My Cuckhold System - Chapter 206: He Is An Awakener

Chapter 206: He Is An Awakener
Aria followed behind West.
“…I tried handling it through proper channels,” she said. “Legal, negotiation, everything. But they’re not budging.”
West stopped again with his back still turned to her.
“…Of course they’re not,” he paused before turning with a look of clarity.
“…This is what I get for trying to do things the right way.”
Aria watched him closely as West’s lips curled slightly.
“I forget…”
His voice dropped into a very chilling tone.
“…the right way doesn’t work in this world.”
A heavy and unsettling silence settled over the construction site as West looked around one last time.
West walked slowly through the partially completed structure, causing the sound of footsteps to echo across the surroundings due to the unfinished flooring.
Steel beams stretched overhead with glass panels already installed in some sections, giving the place a modern and almost futuristic aesthetic.
Despite being incomplete, it was beautiful… shaping up to look exactly as he had envisioned it…
A headquarters worthy of the Shadow Reapers.
His eyes traced the layout, scanning the training areas, command rooms, operational hubs and living quarters…
Everything was coming together perfectly but this interruption, threatened to put a dent on his plans.
His gaze hardened slightly.
“…I’m not making the mistake of trying to do things right ever again,” he muttered.
Behind him, Aria stayed quiet because she could feel that quiet anger building beneath the surface.
Multiple heavy footsteps soon rang out from behind them.
West didn’t turn immediately because he already knew who the approaching figures were.
The same guard from earlier stepped forward again but this time, he wasn’t alone.
Ten others stood behind him, making them eleven in total.
They were all armed and to a normal person, they’d look intimidating… but West was far from normal.
“This is him,” the guard from earlier pointed at West’s.
One of the others who was taller and broader, seemingly the leader of the group, stepped forward.
“You’ve been warned,” he said coldly. “Leave now.”
West finally turned slowly with a calm expression.
“I paid for this place,” he said simply. “Which means…”
His eyes swept across them.
“…you’re the ones trespassing.”
“Are you joking, mister?” Another guard scoffed while stepping forward, gripping his weapon tighter.
“Leave now… or we’ll make you leave.”
Silence reigned for a few seconds before West exhaled lightly.
He reached for his tracksuit jacket and began to take it off.
The guards frowned.
“…What is he doing?”
West folded it neatly before handing it to Aria without looking.
“Well,” he stated.
“I like this jacket.”
“And I don’t want to stain it with blood.”
Looks of confusion appeared on their faces.
“…What—”
Before they could blink, West vanished…
Fwwhooommssshhh—
One moment he was there, and the next, he was behind one of them.
Before the man could react, a firm hand clamped onto his head.
BOOM!
West lifted him clean off the ground and slammed him headfirst into a massive piece of machinery beside them.
Metal dented inward as a sickening crack echoed and blood splattered across the surface.
The man’s body went limp instantly but West wasn’t done…
He lifted him again and drove him into the ground this time.
SLAM!
The impact sent a dull shockwave through the floor as cracks appeared on its surface.
Blood pooled around West’s feet as he smacked his palms together like he was dusting dirt off them.
A brief silence accompanied with shock ensued before chaos broke lose.
“Attack him!”
The guards closest to him shot forward while swinging batons at his face, aggressively.
Unfortunately, from West’s point of view, they were as slow as sloths.
Each swing missed, cutting through empty air as he stepped between them effortlessly.
One of them swung widely but West caught the weapon mid-motion and yanked it clean from his grip.
CRACK!
He smashed it straight into the man’s face, sending him flying backward with blood spraying mid-air.
Another came from the side but West spun swiftly in response while swinging his arm out.
SMACK!
A single backhand collided with the guard’s face causing teeth and blood to fly out of his mouth.
The man slammed into a pillar over twenty feet away before collapsing to the ground.
All of a sudden… a loud gunshot rang out from behind.
Bang!
A bullet tore through the air and hit West, right at the neck.
They all froze in place, as looks of relief appeared on their faces.
West had been stopped before he could wreak any more havoc.
One of the guards held the shoulder of the other guard before praising him; “Good call.”
Just as they were basking in relief, one of them seemed to notice that West hadn’t dropped.
He just stood there unmoving.
“Hey something’s not right…”
That was when they noticed that the bullet, stayed there on West’s neck, stuck in place like it had hit steel.
West reached up casually, pinched it between his fingers and pulled it off.
A small red mark remained on his skin but that was it. The bullet itself had flattened and crushed upon making contact with his skin.
Continous consumption of the contents of the Chalice Of Vitality had reinforced West’s skin to the point where bullets were no longer a threat.
West turned slowly.
“…Ouch.”
That single word, sent a chill through them.
The remaining seven guards stepped back instinctively with widened eyes as their breathing turned uneven.
“…He’s an awakener…”
“We’re fucked—”
“…one of those monsters…”
One of them snapped.
“Hey—no one told me this job involved awakeners—I quit!”
He turned and ran.
This singular action triggered more panic causing two more to follow before another joined…
They broke formation and more started to turn around in order to flee.
West didn’t even bother chasing… he simply spoke in a calm but authoritative tone;
“If anyone takes another step forward…” his voice dropped, turning even colder.
“…I promise…”
“…it will be your last.”
Some froze instantly as fear rooted them to the spot.
