My CEO Husband Has Some Issues - Chapter 2235 - 2237: Gu Linxi vs. Cui Jiangjing

Gu Ran hadn’t had a chance to ask what exactly it was, and the other end had already hung up swiftly.
She stomped her feet in frustration because there were cameras everywhere during the recording session. She quickly greeted the director’s team and then found a corner without people to dial her home’s number.
When her family answered her call, they were shocked, “Xiao Ran, aren’t you recording? Why are you calling home? What’s wrong?”
Gu Ran, flustered, asked, “Where’s Dad? He’s not at home?”
“Your dad’s at the company.”
Her mother sensed something was off in her tone and anxiously pressed, “Why are you asking about your dad?”
Hearing her father wasn’t home, Gu Ran mumbled an excuse and hung up.
But her heart was still shaking. She thought it over and over again, then found her father’s number and called.
The phone rang at least ten times before it was answered, and it wasn’t her father’s voice: “Hello, Miss, is there something you need?”
This voice was that of her father’s manager. Gu Ran quickly asked, “Mr. Qin, where’s my dad? Let me talk to him.”
Gu Company’s manager awkwardly said, “I’m sorry, something happened. Mr. Gu is very busy right now and can’t take your call. Can he call you back when he’s done?”
Gu Ran heard what seemed to be a voice calling his name on that end and also her father’s angry shouting, as if urging the tech department to check something.
Her heart tightened, and she quickly said, “Mr. Qin, I have something important to tell my dad. Please give him the phone.”
“Miss, Mr. Gu is really busy right now…”
Gu Ran interrupted him, insisting, “I know he’s busy. Just give him the phone, I only have a few words.”
The manager couldn’t refuse her, so he bravely approached the man who was furiously berating the tech department and whispered, “Mr. Gu, it’s Miss on the phone.”
Gu Qinian was extremely annoyed, immediately darkening his face, nearly spitting at his face: “No, no, can’t you see I’m busy! Are you done with what I asked you to do?”
The manager turned pale with fright, stammering as he explained to him, “Miss insists you take her call. She says it’s important. I told Miss that you’re busy and will call her back later, but she insists you take the call…”
Gu Qinian glared at him so fiercely the manager thought he was going to be devoured, his hand almost losing grip on the phone.
Luckily, Gu Qinian only glared at him once before finally letting him hand over the phone.
Gu Ran had waited forever and at last heard her father’s voice, hastily shouting, “Dad, I need to talk to you.”
“Can’t it wait? Didn’t Mr. Qin tell you I’m busy?”
“Dad, I have something to ask you.”
Gu Qinian was incredibly impatient, complaining that she was being unreasonable, “Is it about you being on the show again? I’ve already scheduled a meeting with the TV station leader to discuss your debut spot. The meeting hasn’t happened yet. What are you in such a rush for!”
“No…”
“Enough, that’s it, I have things to do, don’t call again.”
Just as Gu Qinian was about to hang up, Gu Ran couldn’t hold back and blurted out, “Dad, did you receive something strange?”
Her heart pounded after saying that, gripping the phone nervously.
“…How do you know I received something? Did you send it?”
Gu Ran’s heart sank, angrily retorting, “Of course it wasn’t me.”
