Gravity Mage with Level-Up System - Chapter 1857: Counter Scheme

Chapter 1857: Counter Scheme
Crystal City-Shop
Midnight had come. As usual, I was in my room. The window was open. A dark red smoke entered through the gap.
In the blink of an eye, the dark red smoke appeared in front of me. It transformed into the Zero Puppet.
“Master,” the puppet greeted me.
I nodded to him and began to listen to his intel report. I wanted to know what was happening with Magic Lord Clint and the others.
A few minutes later, the Zero Puppet finished briefing me on everything.
I understood it all. Magic Lord Clint made use of my absence to cause damage here. His goal was to disrupt the business and damage my reputation.
If I were to go and seek trouble with him now, then his final goal would be achieved. He could create another problem with that.
A hint of unwillingness appeared in my heart. I didn’t want to let him go like that. He had attacked my members. They were hurt.
“Maybe he expected this already. That’s why he was provoking me,” I said to myself.
The Zero Puppet stood in front of me.
“Did you hear anything else?” I asked.
The Zero Puppet shook his head. I nodded before putting the puppet away inside the Gregor Mansion.
The Zero Puppet provided me with crucial information. I calmed my heart and tried to rethink. I was going to get revenge, but not right away.
“Magic Lord Clint,” I mumbled.
Then I thought of the informer. I collected my thoughts and left the room, heading to the terrace.
I waited for the informer to come. It didn’t take long for the black-clad wizard to arrive. I wondered what intel he was going to share.
The informer stood in front of me.
“Wizard Vincent, everyone is looking forward to your next move. Your next move will decide their actions,” he said.
Hearing that, I felt it was consistent with the Zero Puppet’s words.
“If you seek revenge, then the wizard families and other forces are ready to go against you,” the informer said.
“Their ultimate aim is to shut down the shop so that the growing influence of the Silver Tower can be stopped.”
“Some of the wizard families want to recruit Appraiser Frank at any cost. So, they are looking for his weakness. They have already sent spies to find his whereabouts,” he added.
I raised my eyebrows in surprise. This was new. These people were targeting my alternative identity now. I had almost forgotten about it.
So, they wanted to dismantle everything.
“Hmph,” I gave a cold snort.
But I didn’t make any comments. The informer is working for the Infinite Wizard Association. He will tell their leader.
“Is that all?” I asked.
“Yes,” the informer replied.
Then I gave him permission to leave. When he was gone from the place, I almost thought of releasing the Zero Puppet to follow him.
I withdrew the thought at the last moment. I decided to investigate some other day.
I stood there. No new ideas came to mind. If I took any drastic steps now, I felt I could fall into a trap.
Manager Lara had advised me to get help from the Forbidden Wizards. But I was already indebted to them. I didn’t want to owe them more.
Besides, I’m not an ordinary member. I’m a Supreme Wizard. If it were before, I would have avoided direct confrontation.
Now, I don’t want to run away anymore. I’m going to face it. If Magic Lord Clint dares to continue with the provocation, then I’m going to use the same method.
Finally, a plan formed in my mind. With a smile on my face, I returned to the room.
Early the next morning,
I got out of bed and left the room. I came downstairs and woke up old man Rock. Hank and Patrick were still asleep.
“Master, what is it?” old man Rock asked.
He was surprised that Master Vincent was awake this early.
“Rock, I told you that I’m going to get revenge. I thought of a plan,” I said with a smile.
Hearing that, Rock was taken aback. He was genuinely surprised. He had been thinking Master Vincent’s hands were tied.
He thought the Master wouldn’t be able to do anything.
“I’m going to invite one of the media reporters here. He will be here in disguise as our staff. If Magic Lord Clint dares to cause problems, he will start live broadcasting everything,” I told my plan to the old man.
Old man Rock heard it and liked the idea.
“Master, this will work,” old man Rock said.
“Yes, since the members are injured, I can use the media person as new staff. Clint won’t be able to find anything amiss,” I said.
“But where are we going to find the media person?” Rock asked.
“I have someone in mind who can help me with it.” After saying that, I phoned Elder Blake and asked him to visit me alone right now.
Blake was shocked, but he agreed to come.
Old man Rock heard the conversation and connected the dots. He didn’t expect Master Vincent to come up with such a good idea in such a short time.
If the truth were revealed, then the Green Elemental Tower would face the backlash, whereas their shop’s name would be saved.
A few minutes later, Elder Blake arrived alone. He didn’t tell anyone, including the officials. Blake saw both of us and was clueless, so I explained my plan to him.
Blake showed a rare emotion; he was smiling. He liked the plan. He was fed up with the Green Elemental Tower Wizards acting like guests here.
“Wizard Vincent, your idea is going to work. I can’t wait to drive these people away. I’ll contact my trusted friend.”
“He is from one of the local media houses. He will help us achieve the goal,” Blake said in an excited tone.
Old man Rock and I looked at each other.
“Master, they are going to fall into your trap, not you,” Rock said from the side.
“Alright, everything needs to be done secretly. I’m going to open the shop later today. We have to be ready before that,” I said to them.
