- Chapter 207 136: Visiting an Authoritative Professor (Part 3)

Few people could achieve what Jiang Zhengfeng had at his age.
Furthermore, reaching the level of a Fortune 500 company was usually impossible without government ties.
For the past decade or so, Jiang Zhengfeng’s career had skyrocketed. His standing in the new energy sector had soared, and he was now an irreplaceable helmsman in the field.
This Bauhinia Investment Company, located in Central Realm Mansion, was just a small firm he had started with a few friends.
The total capital it managed was only a few billion.
To Pei Youwen, this was like the crown prince gracing the common folk with a visit!
To say he was fawning would be an understatement; he was one step short of kneeling and licking the ground.
In the world of capital, dignity was a worthless commodity.
“I don’t drink coffee. A soft drink is fine.”
“Of course. I’ll have someone bring up two cans of Coke right away. Is that acceptable?”
“Whatever. Anything that isn’t too much trouble is fine.”
“You got it~”
Waving his hands, Pei Youwen bowed and backed out of the office, gently closing the door behind him.
A drop of cold sweat slid down from his temple.
‘That scared me to death!’
He had never expected the boss’s son to be so old!
‘He looks like he’s at least in college. Not at all like the seven or eight-year-old kid I was imagining…’
‘Oh, no. This is huge news!’
‘President Jiang actually has a seventeen or eighteen-year-old son…’
…
“After you.”
“President Jiang, you’re too kind. I’m just here to understand the situation. Your trust in me is already the highest honor.”
“No, don’t say that. Right now, there isn’t a younger or more accomplished expert in the field of psychology in the country.”
Jiang Zhengfeng walked down the hallway with a steady stride.
With him was a man in his thirties wearing black-framed glasses.
He exuded a strong scholarly aura and appeared quite refined.
Behind them followed two assistants and four men in suits, none daring to interrupt, listening in silence.
Pei Youwen followed fairly closely, exchanging glances with the people beside him.
They arrived at the door at the very end of the hall.
The two female assistants immediately stepped forward, one on each side, and opened the door.
After a moment of polite gesturing, Jiang Zhengfeng and the man with the glasses walked in together.
Behind them, Pei Youwen earnestly instructed the others, “You all wait out here. Don’t disturb them.”
He then took a step to follow them inside.
But one of the female assistants put out a hand to stop him, saying coolly, “President Pei, you should wait here as well.”
“This…”
Pei Youwen froze for a moment, then his face instantly flushed with embarrassment.
He cleared his throat and nodded.
“Of course, of course.”
When he turned around, a few of his fellow company executives were fighting to hold back mischievous smirks.
“What are you laughing at!” Pei glared at them.
…
“Yuan,” Jiang Zhengfeng said as he entered, quickly walking over and gesturing toward Chen Yuan. “Let me introduce you. This is Professor Fu, the youngest and most authoritative professor in the field of psychology in our country.”
Jiang Zhengfeng then turned back. “This is my son.”
For some reason, hidden in his tone, the professor detected a deep sense of pride.
He studied the young man standing less than two steps away, and a flicker of surprise crossed his eyes.
‘He really does have an extraordinary temperament.’
He proactively extended his hand. “Hello, Young Master Jiang. My name is Fu Weiping.”
“No, no, no, just call me Yuan.”
Chen Yuan was so embarrassed his toes curled.
‘Why does everyone keep calling me Young Master… Are we filming a TV show or something?’
“Alright, you two talk. I have to get to a meeting,” Jiang Zhengfeng said. After making the introductions, he didn’t linger—perhaps deliberately, to avoid making things awkward for Chen Yuan. “I’ll come back after my meeting is over.”
“Okay, Dad.” Chen Yuan nodded.
At that single word, “Dad,” a smile quickly bloomed on the wrinkled face of Jiang Zhengfeng—the business legend who stood like a mountain in the eyes of countless people.
It was as rare as seeing an iron tree blossom.
“Mm,” he responded, his gaze turning affectionate as his entire demeanor softened.
