Lord of Prayer - Chapter 255 - 184: Simple and Brutal Unboxing

Chapter 255: Chapter 184: Simple and Brutal Unboxing
During their pre-battle planning, the Crimson Sect had speculated that the Blood Race’s stronghold contained at least five Counts and, very likely, a hidden Prince.
The Crimson Sect knew that “Eternal Life” was a lie from start to finish, but the Blood Race did not. In pursuit of the immortality they craved, the clan of the Ring of Authority would undoubtedly spare no effort to investigate the Eternal Life Project. They had even sent the current Saint Child, so deploying a Prince was only logical.
That was why the Grand Steward, the “Puppet Master,” had to take action himself. Otherwise, the Stewards of the Crimson Sect alone would be no match for a Blood Royal Prince.
The fierce battle erupting between the Puppet Master and the Blood Royal Prince was the exact situation Zhou Chen had been waiting for. ’With both sides’ top-tier combatants preoccupied, in such a chaotic scene, who’s going to notice an insignificant nobody who has barely made a peep?’
BOOM!
A massive bolt of lightning struck from thin air, and a deafening thunderclap echoed through the hall. The immense sound felt as if it could shatter a soul to dust. This was an Extraordinary Ability unleashed by a male puppet with a gloomy face. Bolt after bolt of lightning shot out, splitting into countless forked tendrils and forming a terrifying electrical storm.
Tyrannical serpents of electricity twisted and writhed, releasing a palpable aura of destruction. They left scorched “scars” across the hall. Any Blood Race members within range were either torn to shreds by the thunderbolts or riddled with holes by the lightning, turning into charred husks.
The Blood Royal Prince, Lucius, was shrouded in a deep black mist that seemed like a bottomless Abyss. The mist suddenly expanded, devouring the entire electrical storm. The nails on his right hand shot out like sharp daggers, and the skin of his palm turned pitch-black, emanating a thick aura of death.
He reached out his palm, and the Claw of Death ignored the distance between them, appearing directly before the Puppet Master—as long as he killed the Puppet Master, the puppets would naturally lose control.
The Puppet Master vanished abruptly, replaced by the bronze-skinned strongman. With a furious roar, the puppet’s frame shot up by two feet, his muscles swelled, and a bronze light flowed across the surface of his body.
The Claw of Death collided with the body of flesh and blood, creating the clang of steel and a shower of sparks. A bloody hole was gouged into the bronze strongman, leaving behind an aura of death and decay. The flesh around the wound withered at a visible rate, and the bronze light on his skin was overlaid with a black aura as the deathly energy corroded his entire body.
A puppet in a nun’s habit cupped a ball of Holy Light, directing it into the bronze strongman’s wound to cleanse the Curse and heal the injury. She opened her mouth to chant a sacred Spell, causing an Armor of Holy Light to form around her body. Identical armor simultaneously appeared on the other three puppets. Before her, a brilliant Holy Light flared, coalescing into eighteen Holy Judgment Light Spears that shot toward Lucius at subsonic speeds.
The gloomy-faced, Thunder Type puppet snapped his fingers, and glorious thunderbolts crashed down once more. Another puppet, dressed in a black coat and hat, pulled a pocket watch from his coat, pressed it, and cast “Slow” on the Blood Royal Prince, Lucius. The Extraordinary Artifact then shattered.
At lightning speed, he pulled out another Alchemy Rune, crushed it, and spoke the activation word: “Chaos!”
This was a rune that could affect one’s thoughts. Even if the effect only lasted for a moment, it could yield unexpected results in a battle between high-Status beings.
Not far away, the Puppet Master forcefully crushed two Alchemy Runes.
“Prison!”
“Deprive!”
One was a rune that could form an invisible Prison, and the other could randomly Deprive a target of one Extraordinary Ability. Both were High Tier Alchemy Runes; otherwise, they wouldn’t be able to effectively affect a Tier Four being.
At the same time, the Puppet Master’s invisible Puppet Threads spread out, attempting to control the Blood Royal Prince, Lucius.
The movements of the Puppet Master and his puppets all happened in an instant. Their various Control Skills and Output Skills linked together perfectly, clean and efficient, as if they had been rehearsed many times before.
But they were facing a Tier Four creature—and a Blood Royal Prince who had lived for many years and possessed vast combat experience!
Despite being afflicted by “Slow,” “Chaos,” “Prison,” “Deprive,” and other negative effects, Lucius merely glanced aside. The eighteen incoming Holy Judgment Light Spears scraped past his body and flew on, shattering and collapsing a wall of the stronghold.
This was Lucius’s innate Extraordinary Ability: Twist!
He had Twisted the trajectory of the eighteen Holy Judgment Light Spears, but doing so had also cost him a significant amount of energy.
After that, the deep black mist above Lucius’s head expanded, swallowing the falling thunderbolts. He activated a Forbidden Technique, erupting in blood-red flames that burned away the Puppet Threads that had stealthily wrapped around his body.
The Puppet Master acted decisively. He pulled another High-Level Talisman Stone from his pocket, crushed it, and shouted, “Mind Deprivation!”
Lucius’s body immediately froze. His spiritual will was stripped away by an unknown power, causing a moment of paralysis.
The nun-robed puppet chanted a Spell, gathering Essence. The Crystal she wore on her chest blazed with a brilliant light before suddenly erupting with a beam of Judgmental Holy Light. The searing beam whistled through the air, easily tearing through the black mist surrounding Lucius and piercing his body, leaving a scorching, basketball-sized hole in his chest.
After unleashing this attack, the nun-robed puppet’s face turned deathly pale. She fell from mid-air, having lost her ability to move, and was then recalled by the Puppet Master, vanishing on the spot.
The intense pain allowed Lucius to break free from the control of “Mind Deprivation.” Dark blood surged from the wound as his flesh trembled and began to heal. He let out a piercing shriek. The sound waves spread out, causing the ground and walls to crack. The Puppet Master’s mind buzzed as if his brain had been struck by a sledgehammer, and blood began to flow from his eyes, ears, nose, and mouth.
The attack did not distinguish between friend or foe. The Blood Race, the Crimson Sect, and the Death Worms were all enveloped in a wave of vertigo. Their movements halted, and blood streamed from their facial orifices. Those with weaker Spiritual Power died horribly on the spot, their wills shattered by the soul-stealing sound waves.
