MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith - Chapter 1781 1781: The Second Hunt

“…Are you serious?”
Hearing the words that left the young man’s mouth, Hath could not help but glance at Mystia for a bit before looking back at Valyr in disbelief.
“You’re telling me that you… want to fight against a Rank 7 being as well?”
“Yes.” Valyr nodded, his expression serious. “Would it be possible?”
“If you gave me the same amount of time I got while looking for Ataraxia’s opponent, then yeah, probably,” replied Hath, only to let out a sigh soon after. “On the other hand, what you’re asking for is impossible.”
“There’s no way I’d be able to find a suitable Rank 7 opponent for you in less than a minute.”
“…Is that so?” Faintly nodding at the man’s words in understanding, Valyr glanced at the flintlock he held as the gears in his mind continued to turn.
‘Well, it was worth a shot.’
While he was still coming up with ways to make the idea in his mind a reality, Ataraxia could not help but chime in through [Soul Entanglement].
‘If it all worked out, then both of us would have obtained the titles I got from killing the Elder Wyvern,’ the latter said, giving Hath a brief glance.
‘But he’s right. I don’t even think it’s possible to find a being at the early stages of Rank 7 in such a short amount of time. And that’s already factoring in the uniqueness of the Infernal Badlands.’
‘The early stages of Rank 7…’ Listening to the words that echoed within his mind, Valyr soon focused on a certain set of words his other self shared with him.
Then, feeling as if he’d finally figured out what he needed to do, his eyes widened in realization as he looked back at Hath once more.
“What if it didn’t need to be at the early stages of Rank 7?” asked Valyr, a hint of anticipation in his gaze. “What if… I asked you to find one at the peak of Rank 7 instead, Sir Hath? Would it be possible?”
“The peak of…” Wondering if the young man in front of him had a screw loose, Hath was about to give the young man a firm lesson on how one shouldn’t bite off more than they could chew.
However, when he recalled how Ataraxia dealt with the Elder Wyvern with ease, how Mystia mentioned records of Valyr successfully killing a peak Rank 7 being, and how the young man himself looked at him with confidence…
The man decided to push those thoughts to the back of his mind.
“Huu…” Letting out a soft exhale to compose himself, Hath closed his eyes for a bit as he tried to recall all of the nearby areas in the Infernal Badlands that housed beings at the peak of Rank 7.
“Alright.” Opening his eyes a few seconds later, the man turned to look at Valyr, only to notice the slight urgency contained within the latter’s gaze.
Though he did not know what made the young man look at him with such urgency, he could at least tell that it had something to do with the short amount of time Valyr had given him earlier.
“Follow me.” Briefly going over the various questions that popped up in his mind from curiosity, Hath pushed them all to the back of his head as he dispelled the barrier surrounding them.
Then, without hesitation, he began to head deeper into the Infernal Badlands, prompting both Valyr and Ataraxia to try their best to catch up to him.
Whoosh!
‘What is Valyr planning to do?’ Although left behind by the trio at first, Mystia did not take long to dismantle the barrier she set up before catching up to them.
By the time she was beside the trio, she noticed the calm yet confident expressions on the duo’s faces, prompting her curiosity towards Valyr’s request to escalate by the second.
However, before she could voice out the question she wanted to ask him, Hath came to an abrupt stop.
“We’re here.”
Swoosh!
Planting both of his feet firmly to the ground, the man went ahead and cast another barrier around them, supplying with far greater energy than the barrier he made earlier.
Of course, now that she understood that the two young men planned on fighting a peak Rank 7 being, Mystia did not hold back as well, going all-out in fortifying the barrier she conjured to overlay on top of the one Hath made.
“Your next opponent is that thing over there.” After making sure that the barrier was able to withstand at least a single hit from a peak Rank 7 being, the man soon pointed Valyr and Ataraxia towards their new target.
Rumble…
Positioned at least 500 meters away from where they stood, a gigantic creature seemingly made out of stones wriggled across the Infernal Badlands, churning the ground into bits of rock and stone.
“The Giant Blazeworm King,” said Hath amidst the silence, giving the two a rough overview of what kind of opponent they were up against. “Amongst all of the peak Rank 7 beings that roam the Infernal Badlands, I consider them to be one of the easiest to handle.”
“And now, you shall become its opponent.”
As these words left his mouth, the man gave Valyr a knowing look before proceeding to tell the young man some of the weak spots the Giant Blazeworm King had.
Keeping all of that information to memory, the young man nodded in understanding as he glanced at his flintlock. Then, staring at his upcoming opponent, he went ahead and used his identification skill on it.
Ding!

‘Hiss…’ Looking through the information Valyr shared with him through their connection, Ataraxia could not help but suck in a breath of cold air. ‘You really think you can kill it?’
‘If my guess of what that one skill could do is correct, then killing this Giant Blazeworm King won’t be a problem,’ said Valyr in return, his expression calm. ‘How much time left before your skill runs out?’
’20 seconds.’
‘Alright then. Time to make my move.’
Whoosh!
Sensing the seconds tick down as [The First Gunslinger’s Patience] gradually reached its limit, Valyr zoomed out of the barrier as he began to close the gap between him and the Giant Blazeworm King.
‘[Manifestation of the Elder Wyvern].’
‘[Refined Offense Aura].’
‘[Refined Defense Aura].’
‘[Four Paths Elemental Arts: Raging Azure Phoenix].’
‘[Four Paths Elemental Arts: Enduring Azure Turtle].’
Activating the buffs that he had withheld during the fight against the Elder Wyvern, Valyr felt his strength soar to greater heights as he told Ataraxia to return [Soul Unification] back to 100% fusion.
‘[Intent of the Prime Azure].’
Swoosh!
Feeling his strength undergo a massive increase the moment the latter followed his words, the young man briefly felt like he had touched upon a higher realm of power the moment he activated his strongest Intent.
Rumble…
Yet, just as he was trying to take charge of this overwhelming force coursing through his body, the Giant Blazeworm King had taken notice of his existence, its anger causing the ground to rumble with far greater intensity than before.
Rumble…!
Furious that a being had trespassed into its territory, the Giant Blazeworm King made use of all its strength to close the gap between them.
Fwoosh!
Seeing orbs of fiery light form above the head of the Giant Blazeworm King not long after, a solemn expression soon appeared on Valyr’s face as he went ahead and activated the skill that would turn the tides in his favor.
‘[Eyes of the Sagacious One].’
‘[Breaking the Primordial Chains].’
Swoosh!
Feeling himself transcend all shackles of mortality the moment the skill was activated, the young man quickly reminded himself that he only had a few more seconds before his entire plan would fall apart.
And so, after raising the flintlock towards one of the Giant Blazeworm King’s weak spots, Valyr pulled the trigger as he activated the firearm’s offensive skill.
‘[The First Gunslinger’s Rage].’
Bang!
