MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith - Chapter 1783 1783: And Some Good News

“…Oh, thank the heavens you’re fine!”
Just as Ataraxia and Valyr left the room where the latter was recuperating, they were immediately greeted by the sight of Mystia and Hath looking at them with both concern and relief.
“Sorry for making you worry,” said Valyr in return, giving Mystia a bitter smile before giving Hath a slight nod of gratitude.
“Don’t mind it.” Though the latter waved his hand with indifference at the words, the man’s expression clearly showed relief. “Are you sure you’re fine to move about, though?”
“After all, a couple days have passed since you fell unconscious.”
“Really?” To no surprise, Valyr’s eyes widened after hearing that, prompting him to look at his other self before sending a message through their connection.
‘…Was I really out for that long?’
‘Yeah.’ Ataraxia inwardly nodded at the question. ‘To be honest, I thought you’d only be out for like half a day. After all, that’s how long both of us were out of commission back at the Myriad Prodigies Tournament.’
‘I really think the backlash from your skill did compound because of my own skill,’ he continued, his expression now slightly guilty. ‘Now I feel like we shouldn’t have gone with the idea.’
‘And wait another week before finding another Rank 7 being to fight?’ Valyr faintly shook his head. ‘Even if we were lucky enough to find a suitable Rank 7 being as an opponent, keep in mind that we still have to think about the upcoming Nine Heavenly Pillars Tournament.’
‘If we continued with it, us not being able to level up to the peak of Rank 5 for that entire week would be the least of our worries.’
For a moment after that, Ataraxia remained silent as the gears in his head turned to ponder over whether Valyr falling unconscious for a couple of days was a good trade-off or not.
Unsurprisingly, he came to the conclusion that it was a worthwhile trade-off.
Aside from the fact that they could now level up to the peak of Rank 5 without worries anymore, they could finally return their focus back on the things they had set aside in the past.
On top of that, the aura his other self gave off after killing the Giant Blazeworm King was at least a couple notches stronger than before.
Though he felt that the increase wasn’t as drastic as his from killing the Elder Wyvern, Ataraxia still felt that the gains Valyr got out of it were quite substantial.
‘Now that I think about it, have you taken a look at your notifications from killing the Giant Blazeworm King yet?’ Just as Valyr began to calm Mystia and Hath down, the former sent him a question that caused him to pause for a bit.
‘No,’ replied the young man as he inwardly shook his head. ‘Wanna take a look at it together once all of this is done?’
‘Sure, why not?’ Ataraxia shrugged in response. ‘I haven’t even taken a look at the notifications I’ve gotten from the system in detail yet.’
‘Plus, after you killed the Giant Blazeworm King, I actually got a couple more notifications from the system,’ he added. ‘Kinda curious what that’s all about.’
Nodding at those words, Valyr continued to talk with Mystia and Hath for a bit more before the four of them proceeded to talk about other topics while enjoying a hearty meal.
…
“Well, that was more tiring than I thought it would be.”
Lying down on the bed he previously rested on, Valyr closed his eyes for a bit as he let out a slightly exhausted sigh.
“You do know that just makes it sound like you hate interacting with them, right?” Grabbing a chair from nearby, Ataraxia sat on it before giving the former a teasing smile.
“Them beating around the bush is what I hate, not them,” Valyr clarified before taking in a few deep breaths to compose himself. “If not for that, then I would’ve probably told them a lot more things about how to kill Rank 7 beings at our level.”
“Yeah, that part is a bit annoying.” The former faintly nodded in agreement, only to shrug his shoulders soon after. “But what can you do? The two of them know for a fact that we have a couple of tricks up our sleeves that made what we did possible.”
“In any case, there’s no point talking about it any further,” said Ataraxia soon after, only to then give his other self a knowing glance. “Shall we finally look through our notifications?”
“Sure.” Valyr nodded in response, prompting him to sit by the edge of the bed before giving his other self a brief look. “But before that, did you record our stats before I fell unconscious?”
“With how strong we felt at the time, how could I not?” Ataraxia chuckled as he nodded.
Ding!
With the young man in question sending the information he wanted through their connection, Valyr soon got a good look at the stats he had while fighting the Giant Blazeworm King.
————
Stats: 4533 (36,242) VIT, 2682 (22,468) STR, 2798 (22,943) AGI, 6937 (37,280) (+927) DEX, 7633 (62,041) INT, 3376 (51,203) WIS, 4840 (30,106) PER, 784 (11,621) LUK
Concepts: [Intent of the Prime Azure (1st Grade)], [Intent of the Master Forger (3rd Grade)], …
————
“…My god.”
Though he already had an idea of how strong he had gotten at the time, seeing it quantified by the system still made the young man suck in a cold breath of air.
“These stats could already rival those at the peak of Rank 10,” said Valyr, feeling a bit of disbelief that his strength had reached that level even though he was still at Rank 5.
“Over 60,000 INT and 50,000 WIS…”
“With stats like that, I guess we’re better off fighting against Myth-level beings with magic.”
“How about you?” By the time he had gotten over the shock his stat screen at the time gave him, Valyr gave his other self a curious look. “What stats did you have while I was fighting the Giant Blazeworm King?”
Though he knew it would be more apt for him to ask for Ataraxia’s stats while fighting against the Elder Wyvern, the young man understood that the two had truly reached their peak strength while he was fighting his own opponent.
After all, it was only then did he go all-out on his own set of buffs.
“It’s not that different compared to yours,” said Ataraxia with a humble smile, sending another packet of information to his other self in response.
Though, at the very moment Valyr went through the information his other self shared with him, he immediately understood that his smile… was anything but humble.
