It is like rain.

A few intermittent days of rain would not flood the embankment. It gave time for the banks of the river to absorb the water.

But if it rains for days without stopping, then the banks would get overrun and there would be floods.

That is the method that Loki used. Changing slightly here and there to not shock the timeline.

Jean once told her about some kind of phenomenon. This phenomenon is called timeline shock.

It refers to people who meddle in time. Meddling in time is an art.

The way Jean once described it, it is like a painting.

You make a painting.

And then looking at it, you are dissatisfied with the painting. However, meddling with time is ultimately not a painting

If it’s a painting, even if you erase it, there is nothing to worry about.

But in time, it is not like you could erase the timeline completely.

To erase a timeline entirely, you need to stand on an entirely superior dimension or be able to affect it from the Source Code of time itself

If not, most of the time you are just making things worse.

This is what happens when a timeline shock occurs.

Everything went upside down and the cause and effect because harder to discern and might change things too drastically causing some cause and effect to not trigger hence making things become even more confusing

Jean explains that if you want to make changes from the past to affect the future, gradual increment of changing of the timeline is preferable.

You don’t want the timeline to change drastically to prevent a timeline shock.

Anything that is done drastically could induce either a timeline shock or a timeline contraction.

One of them shock the system the other reverses it in a different direction. Both are bad when you deal with time

After all, if the time changes so drastically, you would not be able to plan. Only time you know is a time you could change.

If you change certain events to be so drastically different, then your only advantage is diminished.

And once it is diminished any reason to change time becomes even harder

You would not know whether the changes would be good or not.

Though usually if you mess with time without a plan or preparation most of the time, the changes would be bad.

Secondly, if you change it too much too fast, the new timeline would not exactly be better.

Thirdly, such changes could provoke certain forces.

These forces are intangible forces, and it could create a singularity event that would wipe out that timeline entirely. Which means you are dead.

And dead people could not change anything.

Things have changed so much, so irrevocably yet there is logic to this change. A ripple. That is all Loki did.

The small ripples changed into a big ripple that it disturbs the sea.

That is how absurd the impact is.

Before, Loki had changed the past.

Of course, because Loki was a Sovereign in the past, he also understood the wisdom of doing it gradually.

If he did not do it gradually, even he would not be safe from the peering gaze of fate and destiny

That one is really cold

Possibilities that have been closed before are now opened with Wargod meeting.

Wargod did something no one thought he would do.

Exposing himself.

Though, if he dares exposed himself, he might have other methods to hide

And considering that the change he initiated creates a ripple, the Destroyer might not care about Wargod.

Erika herself did not know the Destroyer that much. The only memory she has of the Destroyer is at the Final Battle.

As for what the Destroyer wants, what is His desire, she doesn’t know anything. It is like this vague threat that Erika does not understand. Maybe that is why He is so terrifying

No one knows what He really is.

Did Wargod tell him something important and for that reason there is ripple in space and time continuum that even affects the Veil and the Omniverse at large?

Thinking about this is the only thing that would create such an effect

“Certain thing could not be understood in a day” this is her own advice, being told to herself

“I am becoming more anxious” she thought to herself.

She smiles

Erika then closes her eyes and once again consults the veil

His footsteps echo loudly in this temple.

The temple itself is large from the outside; it covered one third of the base of the mountain top and that is saying something

The mountaintop itself is large.

Think of how big a mountaintop could be before the Multiversal Convergence. Now, add ten times the difference in size.

The Temple of Erika is not just a temple.

It is a magical fortress.

For someone like Erika who has the power to see the future but not enough power to deter warriors and reckless people, a fortress like this is something she needs.

In front of him, is a woman servant.

Her eyes are closed with an eye mask, and she wears a black dress as she is walking them toward the alchemy room

She did not speak with Azief, and she did not say anything.

from the moment Azief step his foot inside the temple, this woman suddenly appears around him and begins escorting him.

Only gestures but not sound

This servant probably is doing some kind of practice.

As for what kind of practice they are doing, Azief did not know but if he had to guess it might be the Silent Vow

Of course this is just his speculation.

People who focus on mental power usually have to hone their senses.

It is different from those who walk the path of body refinement or energy refinement

There are as many paths as one could think of. And each path has their own way to strengthen it.

Those who cultivate the path of the mind then must hone the mind and must embody the idea, mind over matter.

Erika in particular is very powerful at this.

And Hirate is the same.

Azief, however, is not in the mood to think about path of these mental people, instead, he focuses on the temple itself as he walks its step.

The floor is not marble, but it felt like marble.

The properties seem the same, but this kind of tile is even harder than normal marble and normal attack could not break it or even crack it

“This woman really treated this temple like some kind of fortress” Azief thought to himself.

The temple had the aesthetic of that ancient Greek temple structure.

It might look ancient, but the formation is all modern.

Modern formation and Azief smirks at himself for thinking it like this.

After all, in the eyes of formation master, these formations are not modern.
