I Became the Rich Second-Generation Villain - Chapter 413: Green Enough to Glow

The moment every gaze in the room turned toward her, Yun Churan felt a sharp chill crawl up her spine, as though a thousand invisible needles pressed against her back.
She glared at Wang Haoran with barely contained fury, her composure cracking because of that single drunken sentence that had slipped from his mouth. If that fool had not blurted out such nonsense, she never would have shown even a flicker of panic, and no one would be staring at her with suspicion now.
For a heartbeat, she truly wished she could walk over and strike that drunken troublemaker across the face.
But anger was not the thing weighing most heavily on her chest. What truly terrified Yun Churan was the possibility that her secret would be exposed here and now.
Trying to steady her breathing, she forced herself to appear calm, clinging to the faintest hope that this disaster might yet pass her by.
Yan Yuntian studied Yun Churan’s expression with a long, deep look before he spoke, his voice heavy as he addressed Bian Suwen.
“Churan is unwell. Divine Doctor, I must trouble you to check her pulse.”
“A small matter,” Bian Suwen replied gently.
She and Wang Haoran had already coordinated their plan beforehand. Even if Yan Yuntian had not spoken, she intended to act. His request simply saved her the trouble of creating an excuse.
“Please sit.”
Bian Suwen settled onto a small wooden stool and motioned for Yun Churan to come closer.
Yun Churan wished desperately to refuse, but doing so would only make her guilt appear more obvious. She quietly crossed the room and sat down, placing her arm on the table beside the divine doctor.
Her heartbeat hammered wildly, yet she held to one fragile hope: it had been less than half a month since the incident. Even if she truly was pregnant, the pulse might not reveal anything yet.
As that thought circled in her mind, Bian Suwen’s fingertips settled onto her pale wrist, and the room immediately fell into a tense, suffocating silence as everyone waited for the verdict.
After several moments, Bian Suwen slowly withdrew her hand.
“How is she?” Yan Yuntian immediately asked.
With a gentle smile, Bian Suwen looked his way. “It is a joyous matter. Congratulations.” Then she suddenly paused, as if remembering something, and her expression shifted into one of apologetic realization.
“Forgive me. I nearly forgot. Miss Churan has been pregnant for less than half a month, and your injuries… my apologies, truly.”
Her voice was filled with contrition, the perfect image of a doctor regretting a careless slip of the tongue.
Wang Haoran, listening from the side, almost laughed outright and gave Bian Suwen a secret thumbs‑up in his heart before turning his gaze toward Yan Yuntian’s increasingly distorted expression.
Yan Yuntian felt as if a thousand‑pound boulder had been dropped onto his skull. His mind went blank.

【Yan Yuntian’s Protagonist Halo has dropped below 2000. His Fatal Damage Rebound Halo has been disabled.】
Wang Haoran absorbed the cascade of rewards with satisfaction. With all of Yan Yuntian’s halos stripped away, removing him would now be laughably easy.
“Speak. Who is it? Whose child is it?!” Yan Yuntian’s face twisted with rage, his voice cracking as he shouted at Yun Churan.
When Ning Aixue and Feng Anna broke off their engagements, he had endured it. He felt disappointed, yes, but he could accept it. After all, he had never held impossibly high expectations for them.
But Yun Churan was different. She was his chosen main wife, the one he placed his hopes upon, the woman he believed would never betray him. And yet, she had gone further than Ning Aixue or Feng Anna ever did. They only annulled engagements.
Yun Churan actually got pregnant.
His humiliation burned like acid.
Yun Churan met his furious eyes in silence. She was the victim of a scheme and bore no fault, yet with Yan Yuntian’s temper, explaining would change nothing. Whether she had been coerced or not, he would only see disgrace.
Knowing this, she refused to waste breath on empty arguments.
“Mother, kill her! Kill her!” Yan Yuntian cried, unable to move himself and wishing to borrow Feng Rao’s hands.
“Churan is still young. Perhaps it was a moment of recklessness. There is no need to take her life.” Feng Rao remained still, making no move whatsoever.
She was not being softhearted. She was protecting the interests of Fengxi Sect. Yun Churan’s backing was a sect no weaker than Fengxi Sect itself. Not only that, she was the sect’s cherished daughter, someone whose status could not be dismissed.
Killing her would forge an irreparable blood feud, one that Fengxi Scet could not afford. Moreover, Wang Haoran was present. She would never make a choice that displeased him.
“Mother, you—!” Yan Yuntian choked before turning toward Yan Feipeng. “Father, kill her! Kill her!”
Yan Feipeng’s temper had already been simmering, and his anger at Yun Churan’s situation pushed him close to losing control. The moment his son shouted, murderous intent surged through him.
But the instant that intent emerged, Feng Rao’s cold, cutting gaze swept toward him.
Yan Feipeng deflated like a pierced balloon, all strength draining from his limbs as he froze in place. He understood perfectly well why she intervened. If he killed Yun Churan, the blame would fall squarely on Fengxi Sect, and Feng Rao would never allow such a disaster.
So Yan Feipeng pretended to be deaf, ignoring Yan Yuntian completely.
Yan Yuntian thrashed in frustration, powerless to act, yet deep in his heart, he vowed that once his wounds healed, he would personally kill Yun Churan, regardless of the consequences. If his mother did not consider his feelings, why should he consider hers?
“Churan,” Feng Rao finally spoke again, “I can let this matter go. But this concerns the reputation of Fengxi Sect, so it must be handled carefully.”
Yan Yuntian was the young master of Fengxi Sect. For the young master to be cuckolded, the entire sect would be disgraced.
“I understand, Aunt Rao,” Yun Churan answered softly, deeply grateful despite her turmoil. Yet her thoughts were chaotic, and she could not think of a solution. She hesitated before asking, “May I hear your suggestions?”
“I will give you two options,” Feng Rao said after a short pause.
“First, do not let this pregnancy be known. Since it is still early, you may quietly remove the child while there is time.”
“Second, annul your engagement. Then marry someone else as soon as possible. When the child is born, it will have a legitimate explanation, and there will be no gossip.”
“Either choice protects Fengxi Sect and your sect. The decision is yours.”
Yun Churan nodded slowly, genuinely impressed by how cleanly and realistically Feng Rao addressed the problem. Yet choosing was not easy. She hated the man who harmed her, and she hated the child growing in her womb. Part of her wanted to erase it.
But the child was innocent. It was still a life.
Caught between torment and guilt, Yun Churan fell into painful hesitation.
