- Chapter 215: Myth Buster Cultivator Version-02

On the screen, Wei Chen turned toward Jian Heng and asked,
“Vice Sect Leader Jian, regarding the theory that someone snuck into the secret realm and destroyed the core array that maintained it, what do you think about it?”
Jian Heng did not think too much and answered as he had when they were talking back at the Yun Estate.
“As I already said, the only reasonable explanation is that the one who caused the realm’s collapse was someone with meager cultivation strength who wanted revenge against the Heaven’s Spire Sanctuary. That is why they snuck in and caused the collapse,” Jian Heng explained with his usual calm demeanor.
“So, what about you, Edgelord? What do you think?” Wei Chen asked, quickly biting his tongue to stop himself from laughing at the moniker.
Hearing the question, Yun Feng looked over the deck rail toward the devastated ground below. They had already discussed this, so Yun Feng generally knew what Wei Chen thought, but in his heart, he leaned toward Jian Heng’s view.
He just wanted to confirm whether there was any trace of evil qi, a sign of demonic path cultivators, to support his assumption.
“I think the same as Vice Sect Leader Jian. There is no reason anyone, other than a demonic path cultivator, would deliberately collapse a realm to kill innocent people outside if they could avoid it,” said Yun Feng.
“Are you sure?” Wei Chen smiled, pointing at the two of them.
“Yes, I’m sure,” Jian Heng confirmed with a nod, and Yun Feng nodded along.
“No taking it back?”
The two shook their heads.
Getting their answer, Wei Chen nodded.
“That’s great. So let’s dive into what might really have happened, according to the prevailing theory that we all believe in, shall we?” Wei Chen addressed the audience.
….
Outside the screen, audiences across the three provinces were discussing the content of the broadcast.
“I think what Vice Sect Leader Jian said makes sense. What kind of person would deliberately collapse a realm and cause the deaths of innocent people if they had another way to take revenge?” one cultivator said, agreeing with Jian Heng’s view.
“Ha! Maybe some psychos just did it for fun. There are all kinds of people in the jianghu these days. Who knows what kind of madman did it, right?” another cultivator said with heavy sarcasm.
Another wise master chimed in, “But we all know that committing such sinful acts as massacring innocents will taint one’s Dao path. I don’t think any sane cultivator would do so.”
“I beg to differ. The one who destroyed it might be from the demonic path. You know, those extremists who cultivate forbidden techniques that require great sacrifices of life, such as the Blood Return Manual or the Divine Demon Blood Tide,” said another speaker, dressed in black, who seemed to be a demonic cultivator.
On the screen, Wei Chen then brought some of his men, who had been waiting in the flying ark, to fly toward the center of the crater. At the center, the crater was vast, and its smooth, mirror-like surface, like a colossal spoon that had scooped up the land, told everyone about the power of the explosion behind the realm’s collapse.
Wei Chen’s men, dressed in light armor, carried an artifact. The artifact was none other than the assembled parts of a teleportation array.
The group quickly assembled the teleportation array, and Wei Chen fed it with his spiritual qi. After it was fully powered, the light of the teleportation array lit up, and two figures appeared within it.
The first was Lian Cheng, and the second, following behind, was Jian Ganglie.
The two were dressed in strange but quite fashionable clothes. Jian Ganglie was, of course, wearing his signature style inspired by Steve Jobs, a turtleneck shirt and jeans.
As for Lian Cheng, his outfit was quite stylish. He wore a white shirt with a sleeveless black leather jacket, jeans, and a pair of leather cowboy boots. On his head was a black leather cowboy hat with a rope tied around its base, and he wore black glasses over his eyes.
Wei Chen was stunned speechless by Lian Cheng’s outfit. Wasn’t this the typical look of those casual yet genius special effects technicians, the kind of Hollywood tech experts who were good with props and effects?
Wei Chen was stunned only for a brief moment before quickly regaining his composure.
“To test the theory, I have invited two experts in arrays and artificing to join today’s broadcast,” Wei Chen began as he excitedly introduced the two.
“The first one is our man, the legend, the one who invented the U-Phone and made all this convenience possible, Jian Ganglie!” Wei Chen said as he brought Jian Ganglie forward to the center of the camera.
“Err… Mr. Wei,” Jian Ganglie spoke.
“Huh?” Wei Chen was confused. This cue was not in the script he had sent to Jian Ganglie earlier, but as a professional broadcaster, he quickly hid his confusion.
“I have changed my surname. I don’t want to be confused with Vice Sect Leader Jian. Besides, I already left the Heavenly Sword Sect a long time ago,” Jian Ganglie said.
Jian Heng’s expression turned complicated as he heard this. If not for the bet decades ago, his senior would not have had to leave the Heavenly Sword Sect.
Thinking of it now, he could only lament and admonish his younger self for his recklessness.
“Alright, Mr. Ganglie, what should we call you?” Wei Chen asked.
“I decided to follow your recommendation. I am now Jobs Ganglie. This will clearly differentiate me from people of the Heavenly Sword Sect,” Jian… no, Jobs Ganglie said with a smile.
Wei Chen was stunned.
Is this a joke?
This guy decided to use his joke as his name?
Why? Why did he do this?
Brilliant!
Wei Chen let out a jovial smile. “Oooh! Then Jobs Ganglie, the god of the U-Phone, it’s very nice to meet you!” he said, patting Jian Ganglie’s shoulder.
The chat box grew rowdy as the situation developed.
Handsome Tall and Rich: [Jobs Ganglie? I don’t know what that means, but the name has a nice ring to it.]
Little Wealthy Demon: [I bet 100,000 spirit stones, this must have something to do with that joker Wei!]
Invincible_General: [Hahaha! Is this guy serious?]
Little Butterfly: [Right now I’m on the flying ark with him. I must say, the clothes they’re wearing are nice. They seem to make movement more comfortable.]
Little Wealthy Demon: [That’s right, clothes! Chenchen, don’t forget to advertise for us! Those strange but comfortable and stylish clothes will be available at all Thousand Treasure Pavilion stores!]
Wei Chen could not help but sweat at his girlfriend’s money-grubbing nature.
But then he quickly recovered. “Okay! You all heard him! His name is Jobs Ganglie from now on! Don’t call him by his old name by mistake, folks!” Wei Chen said jokingly, making Jobs Ganglie chuckle at his humor.
Wei Chen then walked toward Lian Cheng.
“As for this one, he’s a genius artificer, the one and only in this realm who could rival those big shots in the Immortal Realm in terms of ingenuity and brilliance in creating artifacts!”
“I give you… Lian Cheng!” Wei Chen declared, as if announcing a contestant in a wrestling match.
Lian Cheng blushed red in embarrassment. He really wanted to bash this guy’s head in, but he could only think that to himself, as this man was far stronger than him.
Lian Cheng walked forward to the center of the camera and cupped his fists.
“Hello everyone, I’m Lian Cheng. (连程) It means continuous journey. It’s nice to meet everyone here,” Lian Cheng said in a calm and formal tone.
Seeing that the introductions were out of the way, Wei Chen quickly got to the point.
“So… Mr. Lian, Mr. Jobs, do the two of you think the theory that someone snuck into the secret realm housing the Heaven’s Spire Sanctuary to destroy the core of the realm is possible?”
Lian Cheng let out a chuckle, while Jobs Ganglie shook his head after hearing the question.
“No… that’s impossible,” Jobs Ganglie said first.
“That’s right,” Lian Cheng added. “In a case like this, in the lower realm, it’s impossible for this theory to be true.”
“May I ask why?”
Lian Cheng and Jobs Ganglie looked at each other, as if deciding who should answer. In the end, Lian Cheng allowed Jobs Ganglie to speak first.
“That’s because it’s practically impossible. Secret realms, especially those that house hidden sects, even low-level ones like the Heaven’s Spire Sanctuary, will absolutely have alarm systems that warn the inhabitants of the realm, alerting them to any threat.”
“Moreover, this kind of secret realm will have a key, a key that allows outsiders to enter. This key will also notify the people inside the realm whenever someone uses it to enter.”
“The only way anyone could enter without the knowledge of the realm’s owner is if they are at least in the Void Refining Realm and are very proficient in space-based cultivation or space-based techniques,” Jobs Ganglie concluded.
