“Y-Young Master Bo…”, Huo Bai spoke up with hesitation.

“Hmm?”, the Young Master turned a slightly annoyed look to him.

“S-speaking of beautiful women… I heard there’s a man who is rumored to have more than a dozen exceptional beauties around him in this City”, he said with an ingratiating look on his face, which caused Tiezhu Bo to show an interested look as he stopped, his entourage stopping around him.

This gave Ko Gunwen a headache, “Ah, no… that. You must’ve heard wrong. I heard that one, it’s a total dud”

He gave Huo Bai a short, almost unnoticeable gaze, but which was packed with meaning, and turned to Tiezhu Bo, “As I said, if it’s beauties you’re looking for. I will be organizing everything today as the host”

“Heh, hear him? You think you know more about the city than its Young Master?”, Tiezhu Bo suddenly became amused, even some of the annoyance he felt toward Huo Bai subsided because of it.

“What was that?”, he asked.

“W-what?”

“That look you just gave him. It was the second one. I let it go the first time thinking you were just mad he talked about the city as if he knew more than you, but this one clearly was for him to shut up, and not in the ‘I know better’ kind of way, more like ‘don’t talk about this’ type of look”, Tiezhu Bo spoke narrowing his eyes, “Clearly, you seem to know something about this. You hiding something from me, brother?”

“Wha-…”, Ko Gunwen made an exasperated breathless laugh, planning to say ‘what are you talking about?’, but seeing the dead serious look in the other’s eyes, made a more sincere expression, “Come on, Bo, I got you with the ladies tonight. I told you. No need to bother someone…”

“Bother?”, Tiezhu Bo gave a slightly dangerous look to Ko Gunwen, “What do you mean, ‘bother’? Since when taking what I want is ‘bothering someone’, huh?”

“I didn’t mean it like that”, Ko Gunwen tried to explain, “There’s just plenty of girls where I’m leading you… you’ve just arrived today, and the evening is young, you’ll see plenty of those that catch your eye”

“W-what are you talking about? That’s just absurd, Bo”, Ko Gunwen was slightly nervous because he knew this guy very well, and knew what this mood he was showing was.

Normally, he would’ve mimicked his mood and gotten excited with him, but his recent experience changed things.

He was no longer blind to circumstances, people, and potential consequences. The city was filled with powerful and important people, and letting Tiezhu Bo act freely, especially in the manner he knew he would in this kind of mood, was risky.

Ko Gunwen also remembered the rumors Huo Bai talked about. And knew it was not the kind that one should be acting in a rush about, because the man was beside an Imperial Prince.

He never saw those supposed beauties personally, in fact rarely did anyone see them.

And there weren’t any attempts, since messing with the man so close to an Imperial Prince, who was supposedly also quite dangerous on his own, was not advisable to say the least.

“So, where are we going?” Tiezhu Bo released Ko Gunwen and asked.

This brought a spark of inspiration to Ko Gunwen, “They’re staying in the same inn that the prince is staying at. And almost never seen outside”

“That’s true but the man goes on dates with one or two every now and then”, Huo Bai interjected again, holding a few communication talismans and a communication jade, “And we’re in luck since he’s out on a date with one of them right now”

“Hah, you know, you keep going like this and you’re going to go far my friend”, Tiezhu Bo chuckled toward Huo Bai, “Lead the way”

“Young Master Bo is too kind, this way”, Huo Bai moved forward, but as he turned to face forward, his ingratiating smile faded as a cold and callous look appeared in his eyes.

He heard Ko Gunwen try to dissuade Tiezhu Bo behind his back, but was not worried, since he knew his Young Master well. There was no stopping him now no matter how much Ko Gunwen tried.
