Chapter 1875: Part 3: A fight to save her

The middle-aged man struggled hard to get up onto his feet. He was hurt and bleeding. His face showed a moment of realization; he knew he had kicked an iron plate.

He mustered up his courage and used his magic power. Dark mana surged forth from his body. It covered his entire body in the blink of an eye.

Seeing that the middle-aged man was about to flee, I cast:

“Gravity Field”

I cast the instant magic spell and controlled its range. The gravitational field appeared the next moment.

The field was basic, without any amplification. Yet, the pressure was powerful. It was immediately applied to the middle-aged man.

Crack!

A loud, deafening sound occurred. The brown-haired middle-aged man’s armor began to crack under the pressure.

Puchak!

The middle-aged man coughed up blood. His already injured internal organs began to worsen.

The middle-aged man was terrified. The dark mana which covered his body was being suppressed by the overwhelming pressure.

“What’s going on?” he asked himself.

He felt the magic spell attack was at the level of a Level-10 Wizard. He believed he was fighting against a Supreme Wizard.

Because of the gap in strength, the pressure was so overwhelming that he felt he was being destroyed. His internal organs were failing.

The internal organs of Supreme Wizards are very strong. Normally, they wouldn’t be hurt by attacks from Supreme Wizards and below.

But there are exceptions. He knows there are wizards with rare magic powers who can fight across levels.

The middle-aged man thought he had encountered someone like that. He didn’t know what this unknown pressure weighing down on him was.

Puchak!

Blood spurted from his injuries. He realized the pressure had just increased, which sent further cold chills down his spine.

He realized that he couldn’t handle the pressure anymore. He turned toward the stranger. His eyes showed a pleading look.

Boom!

Seeing that, I cancelled the gravitational pressure.

The next second, the gravitational pressure was gone from the place.

Gasp!

The brown-haired middle-aged man started gasping for breath. He looked at his condition. His black armor now looked like blood armor.

The black armor had dents all over it. Blood was leaking from his injuries.

Seeing how injured he was, his eyes filled with fear. He was not going to be arrogant now.

I smiled and looked at him. I didn’t know the language, so I guessed I would have to communicate with hand gestures.

Then, I started using the help of the System to communicate with the middle-aged man.

The brown-haired middle-aged man misunderstood something. He started emptying his storage bracelet.

He took all the stuff out and poured it onto the ground. Miscellaneous items were scattered across the floor.

Seeing that, I was stunned. I wasn’t asking for that. The person had misunderstood. Just as I thought about using a hand gesture:

[Ding! Super relic detected.]

[Ding! The host is advised to use the item to upgrade the system.]

The System’s voice sounded in my mind. Hearing that, I was stunned. My gaze swept across the place.

I didn’t know which one was the super relic. My heart started racing. I hadn’t dreamt of finding another relic so soon.

I hadn’t even completed one end of the trip yet, and I was already able to come across a super relic.

Using the help of the System again, I found a silver circular disk. The small circular disk could be held in one’s palm.

It was the first time I was seeing such a relic.

Before the middle-aged man could realize anything, I picked up the circular disk and a few other treasures before putting them inside the System space.

The middle-aged man was not surprised. He thought the stranger had collected the treasures into a storage bracelet.

In fact, he relaxed. If the stranger’s intention was to rob him, he was happy to give away all the treasure.

He had some unknown stuff, including the silver disk. He didn’t know their origins, so he had ignored them.

“System, use the super relic to update,” I said to the System.

[Ding! Command received.]

[Ding! Super relic consumed.]

The System voice sounded in my mind. Hearing that, I sighed in relief. I looked at the middle-aged man. My earlier anger had disappeared.

This middle-aged man had brought me an unexpected surprise.

As time passed, I waited for the update to finish. On the other hand, the middle-aged man was terrified. He didn’t dare to move an inch.

He was afraid that if he tried to call for help, he would be hit by the same pressure again. He didn’t want to experience that.

He was already under pressure. His internal organs were badly hurt, and he was bleeding heavily. If it continued, he would bleed to death.

He needed urgent treatment right now. The middle-aged man looked here and there, searching for a way out.

He saw the stranger lost in thought. The stranger was staring at an empty space. He thought the stranger was dangerously contemplating something.

On the other hand, I continued to wait. I was in no hurry to end the middle-aged man’s life.

Shortly afterward, someone else appeared. He walked into the place. It was none other than the old man.

My eyes flashed with relief. I was expecting his arrival. Fortunately, he was here. He could interrogate the middle-aged man.

The old man saw that someone was hurt and lying on the ground. The person was badly injured and bleeding heavily.

The old man recognized the person in the black armor. His eyes reddened with anger. He rushed to the side of the injured person.

The injured middle-aged man was half-conscious, but he could see the silhouette of the old man.

He seemed to recognize the outline of the figure. The middle-aged man understood that the person was a relative of the girl.

He shuddered. Because the old man was no ordinary person. He was a Magic Lord. The brown-haired middle-aged man was truly scared now.
