After receiving the notification, Su Chen arrived early at the Central Building to wait.
The surrounding area had been cleared. Chong Jingtian and the others were already there. Seeing him arrive, they gave a slight nod, gesturing for him to wait to the side.
As before, only Zhou Yanwu and Shi Yunzhou were with him.
’The other two are probably waiting for Wu Chenpei,’ Su Chen mused. Before long, his gaze sharpened as he saw a group of people approaching from a distance.
His eyes immediately fell upon a middle-aged man with a scale on his brow. The man wore a blue and white robe, a style he had never seen on Red Thunder Star. It reminded him of the ancient people from his past life.
The man’s gaze also landed directly on him. In an instant, Su Chen felt his heart sink, as if he were being targeted by something, and an immense pressure washed over him.
But the feeling quickly vanished as if it had never been there. The man had already walked in, while his numerous guards remained standing outside the door.
“So he’s the one who was recognized?” Qing Cang asked, looking at Su Chen with great interest after greeting Chong Jingtian and the others.
Wan Chen gave him a once-over. Lan Hao glanced at him before looking away. Lin Yue’s eyes lit up. ’He’s handsome,’ she thought.
“That’s right,” Chong Jingtian nodded. “Su Chen, this is Lord Qing Cang.”
“Lord Qing Cang,” Su Chen said respectfully.
“Mm,” Qing Cang nodded, seeming quite interested in him. “How old are you? What’s your Tier? What were the levels of your previous Professions? And your Talent?”
“Hmm…” Su Chen considered for a moment. ’There’s probably no need to hide this information,’ he thought, and answered candidly, “I’m twenty years old, a Tier Four dual Professional. My Tier One, Tier Two, Tier Three, and Tier Four Professions are all Top-tier Professions.”
At this, Qing Cang’s eyes brightened. Wan Chen and the other two were also quite surprised. At his age, achieving such a setup would require a significant amount of resources, even in the Royal Court.
Of course, this was a basic requirement for anyone who wanted to become a major figure, but this was, after all, a planet far from the Royal Court.
He was probably a core figure whom Ying Feng had been cultivating with all his might since childhood.
’So they really are Top-tier…’ Chong Jingtian confirmed his suspicions, not particularly surprised. Zhou Yanwu’s gaze swept over, his thoughts unreadable.
“As for my Talent, it’s Double Ink Jade…”
This was the standard of measurement on Red Thunder Star, and Su Chen had thought the others might not understand it. However, he noticed the light in Qing Cang’s eyes dim slightly.
’Just Double Ink Jade? He’s probably only barely favored by a single Spiritual Dragon.’
Qing Cang couldn’t help but feel disappointed. If even one of his Talents had been Scarlet, he would have immediately extended an olive branch.
But Double Ink Jade… was still a bit lacking.
However, his foundation was excellent. Qing Cang pondered for a moment and decided to first evaluate Su Chen’s other qualities, such as his Heart, before making a final decision.
’Double Ink Jade, huh.’ Wan Chen also lost interest. Lin Yue glanced at him a few times with a look of pity.
Meanwhile, Su Chen was thinking about something else. ’It seems this Talent standard is universal. The Royal Court appears to use the same system.’
’And this guy didn’t even ask how many dragons I have or anything like that. He probably made his judgment just by hearing about my Talent.’
Su Chen, of course, said nothing more and just stood to the side.
With his interest somewhat diminished, Qing Cang didn’t ask any more questions. He turned to Chong Jingtian. “Where is the Spiritual entity?”
Chong Jingtian had been observing their subtle expressions, trying to guess their thoughts. Upon hearing the question, he said, “If you would all please wait a moment.”
’There’s no way he can block our senses this time,’ Su Chen muttered to himself. He watched as Chong Jingtian took a few steps forward and lightly stomped his foot.
The floor of the hall, originally paved with Stone Slabs, rippled like water as symbols lit up one after another. Silently, an underground passage slowly opened, revealing the same metal corridor he had walked through last time.
’So it was right here all along…’ Su Chen watched, speechless. Last time, Chong Jingtian had blocked their five senses and created all sorts of noises. It seemed he had just led them on a pointless trip outside only to bring them back here.
“A Talisman Array…” Qing Cang’s attention was on something else. He looked thoughtful. ’This place is quite well-developed in all aspects.’
Meanwhile, Wan Chen and the other two already looked impatient, with no time to care about anything else.
Chong Jingtian led the way, and the group followed close behind, with Su Chen and the three young people falling to the rear.
“I’m Wan Chen.” The kind-faced young man took the initiative to introduce himself, then pointed to the other two. “This is Lin Yue, and that’s Lan Hao.”
The girl, Lin Yue, nodded at him. As for Lan Hao, he just stared straight ahead.
“They’ve probably already told you, right? Soon, you’ll need to leave with us,” Wan Chen said. “When that time comes, you’ll definitely be joining the Bronze Sect.”
’Bronze Sect?’ Su Chen was curious upon hearing the name, but he knew now was not the time to ask.
Wan Chen then sent out a mental wave, reminding him, “Master Qing seems to be considering taking you as his disciple. You should seize this opportunity.”
Su Chen gave him a surprised look but simply nodded to show he understood.
’So calm?’
Wan Chen was surprised. ’Does he not understand Qing Cang’s power and status?’
’That can’t be right. We’ve already revealed a fair bit of information; he should be able to deduce it.’
’Neither arrogant nor rash, very composed. Not bad…’ Walking at the front, Qing Cang nodded to himself in approval.
’His way of addressing him is a bit strange. I wonder if he’s one of that Qing Cang’s disciples,’ Su Chen speculated.
The group soon reached the end of the corridor. Chong Jingtian opened the stone door, and the red mist crackling with electricity billowed out as always.
The gazes of Wan Chen, Lin Yue, and Lan Hao instantly became incredibly fervent. It seemed as though each of them wanted to rush inside, yet they were all restraining themselves.
Chong Jingtian stood to one side. Wu Chenpei had once said that only natives of Red Thunder Star could gain the recognition of this Spiritual entity.
Not long ago, he had asked why Hongxuan was able to gain recognition. Wu Chenpei explained it was due to a hidden method; Hongxuan had laid low on Red Thunder Star for ten years precisely for this purpose.
