Idle Tycoon System - Chapter 437: Married Couple

During the night, Noah consummated his marriage with the beautiful succubus he had grown to love during his time with her. The night was long for the new couple, but it was the start of something new.
The morning light filtered through the ornate windows of the royal chambers, casting golden light across the silk sheets.
Noah stirred awake from the royal bed.
His nose twitched, smelling something rather familiar.
Eggs, toasted bread, and something that smelled remarkably like the coffee he’d grown accustomed to. His eyes opened fully as confusion mixed with pleasant surprise.
He sat up to find a small table had been set beside the bed, laden with a carefully prepared breakfast. Scrambled eggs with herbs, toasted bread with what appeared to be honey, sliced fruits arranged with obvious care, and a steaming cup of something dark and aromatic.
Lola stood beside the table with a small, proud smile on her face. She wore simple comfortable clothes rather than her typical battle-ready attire, and her hair fell loosely around her shoulders.
Noah stared at the carefully prepared meal, touched by the unexpected gesture of his wife. “When did you learn how to make all this?”
Lola giggled, the sound lighter and more carefree than he’d ever heard from her before. She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear with uncharacteristic shyness. “I didn’t spend all that time in the human kingdom for nothing, you know. Gotta make sure my handsome husband eats well.”
Noah’s expression warmed as he looked between her and the breakfast. “You’ve been secretly learning to cook this entire time?”
“Maybe,” she replied with a playful smile, sitting on the edge of the bed and picking up a fork. “Now eat before it gets cold.”
Noah laughed softly. He took the offered fork and tried the eggs, his eyes widening slightly. “These are actually really good.”
Lola’s smile could have illuminated the entire palace, perhaps kingdom. “Of course they are. I practiced for days.”
“You practiced?” Noah raised an eyebrow. “On who?”
“Leo mostly,” she admitted. “He never complained.”
Noah laughed again, “You fed experimental cooking to the lion.”
“He loved it,” Lola said defensively, though her giggling betrayed her. “Besides, look how it turned out. Perfect eggs.”
They sat together in comfortable morning silence as Noah worked through the breakfast, Lola occasionally stealing pieces of fruit from his plate with completely unrepentant shamelessness.
“A queen who steals breakfast, I thought that was mine.”
“A king who complains about it, hmph!”
“I’m not a king.”
“You are right,” Lola replied, her ruby eyes meeting his with warmth that went far deeper than teasing. “But you built everything that made yesterday possible. That makes you more than a king in my eyes. You are an emperor, my emperor.”
Noah set down his fork and looked at her properly. “We did it together.”
Lola smiled softly, all pretense of playfulness dropping for a moment. “We did it together,” she agreed quietly.
Outside, the demon kingdom stirred to life under its rightful queen for the first time in years. But inside the royal chambers, two newly married couple simply shared breakfast.
After they finished breakfast, a sharp knock on the chamber door shattered the peaceful morning atmosphere.
Lola’s expression contorted with obvious displeasure. She had been enjoying rare quality time with Noah—they had literally just gotten married less than twenty-four hours ago—and already the outside world was intruding on their private chambers. Her small tail swished with irritation.
“Your Highness! It’s an emergency!”
Noah’s face darkened as he rose from the table. He walked toward the door and opened it, finding a royal guard standing there with urgent distress written across his face.
“What’s wrong?” Noah asked directly.
The guard was momentarily taken aback for a moment before he composed himself quickly. “My king, two elves have arrived at our kingdom’s gates asking about a succubus—our queen—linking her with a human companion. They claim you both operated a mysterious shop together. They are very clearly talking about you both.”
Noah glanced back at Lola, whose irritation had transformed into alertness. Her eyes met his with immediate understanding.
Darian’s search had reached the demon kingdom.
“Okay,” Noah said calmly to the guard. “You may return to your post. We will deal with this now.”
The guard exhaled visibly with relief, clearly grateful that the new king wasn’t panicking. “Thank you, my king. They are near the eastern market district.”
Noah closed the chamber door and turned toward the window. No further discussion was needed between him and Lola—they were already moving together with purpose.
They flew outside through the window, the cold wind greeting them as they rose above the royal palace. Noah immediately extended his aura outward, letting his peak grandmaster-level perception sweep across the entire kingdom in a wide-ranging scan.
Within seconds he locked onto two distinct auras—powerful, and refined. They were walking through the eastern market district with arrogance, their hoods pulled low while they interrogated terrified demon merchants about the queen and her human companion.
Noah’s eyes fixed on their location.
Without hesitation, he shot forward.
He crossed the distance between the palace and the eastern market in less time than a heartbeat, his wind manipulation propelling him at speeds that made his passage visible only as a blur.
He arrived directly above them and dropped.
His hands shot out simultaneously, fingers closing around both elves’ throats mid-stride before either could register his presence. The sheer speed and force of his arrival sent shockwaves rippling outward, scattering market stalls and sending nearby demons scrambling backward in shock.
Noah held both elves suspended in the air, their feet dangling above the ground as he examined them with cold eyes. Both had their hoods knocked back from his arrival, revealing high elven features twisted between shock and outrage.
Two grandmasters.
Darian’s scouts, clearly. Experienced fighters whose auras confirmed their rank even as their bodies struggled uselessly against his grip.
Noah studied them for a moment, then said, “Two grandmaster elves, walking into my wife’s kingdom uninvited. Asking about her. Asking about me.” His eyes flashed with dangerous light. “That is quite daring.”
