Genetic Ascension - Chapter 2101 Still?

Sylas ignored their gazes, looking toward Leia who was still in meditation, then toward Fanelei.
“Come with me. We have something to do. It might be more involved than I’m expecting and may require some experts of the Analei. That will depend.”
Fanelei blinked, but then slowly nodded.
“What about Leia?”
“Her path is her own now. I only needed her to help find the location of the Glutton.”
Fanelei looked toward Leia, a bit worried. Though she knew Sylas had done this to help her, she didn’t want to ruin her granddaughter either. The path of Gluttony had ruined her, and Leia was a lot more immature now than she had been back then.
“If you want to spare her the fate, then you will need to form the Virtue.” Sylas said as though it was just another Sunday morning.
Fanelei’s lip twitched.
Forming a Virtue was basically unheard of. Sylas managing to form two of them on his own was already ridiculous.
No, really, it was his Pride that was absolutely ridiculous, that and his talent. Because of that, he had managed to form the Lust Seed by happenstance, only because he had experienced the Lust that came with evolution so many times.
It was also because of the Lust Seed that Sylas had been able to grasp the Will of Evolution so easily as well. The moment he saw the puppet, he knew exactly what he was looking for because he had already sensed it before.
But, there was hope. If a weakling like Keyesen could form the Greed Seed, then there would always be a chance.
Of course, Fanelei wasn’t foolish enough to think that was a coincidence.
Keyesen was an extremely unique case, one where his God Spirits were the literal incarnation of the original Scorpion. And all things considered, Keyesen wasn’t a nice person, but he had his own bottom lines… If not, he would have never threatened to kill his own Ancestor for the insult of making him lie to deal with Sylas.
But ultimately, Keyesen himself was only 5% of the credit, if that. His Race and the fact the Scorpion of Greed was birthed from a mutation within him was the real reason he had formed the Greed Seed.
Now… Fanelei just had to try to find a way to do the exact same thing.
She had built her other six lives all around the intention of becoming the one True Disciple of Gluttony. But even then, that would have been the Sin.
If she somehow managed to become a Virtue Disciple instead…
Well, if her first plan had succeeded, Fanelei felt that she would be thousands of times more powerful than she was now.
If she somehow formed a Virtue Seed instead…
She might be able to reach the S-tier.
Her heart beat rapidly in her chest and she found herself following after Sylas as though a leash was pulling against her neck.
Whether for her granddaughter or herself, she had to succeed no matter what.
“Wait!”
Beros pulled himself out from under Ouiala and the others, stumbling to his feet and looking at Sylas.
“I want to fight you!”
Sylas looked back, not because he cared, but for the same reason he had saved all of the people here.
He needed the Weaver Guild to cooperate with him. The first step to that was getting the Analei to firmly stand on his side from top to bottom, and that was why he was fixing Fanelei.
But it also meant that the other families here had to also have a somewhat good impression of him.
Leaving them to die in the middle of a battle while he vanished wasn’t going to do that.
But ignoring Beros also wouldn’t help with that.
That said, he wasn’t going to waste time taking on any challenges either.
“Do you know what I just did?” Sylas asked.
Beros blinked, too simple minded to understand what Sylas was saying.
“Where are you now?” Sylas asked again.
Beros looked around. “A building?”
“A building in the Analei’s compound.”
Beros blinked again, not understanding.
“What distance do you think we had to travel to make it here?” Sylas asked, being oddly patient.
“… Very far?”
“And how do you think we did that?”
“… A treasure?”
“Is that so?”
“What treasure do you think is capable of that?”
“One you got from the dungeon.”
Sylas nodded. It seemed that Beros wasn’t actually all that simple minded at all. Well… sort of.
“It’s a good guess.”
“Guess?”
“We didn’t use a treasure to come here. I brought you here myself. With Rune Mastery that took advantage of a spatial tunnel already torn open by another.”
Beros’ eyes lit up when he heard Rune Mastery.
“Really? How?”
Sylas pointed a finger and space rippled.
All of a sudden, a black portal was torn through the space and a picture of the chaotic battle scene on the other side appeared.
Limbs flew through the depths of space and carnage ripped through the fighters.
Many youths were caught up in the crossfire, but even A-tiers weren’t spared as the chaotic booming and tearing violence shook the entire galaxy.
Seemingly sensing something, every one of them looked toward the portal that had just appeared, their eyes widening.
BOOM.
They rushed forward, but Sylas’ hand twisted and the portal closed.
Earlier, Yamero had ripped the portal open for him. But when one thought about it, tunneling from one location to the next was almost like a form of Will Priming itself.
Yamero’s imprint was very much still there, and while Sylas could have just used his companion to escape, he chose to do things this way instead to test the extent of his new level.
He had torn the hole here himself because he could feel the distortions that lingered and take advantage of them to pull himself and everyone else away.
“Do you still want to fight me?” Sylas asked calmly.
Beros blinked, and for the first time, the other geniuses saw something unexpected from the simple-minded young man.
He shook his head no.
