realised both of his arms were still wrapped in bandages.
He looked down, under the blanket, and one of his legs was still missing.
Seeing him checking out his limbs, Athena explained.
“Your left arm was severed cleanly, so the healers were able to reattach it. With the help of healing potions and specialised stitching techniques, they managed to connect everything back together.” Athena spoke in a calm voice while carefully explaining his condition. “As for your right arm, they were also able to stitch it back, but the situation is much worse. Most of the bones inside were shattered into countless pieces during the battle. Even with powerful healing potions, repairing that level of damage takes time.”
She glanced at his right arm before continuing. “The healers estimate that it will take at least one to two weeks before your right arm fully recovers. Until then, you should avoid putting too much strain on it.” Aditya simply nodded his head. His expression remained calm and emotionless as he listened. Whether it was losing an arm, a leg, or suffering countless injuries, he appeared far more concerned about some other matters than his own condition.
Athena remained silent for a moment before moving on to the next injury. “As for your leg, the situation was even worse.”
“The entire leg was blown apart during the battle. There was simply not enough left to stitch back together. Reattaching it was never an option.”
She then added, “Fortunately, the Harrington Faction possesses some of the finest alchemists in the Empire. After studying your condition, they worked together to create a specialised regeneration potion specifically for you. According to them, once the medicine fully takes effect, your leg will gradually regrow on its own.”
“If everything goes according to plan, your leg should be completely restored within ten to twelve days.”
’10 to 12 days….’ Aditya wasn’t happy hearing this. His heart and mind only had one emotion or one thought, and that was revenge. He knew he won’t be able to bring himself to stay in bed for 10 days.
“What about Uncle Wahid?” Aditya was more concerned about him.
“He is in a better condition than before.”
“Because of the immediate treatment he received from us, his condition somewhat stabilised. But his internal injuries are so much more serious than yours.”
She looked him directly in the eye and continued. “He is still in a comatose state.”
“Without his cultivation, even his supernatural healing power had vanished.” Hearing this, Aditya wanted to clench his fists, but then realised he could not feel his arms yet. Especially his palms and his fingers. He could not move them.
“Your arms will take some hours to start working again.”
“For now, you should stay in bed and rest.” Aditya silently nodded his head.
Outwardly, he appeared calm. His expression barely changed, and he did not say anything further. But deep inside, his heart was far from calm. No matter how hard he tried, he could not stop thinking about what had happened during the battle.
Again and again, the same scenes replayed inside his mind.
He remembered Victor effortlessly breaking through his attacks. He remembered the overwhelming difference in power between them. He remembered losing his arm. Losing his leg. He remembered being completely powerless despite activating the Dragon Monarch’s Domain and pushing himself to his absolute limits.
Most of all, he remembered Wahid throwing himself in front of that spear. The more he thought about it, the tighter his fists became.
Every time the name Victor appeared in his mind, a powerful surge of anger rose from deep within his heart. It felt as if a fire was burning inside him, growing stronger with each passing second. Never before had he hated someone to this extent.
Victor had not only defeated him.
He had humiliated him.
He had made him feel powerless.
He had nearly killed Wahid.
And worst of all, he had walked away after doing all of it.
Aditya could still remember Victor’s voice. He could still remember his face. Every word that man had spoken during the battle remained deeply engraved in his memory. The more he recalled those moments, the stronger his hatred became.
At that moment, Aditya made a silent promise to himself.
He would find Victor again. And when that day came, he would make sure that Victor paid for everything.
’You will pay.’
’The entire Night Rider Sect Will Pay.’ But Aditya wasn’t stupid. He realised, in his current state, he alone cannot take on the entire Night Rider Sect.
’I need a powerful army of my own.’ Aditya closed his eyes and began to think for a moment.
After a moment, he remembered one place that he felt he should visit again.
’Why hadn’t I thought of that place before?’ That place was perfect. Their desperation will make them do anything. Aditya could take perfect advantage of that and quickly bring a lot of them under his rule.
“What happened after I lost my consciousness?” Aditya asked Athena.
“Grandpa Boris killed Sect Leader Sophia on his own.”
“While Grandpa Malakor killed Renji, who is the Chimaera Shadow Sect Leader and one of his friend’s sons.” This made him open his eyes and look at Athena.
“Who is it?”
“It’s Harry Ashworth.”
“His father, Harvey Ashworth, is a really close friend of Harrington.”
“When Grandpa revealed the truth to Harvey Ashworth, the man was so shocked that he nearly had a heart attack. The news had shaken him and the entire Ashworth family to his core.”
“How are Aunty Zahira and Aunty Yuna doing?”
“Not well. Neither of them has slept or left Uncle Wahid’s side since that happened.” Aditya nodded without being too surprised or too shocked about it.
Soon, the news of Aditya waking up spread. Boris, Malakor, and everyone else came to see him. Soon, his bedroom was flooded with people.
When Rin woke up, she too had the same reaction as Athena did.
After a while, everyone left the room, leaving Aditya all alone. But this was the moment that he needed. By then, he had regained one of his arms’ senses. He could control his right arm’s fingers and palm.
Once he was alone, he opened his eyes. He was just pretending to fall asleep in front of others so that others would give him space.
Aditya opened the window and then disappeared in the middle of the night.
