Eternal Thief - Chapter 1580: Hunter’s Hunt! (4)

Chapter 1580: Hunter’s Hunt! (4)
The Evaluation Platform of the Evernight Sanctuary wasn’t some ordinary treasure; it was an Abyssal Grade-9 spirit treasure, and it had been found with the secret realm together and was one of its most powerful treasures.
Furthermore, the Evaluation Platform can not only detect bone age, bloodline, and the cultivation of an Abyssal Being, but also probe Fantastic Physiques, Fantastic Meridians, and divine traits.
That’s why Evernight Devil King was at a loss about Nomad’s evaluation and even started to doubt his own judgment because the evaluation platform had never been wrong before, while the other Evernight Kings didn’t doubt it for even a moment.
The Evernight Demon King tilted her head slightly as she noticed doubt in Evernight Devil King’s tone, and she inquired in her melodious yet childish voice, “Is there something wrong, second senior brother?”
Her white eyes were fixed on the image of Nomad as well, and curiosity flickering like a blade’s edge within them.
The Evernight Devil King decided to keep this matter to himself and even considered it an honest mistake on his part, replying tonelessly, “Well, just like first brother has mentioned, I was expecting more from the disciple of the Moonless Wandering King; what a pity.”
The Evernight Fiend King couldn’t help but nod in approval as if he was pleased with Evernight Devil King’s similar opinion.
The Evernight Demon King smiled, childlike and chilling as she giggled, “Letdown it may be, but I think it’s pretty interesting this way.”
“Oh, pray tell, third sister?” The Evernight Fiend King couldn’t help but question, and the Evernight Devil King also seemed interested in his junior sister’s opinion.
Between the three of them, the Evernight Demon King was the youngest Abyssal King, but she was also a special existence among the Abyssal Demon Race.
“Hehe, Eldest Senior Brother,” The Evernight Demon King giggled with a hint of slyness, “Even if this Nomad has an inferior Abyssal Fiend Bloodline, don’t you think it’s strange that he was able to become Moonless’s disciple, and the only known disciple of that secretive Wanderer?
“Not only that, but he’s been sent here to enter the Evernight Sanctuary while offering a Ghost King and then even unraveled the schemes of the Cult of Undying Star?”
“What’s so extraordinary about it?” The Evernight Fiend King sneered in ridicule, “Isn’t it obvious? It was all planned by that miscreant, so this brat can earn our goodwill and enter the Evernight Sanctuary!”
The Evernight Demon King’s lips curled up playfully as she snickered, “But isn’t he alive despite going through all those dangerous situations, especially the events of Black Hermit City?
“Just tell me honestly, if you sent the top genius in Abyssal Master Realm of your clan to those Black Hermit Mines at that time, do you think they could’ve fought their way out alive?
“Even if you gave them life-preserving methods, they might not be able to completely utilize them and could only run away, yet Nomad here was able to come fight his way.”
This time, the Evernight Fiend King didn’t retort, but his expression became slightly gloomy because, despite his unwillingness, he somewhat agreed with the Evernight Demon King.
On the other hand, the Evernight Devil King’s eyes narrowed as he again thought about his encounter with Nomad. He again felt something was wrong.
“What are you suggesting here, third sister? Do you think Nomad fooled the Evernight Evaluation Platform?” The Evernight Devil King impassively asked without revealing his own thoughts.
A sharp glimmer flickered in her demonic eyes as she faintly said, “Probably…”
“Absurd!” The Evernight Fiend King retorted in disapproval instantly, “Have you both gone senile? Are you doubting one of the legacy treasures of our Evernight Council now just because of some brat’s dumb luck? Or do you both believe that miscreant has means even our Evernight Sanctuary couldn’t comprehend? Utterly ridiculous!”
The Devil King said nothing at Evernight Fiend King’s fiery questions, but the mist around his throne thickened because he agreed with the latter as well, even if he felt something was wrong because of his belief in the Evernight Sanctuary!
The dark-crimson glyphs on Evernight Demon King’s throne flickered sharply as she said ambiguously, “Maybe I’m thinking too much. But wouldn’t we know if there’s something really wrong with Nomad if he were able to overcome this absurd trial thrown by Eldest Senior Brother?”
A faint, cruel smile surfaced on his lips, “I have to admit, Eldest Senior Brother has really thought of an excellent method to cull talents from other organizations of Abyssal Plains as well as get rid of the scourge amid our ranks!”
The Evernight Fiend King’s expression lessened a bit as he nodded, “It’s only natural. Some of those inferior beings are starting to jump around, so I thought I’d give them a chance to ’jump’ and see how high they can go.”
Killing intent flashed in his infernal eyes, “Moreover, if that Cult of Undying Star is really planning something, they won’t sit around and let this chance go by, and probably expose themselves. We’ll get rid of everything with just this trial!”
The Evernight Devil King nodded in agreement as he praised, “As expected of First Brother, you have considered everything. Even I haven’t thought about using the Secret Realm of Undead Race like this.”
The Evernight Fiend King flashed a shrewd smile, “I’ve told you both, this trial is going to be one of a kind. Hmph, if those inferior beings think that it is so easy to enter the Evernight Sanctuary, they are thoroughly mistaken. I’ll let them die without proper graves!”
“I hope you have instructed the Undead Race thoroughly about not going overboard on our members.” The Evernight Demon King implied in a deep tone.
The Evernight Fiend King chuckled, “Don’t worry, everything is meticulously designed. ’Full-Moon Hunters’ won’t be harmed in any way, but it won’t hurt to give them some stimulation to whip out their latent talent.”
“Then I’m relieved.” The Evernight Demon King flashed a charming smile as she again looked at Nomad’s projection, who had begun to move, and her white eyes seemed to be flickering in an azure hue as she cryptically muttered, “Changes are coming, and at the center of it all is that boy!”
