- Chapter 3002 1641: The Bustling Marketplace (Part 2)

“If Your Excellency insists on thinking this way, there’s nothing I can do.”
At the center of the crowd, Leo Ray maintained his usual indifferent expression, continuing calmly, “But ultimately, this is my own matter, and I don’t need others to meddle.”
The main reason Leo Ray chose to confront him directly was due to three factors.
Firstly, there are so many independent powerhouses about to join watching, so naturally, I can’t yield. Otherwise, it will certainly unsettle these independent powerhouses, and they might choose to withdraw instead of joining.
After all, I am the master of the Fortress Alliance, the Emperor of the Human Race, the king of kings over the Second and Third-tier powers of the Outer Region, whereas he is merely an advanced noble of the Light Elves, not equal in status at all.
Under such circumstances, if even I show signs of backing down, then how can the Fortress Alliance deal with these first-class forces in the future?
With my current strength, although I can’t contend with any first-class forces, I’m not entirely without the means to fight back.
Secondly, from what I know, the situation of the Light Elves is similar to the Forest Elves, made up of multiple kingdoms, and he is just one branch among them, unable to represent the stance of the entire Light Elves.
Moreover, the situation now is that Light Elves are focused entirely on confronting the Dark Elves, both sides deploying grand armies at their boundaries, reaching a point where conflict could erupt at any moment, unlike the Forest Elves who are conserving strength and reserves. Hence, they pose far less of a threat to me.
Thirdly, through the quiet introduction of Lila and others, I’ve learned of his identity: he’s merely an army commander of the Light Elves, an ordinary advanced noble of the Light Elves, not holding much sway, ranked not significantly higher than the Silver Maple Forest Guardian.
With these three points in mind, I naturally will not retreat.
“Emperor of the Human Race, do you intend to challenge us, these first-class forces?”
The Light Elf evidently did not expect Leo Ray to be so bold. While caught off guard, his originally elegant and handsome face instantly darkened.
Leo Ray was right. He is just an ordinary advanced noble of the Light Elves, practically powerless to do anything, unable to influence the attitudes of the Light Elves toward Leo Ray. He had spoken earlier recklessly, out of habit of arrogant tyranny, thinking he could suppress Leo Ray this time too.
Helpless, he then dragged the entire first-class force into the conversation, attempting to intimidate Leo Ray.
Witnessing this scene, the surrounding independent powerhouses couldn’t help but swallow nervously.
Though they wouldn’t understand the psychological game between Leo Ray and him, they clearly knew the opponent was a prestigious guest representing the Light Elves, truly a first-class force.
Even if Your Majesty of the Human is formidable, he’s but the leader of a second-tier power. The significant disparity is self-evident, especially given how domineering the opponent is?
If the petite and exquisite Forest Elf powerhouse were present, perhaps they might have suppressed him more successfully, but now, Your Majesty seems bound to lose.
Hearing him agitatedly drag out the whole first-class forces again, Leo Ray felt amused, realizing that he couldn’t represent the Light Elves, let alone the entire first-class forces.
Just as Leo Ray was collecting his thoughts, preparing to retaliate directly, another unfamiliar crisp female voice rang out.
“With your humbling status, do you dare represent entire first-class forces to converse with Your Majesty of the Humans? It’s utterly laughable!”
Upon hearing someone verbalize his thoughts directly, Leo Ray looked towards the source of the voice.
He saw another squad of Elven powerhouses appearing not far away, their attire noticeably different from Light Elves or Forest Elves, all clad mostly in black, with most of them even wearing black face guards, revealing only a pair of long pointed ears.
Leading them was a female elf dressed in black leather armor, without a black face guard, whose fair and exquisite face emitted sophisticated charm, undoubtedly the source of the voice earlier.
Thus, the identity of the newcomers was obvious—they were a squad of Dark Elf powerhouses.
While observing them, Leo Ray distinctly felt Anna beside him tremble slightly.
This was understandable, as Anna, having both Light Elf and Dark Elf bloodlines, seeing them both after such a long interval, naturally led to inner turmoil.
Leo Ray gently patted Anna’s shoulder at first and then a hint of puzzlement appeared on his face.
This squad of Dark Elves seemed to be speaking on my behalf, yet besides Elusa and Teresa, I have no ties with Dark Elves. Moreover, the sisters Elusa have no sway within their clan, so it’s unlikely they would choose to support me voluntarily.
But on second thought, Leo Ray quickly understood.
The Light Elves and Dark Elves are long-standing rivals, viewing each other as mortal enemies. Therefore, perhaps this squad of Dark Elf powerhouses does not stand by my side but merely disapproves of the Light Elves.
“I didn’t expect Your Majesty of the Humans to gain support from the Dark Elves!”
Those independent powerhouses wouldn’t realize this truth and began to rejoice anew.
First the Forest Elf powerhouses, then the Dark Elf powerhouses; Your Majesty of the Humans seems far more formidable than meets the eye!
On the contrary, the complexion of the Light Elf started turning blue and then purple, evidently not anticipating that the Dark Elves would voice support for Leo Ray, even using an honorific towards him.
