My Cuckhold System - Chapter 205: Construction Halted

Chapter 205: Construction Halted
Seraphyra’s gaze lingered on him longer than necessary.
“And yet… you still find time for certain activities.”
West smirked faintly; “Important activities…”
Seraphyra slithered around him with an exaggerated expression on her face; “That makes us unimportant… master I’m hurt,” she whimpered while putting a hand on her chest.
West rolled his eyes before chuckling. “Quite dramatic, aren’t you?”
He proceeded to grab her face and stroked it softly; “None of you are unimportant. Patience Seraphyra, your time will come soon.”
Seraphyra’s eyes bloomed in satisfaction as she proceeded to wrap herself around West and hugging his head tightly. “Yes master…”
Afterwards, she went back to work excitedly.
Meanwhile, Aurethia stood silently on the rooftop, over thirty floors above the ground.
Wind brushed against her silver armor as her golden saber rested lightly in her hand. Her posture was straight and unwavering while her gaze scanned the city below.
Even at rest, she looked ready for battle.
All of West summons had designated roles to themselves when at home, leaving Gor’thala as the cook, Seraphyra as the cleaner and Aurethia as the guard to eliminate any form of threats before they could ever get close to the master.
West finished dressing in his usual workout wears that were fitted and clung to his lean muscular frame.
He stepped toward the dining table just as Gor’thala placed the final plate down.
“Done,” she said simply.
West nodded with a satisfied look.
“Good. Thank you.”
While he ate, the system interface flickered into view.

West’s eyes lingered on the countdown, noting that only thirteen days were left.
A slow exhale left his lips.
“…More than enough.”
His thoughts drifted to everything that had already happened, especially with Mei.
After witnessing what went down between both of them, there was no doubt that her restraint had started to crumble.
Since that day, the way she looked at him now was no longer just conflicted.
“…Yeah,” he murmured under his breath.
“This won’t take long.”
After he was done eating, he stood and reached for a tracksuit jacket. Upon wearing it, he reached for his simple fake moustache disguise and adjusted it in the mirror briefly, ensuring everything looked right.
“I’m heading out,” he stated.
Seraphyra leaned against the wall with her arms folded.
“Already?”
West grabbed his keys.
“Stay out of trouble.”
She smirked.
“No promises.”
West stepped out, closed the door and headed toward the elevator. It was time to head for Renzhi’s residence again to continue where things left off.
However, just as he reached the ground floor, his phone rang.
West glanced at the screen and noticed it was Aria.
Without hesitating, he answered.
“Hey Aria, what’s up?”
Aria immediately responded with a tone of urgency; “West… you need to come to the site. Now.”
His expression changed immediately; “…What happened?”
“Just come. I’ll explain when you get here.”
—
West stepped out onto the street, flagged down transport, and within minutes, he was on his way.
When he arrived at what formerly used to be the abandoned industrial site, he noticed that something was off.
The first thing he spotted was the bright ugly tape wrapped across the entire perimeter, blocking access.
“DO NOT ENTER.”
West stepped out slowly, scanning the surroundings.
Construction had been progressing beautifully before and the Shadow Reapers base was starting to come to life but now everything had stopped midway.
Tools were abandoned while machineries were silent and scattered around the area.
A few men that were not construction workers or regular civilians, stood in groups guarding the entry point with cold expressions.
West’s eyes narrowed slightly.
“…What the hell is this?”
“West!”
Aria rushed toward him with a frustrated expression but relieved look.
“You’re here.”
West turned to her.
“What’s going on?”
She began explaining without wasting time; “The owner of the land.”
“…What about them?”
“They’ve halted construction.”
West stared at her with a look of confusion.
“…What?”
“They’re claiming there’s been an issue with the payment.”
West let out a short laugh.
“…That’s funny… I already paid.”
“I know,” Aria said quickly. “We both know. But they’re saying the payment was incomplete.”
West’s gaze darkened slightly.
“…Incomplete?”
Aria nodded.
“They’ve revoked our rights to proceed until the ’remaining balance’ is cleared.”
West slowly turned his head, looking at the halted construction, the guards and tape again.
“…How much?” he questioned.
Aria hesitated for half a second before handing him the tablet.
West received it and took a look at the screen.
For a moment, he said nothing before bursting into laughter.
“…Five million?”
His shoulders shook slightly as the laughter continued.
“Five… million dollars?”
Aria stayed silent, Watching him carefully while West lowered the tablet slowly.
His smile still there but it looked very devious now.
“…So that’s what this is.”
His eyes suddenly turned dark and cold.
“They saw what I was building…”
“They saw the value… how it was far from anything they had expected…”
“And now suddenly—”
“—it’s not enough.”
He chuckled again.
“…Of course. Trying to exploit the 18 year old who must know nothing about the real world eh…”
Aria spoke cautiously.
“What do you want to do?”
West proceeded to step forward slowly, past the tape, ignoring it completely.
One of the guards stepped forward instantly.
“Hey—this area is restricted—”
West didn’t even look at him.
“Move.”
The man frowned.
“I said—”
Without stopping, West moved forward brushing the guard aside like he was made out of paper.
The guard turned swiftly and reached out to grab West’s shoulder.
The moment West turned his face slightly, the guard froze.
The look in his eyes was enough to send chills crawling up his spine as the intense feeling of danger enveloped him.
The guard didn’t even release he had let go of West out of fear. He only noticed West stepping further and further ahead and didn’t have the guts to confront him again.
