Lord Shadow - Chapter 2027: Outsider

For a moment Hikigaya and Oreki look at each other and then they look back at Raymond.

“He did come.” Hikigaya said before he paused and then added

“He sent one of his avatars”

Raymond however was not disappointed.

“You can tell him to go back to Earth. I know he is worried about Paulette. The fact he already sends his avatar here shows his stance. We only need to know his stance. And the danger itself…is negligible. Tell him, he can go. Paulette….”

He was about to say something but he only closes his eyes and shakes his head, not finishing his sentence

Hikigaya and Oreki understood what Raymond is trying to say and what he wanted to say and why he could not finish his words.

Paulette….matters is quite weird. The kind of poison that Paulette is inflicted with is quite weird.

Even Jean with all of his power could not trace the source. And that is saying something. Oreki then said

“Jean already left. After he came here, he already saw the cause and effect with one glance. He then left. He said to me the words you just said to me”

Raymond hearing this was not surprised. For a moment there is only silence in the room. And then Raymond chuckles.

“He already reached this level?” Raymond could only sigh at this. Jean, in his sorrow semes to become stronger.

What Oreki is saying to him is basically that the moment Jean avatar arrived in the Untainted land, he looks toward the future and already deduce….no, already foresaw that he, Raymond would tell him to go back

So, Jean simply left. Because he already foresaw his service is not needed. Then Raymond looks at Hikigaya and Oreki and smiles bitterly

“So, you said that he came. And did not say he left. To make sure that it happens exactly like Jean said?”

Hikigaya nodded.

There is silence inside the white tower.

Hikigaya did not feel guilty at all.

And Raymond is not angry.

Oreki also did not feel anything by not telling the whole truth to Raymond.

Because even though all three of them did not specialize in the laws of time and space this did not mean they know nothing about the rules and laws of time and space magic

After all, they are not specialised in it but that did not mean they did not study it.

They have their main course and they have elective course.

That is the best way to describe their laws and rules that they learned.

In Disk Formation, the more rules you could learn the better.

But humans also have limits. Too much laws are not always a good thing if you understand it haphazardly. So, you choose the law and rules that suited you best.

This is finding the path.

As for the others, they are supplement to your main course. In Hikigaya abilities to conjure illusion, he also infuses a bit of time and space magic laws. After all, in illusion, he could conjure the world of the past and conjure the distortions of space to make sure the illusion felt as real as possible.

This is the difference. The main law is the illusion, the path of unreal and real. Infused in it, is the law of time and space.

Infused. But not the main law.

The centre stage of his method is always the illusion magic and not time magic. But he also understands certain rules and laws of time and space.

So, when Jean left, he did not say to Raymond that Jean left.

Only after Raymond said the words, he is supposed to say that Hikigaya let Oreki talk about how Jean had left.

Oreki also understand it and that is why he did not say anything about Jena leaving until everything that is supposed to happen….happen.

As for Raymond the reason he is not angry is also because he understands it.

For moment there is only silence in the white tower.

Raymond is thinking of something else. He has been here for a month. He is not worried that the real Earth would be at chaos.

After all, a month here is just a few hours. Or maybe half an hour outside.

“They are messing with time and space too much” Raymond said.

There is time regulator in the Sun of this Untainted Land.

Before the Fall, there are some stupid people who believe the world is flat. Facts couldn’t convince them.

Even if the fact is shown in front of their face.

But in this case, in this world, the Untainted Land is basically a flat earth made real.

The only difference is that if you did run to the edge of the world, which is the edge of the Untainted Land edges, you would not fall into an eternal abyss.

Nor would you fall to space.

After all, this place is still a part of the Earth. From the outside of the barrier between this world (untainted land) and the real world which is where there is the Seven Great Powers and the real Earth

The so-called Heaven by the people of the Untainted Land

What happens if they reach the edge of the world?

They would be transported to the other side of the world.

Or they could be teleported to the centre of the world. or they could create a glitch in time and space and be transported in some caves or in some kind of alley or places that have no other people or object occupying that space

It is a Time Space barrier. So, while the “time” part regulates the time acceleration and deceleration the “space” part regulates the inconsistences of a flat earth.

Oreki heard Raymond words but he did not exactly agree

“Maybe they are not the ones doing it”

Hikigaya close his eyes for a second and then after a few second, he opens his eyes

he sighed

Raymond eyes narrows. There is one possibility that they have always considered when they were entering the Untainted Land.

It is something they have been thinking about. But even after entering the land, they did not find any proof for their suspicion so they held off on

“You mean….there is a high possibility that someone from the outside is manipulating the matter?”

Hikigaya nodded

“Then this someone…what do you think his endgame?”

Hikigaya and Oreki once again look at each other

Hikigaya shook his head

Raymond seeing this could only sigh.

The thing is, there is too many reason for this. But none of it….makes sense in their perspective. There is of course reason to do this but to what end. Whether the Untainted land exploded out or not, while the tragedy would be heart rending, it would not affect the real world that much

After all, if it did, then the Untainted Land would not be created. They would never put the cart before the horse.

Earth is the main world and not the Untainted Land. They surely would not create Untainted land if there is even a chance it could jeopardize the real Earth.

Yes, the energy that would be unleashed in an event where the Untainted Land explode. could create a ripple. A powerful storm of energy could envelope the world in that scenario.

But it is not entirely something that they need to worry about either.

At least that was their initial thoughts.

But if that is really the case, why scheme so much like this?

And when they arrived here and see the modifications on the formations of the rules and laws of this closed off world, they began to feel something creepy about all of this.

At that time, Death Monarch is not the only one that channel their energy in creating this closed off world.

They do admit that they did not really uses all of their methods and magic, to create the most powerful dome.

After all, anyone of their realm knows that if they do use their entire magic and methods in crafting thins kind of things, others could use it to backtrack your magic and method and assess your own understanding of the rules and laws you possess.

The reason why Raymond and other Divine Comprehension realm levellers do not just duke it out with each other for fun is because before you fight, before you really clashed seriously, your true mastery of certain laws and rules are a secret.

And secrets are always treated cautiously.

No one would want to fight you unless they have some information on you.

Not to mention fighting would also reveal your methods.

Even if they win, others would learn and they would bide their time.

The only time they were free from such consideration is when they met Death Monarch.

The reason is simply because Death Monarch is in Essence Creation realm. One glance and he know their masteries.

The difference is there in the beginning so there is no need to hide too much. But for others, they could not let….others knows their strength and their weakness

Even so, even if they didn’t use all of their methods, it is still constructed by almost all of the powerhouse figure on Earth

Any Disk Formation realm leveller would find it almost impossible to break through it. There is many reason.

The formation that they could learn inside the Untainted land is insufficient for them to challenge the formation that they created.

But…Someone was able to change the written runes, change the arrays, changes the magic formation that rules this world.

That someone must be people from Outside.
