Gravity Mage with Level-Up System - Chapter 1960: Part 3: Gold City Auction

Gold City
I paid the fare to the driver before going inside the restaurant. I saw there was a good crowd inside. It wouldn’t be long before there would be chaos.
I made my way towards the storeroom. The shop manager was nowhere to be seen. Everyone here was busy discussing the auction.
No one stopped me. The staff were busy with their work. I opened the storeroom and entered inside. There were food materials inside.
Swoosh!
But I appeared inside the Gregor Mansion hall. The next second, I saw the zero puppet.
“Master, here is the token,” the Zero puppet said before giving me the token.
I accepted the black token and decided to enter the practice mode.
“I’m going to practice. Just monitor the mirror,” I said to the puppet.
The zero puppet agreed. Then I appeared inside the system space. There was a blue grid all around me. It’s a nice place. Extremely quiet here.
Then I sat cross-legged on the ground. I took the black token in my palm and poured my mana power into it.
Boom!
The next second, the black token glowed in white light before a white, mist-like power began to flow from it. In the blink of an eye, the white mist power completely enveloped me.
[Ding! The host has obtained the treasure.]
[Ding! The host has entered a mysterious state. It’s a special state to comprehend the magic rule.]
The system voice sounded in my mind. Hearing that, I understood. I didn’t waste time and began to comprehend the magic rule.
I started by paying attention to the hidden runes in my body. The forbidden runes in my bones helped me to enter the state of full concentration.
Meanwhile,
Inside the Auction House, a monstrous coercion was coming from the third floor. Not from one room, but from the rest of the rooms as well.
All the V.I.Ps inside the rooms were enraged. They were angry that they were given false information to attend the auction.
The important wizards on the second floor were under immense pressure. Unlike the wizards on the first floor, they had decided to stay back to watch the last auction item.
But things had gone south. They were worried that they would be caught in the crossfire if any fight were to break out here.
On the other hand, Auctioneer Martin was interrogating the staff. He was asking whether anyone else had entered the room.
But the answers of all the staff were the same. Martin didn’t know what to say. Before the auction, he himself had seen the treasure token.
If not, he would have thought the auction item was gone before coming to this room. But he had seen it with his own eyes. Yet the item was missing.
After a certain point, he stopped asking the staff. He understood that the staff were telling the truth. But it doesn’t mean that they were right.
The treasure token was stolen under their noses. It’s just that they didn’t know it. He had seen many unique magic spells before. He thought it could be the work of a wizard with unique magic.
Now that things had come to this, they couldn’t tell the truth to the guests. They could only lie about the last treasure item.
Auctioneer Martin then communicated with the Guardian Elder. The Guardian Elder was a Forbidden Wizard. But he had already taken one foot inside the Elder Level.
With him here, the guests couldn’t cause problems.
A couple of seconds later, a white-bearded old man appeared before him.
Martin saw Elder Collins. He gave a deep bow before dismissing the other staff. The staff immediately vacated the place.
Elder Collins appeared to be an old man in his seventies. His skin tone was pale and wrinkled. He looked like someone of extreme old age.
But if someone with experience appeared here, they would know that the old man was hidden as deep as a well. Extremely calm, but powerful.
Collins saw the nervous expression on Martin.
“I know what happened. Do you have a way to convince them?” he asked.
Martin nodded his head and said, “I thought of a lie.”
After saying that, he told him his plan. Hearing that, the old man’s eyes flickered. He gave a deep look at Martin.
He said, “This plan will work. Let’s go to the stage.”
Martin nodded his head. Then, both of them entered the stage. The coercion coming from the third floor met with the deep well. They weren’t able to do anything.
Old man Collins smiled and cancelled the coercion.
Boom!
The Forbidden Wizards in the third-floor rooms were all taken aback. The coercion came from so many forbidden wizards, yet they were all cancelled by the old man.
The Forbidden Wizards’ expressions changed drastically. The next second, no one caused any more trouble. The wizards on the second floor heaved a sigh of relief.
They were using their magic artifacts to alleviate the pressure. Fortunately, the old man appeared on time.
Collins swept his gaze across the place.
“I’m the Guardian Guard of the Gold City Auction House. We have encountered a serious situation. I hope the guests will be understanding.” After saying that, he turned towards Martin.
Martin collected his thoughts and stepped forward.
He said, “We received a threat from an unknown organization. They didn’t want us to auction the last item.”
“It’s not the first time for the auction house to face such threats. But this time, we received a threat from an Elder Level Powerhouse,” he added.
Gasp!
A serious exclamation sounded from the third floor. The V.I.Ps in the rooms were all shocked. Those who were angry earlier now shuddered all of a sudden.
Elder Level Powerhouses were rare. But each one of them could kill Forbidden Wizards with a snap of their fingers. At this moment, everyone was quiet.
For the wizards on the second floor, their condition was worse. Their legs were trembling. In this situation, their legs were about to give out.
They had thought that the forbidden wizards might fight, but they didn’t expect to hear of an Elder Level Powerhouse in the picture. They regretted not leaving the auction house earlier.
