My Professions Have Too Much Personality - Chapter 340 - 203: 4 Matters (Part 2)

Ni Chuan’s heart leaped. He had actually wanted to let Ni Bin vent his frustrations. Otherwise, bottling up that resentment would cause a major breakdown sooner or later.
But he never expected the boy would dare to end it by roaring at the Bronze Ancient King.
He quickly began to explain, “Ancient King, the boy is simply overcome with rage. Please, do not lower yourself to his level.”
The Bronze Ancient King’s gaze was lowered, his voice still calm and detached as he unexpectedly replied, “Unfair? So what?”
In that instant, Ni Bin, who had been consumed by anger, resentment, and sorrow, felt as if a bucket of ice water had been dumped over his head. All his emotions transformed into a bone-chilling cold, and his eyes suddenly became clear.
Su Chen’s heart jolted. ’Tch…’
“Stop posturing. Have your Royal Court and the Town Guard Army not committed their own share of injustices?” Qing Cang hurriedly “explained” for his revered master, as such an oppressive statement could be easily misunderstood.
“Now that you’re at a disadvantage, you act as if you’ve suffered some great injustice. Think about those you oppressed in the past.”
Ni Bin froze in place. It wasn’t that he was rendered speechless by Qing Cang’s rebuttal, but that he was terrified by the Bronze Ancient King. If an entity like that decided to be unreasonable, then what was the point of anything?
“Even if all of you had come together, the Spiritual essence would have ultimately chosen Su Chen. The result would not have changed. His compatibility is too high,” Red Sun finally said.
Qing Cang looked at Ni Chuan. “Commander Ni, is there anything else you wish to say?”
“Congratulations to the Bronze Sect on acquiring another Star Seed.” Ni Chuan reined in his emotions, left with only that sentence, then grabbed Ni Bin and turned to depart.
“Then I must trouble you, Senior Brother.” Red Sun finally had a chance to respond to the Bronze Ancient King’s earlier words. He gazed into the distance, his sight seeming to pierce the endless Nether Fog.
“I am merely a Spirit Fragment of my true self. Had Senior Brother not awakened me, I might have perished in my slumber. Now that my true self’s final wish is fulfilled…”
“Teacher!” Su Chen shouted hurriedly. The man seemed to be reciting his last words; if he didn’t stop him now, it would be too late.
“Is there something else?” Red Sun turned his head to look, his expression placid and devoid of emotion. It was not that he was heartless, but because he was a Spirit Fragment, a vessel for his true self’s final wish.
“Teacher, Red Thunder Star is currently facing the disaster of the Holy Banquet. I was wondering if you might have a way to resolve it,” Su Chen said gravely. This was the most pressing matter.
“The Holy Banquet?” Red Sun frowned.
The Bronze Ancient King glanced at Qing Cang, who lowered his head and sighed helplessly.
“Senior Brother?” He turned to the Bronze Ancient King. In his current state, he couldn’t solve anything.
Su Chen asking him was, in essence, also asking the Bronze Ancient King.
“Hmm…” The Bronze Ancient King hummed thoughtfully.
Su Chen was slightly alarmed. ’Even the Ancient King can’t solve it? Or does this avatar not possess enough power?’
“I have two methods…” the Bronze Ancient King finally said. “One, I can use this portion of my power to survey the entire Red Thunder Star. Because it is enveloped by the Nether Fog, this will take a considerable amount of time, and I will not be able to cleanse the Deceitful God’s Followers with much precision.”
“Two, I can use a special method to activate this damaged Red Cauldron and temporarily drive away the Nether Fog on this planet. However, this portion of my power would also be nearly depleted, leaving the cleanup to the natives. The advantage is that they can be much more thorough, which would delay the arrival of the next Holy Banquet.”
Qing Cang looked as if he wanted to speak but held his tongue. Both methods—either piercing the Nether Fog to survey the planet quickly or dispelling the fog entirely—would consume this portion of his revered master’s power.
’But we still have to transport this Stone Slab bearing the Spiritual essence back home.’
’So it’s not that he can’t solve it.’ Su Chen sighed in relief. Both options had their pros and cons. He thought for a moment and said, “Could I have some time to consult with a few of my seniors before I give you an answer?”
“You may,” the Ancient King said.
“Is there anything else?” Red Sun asked Su Chen again.
Su Chen asked, “Teacher, I believe some of my seniors and a few of my fellow disciples are trapped in this cauldron. They ventured deep inside and were unable to come back out. Would it be possible to release them?”
Red Sun’s eyes flickered as if he were sensing something. A moment later, he said, “There are indeed a few people trapped by the cauldron.”
“Senior Brother, if I release them recklessly, I fear they will die from the temporal distortion. You should do it.”
The Ancient King nodded. He simply extended a hand, and wisps of green light seeped into the cauldron.
’Is that a fucking data stream?’ Su Chen hadn’t paid it much mind at first, but upon seeing it clearly, he was stunned. The green Energy flowing from the Bronze Ancient King’s fingertips was clearly a data stream made of countless 0s and 1s.
’What kind of Profession is this?’ Su Chen couldn’t help but stare.
Soon, several figures were drawn out from the cauldron. There was a considerable number of them—more than a dozen—all with their eyes shut tight and brows furrowed.
Even Su Chen could sense that this group of people seemed to exist in a slightly different space from them.
The data streams swirled around the group. Invisible ripples emanated from them, and the illusory space they occupied gradually solidified until it merged completely with reality. The expressions on their faces began to shift, but they did not wake up right away.
Su Chen scanned them curiously. There were three women in total, and he quickly located the one he had seen in the photograph—Ji Rou.
She wore a white combat uniform, now stained with dust. Just like in the picture, she wasn’t breathtakingly beautiful, but she possessed a unique, gentle grace.
“Is there anything else?” Red Sun asked again. Even Qing Cang couldn’t help but glance over. Su Chen wasn’t petitioning Red Sun; he was clearly petitioning their revered master.
Su Chen didn’t hold back. “In your cauldron… is there also a Profession called Power User?”
“Oh?” Qing Cang looked over in surprise. “You know of the Power User? The Wise Man, Scholar, Spiritualist, and Saint… how many of those have you obtained?”
’They know about it too?’
’That makes sense… Red Sun was originally a member of the Bronze Sect. Does that mean they also know about the Purifier?’
Su Chen thought for a moment before replying cautiously, “By a stroke of luck, I’ve managed to obtain all four.”
Qing Cang’s brow furrowed, and he sighed. “A pity. Those four are all rare Professions that can enhance one’s Talent. The Sect has more refined methods for obtaining them. Had you been able to do so under better circumstances, your Talent might have been enhanced even more…”
’He’s already obtained them?’
The Bronze Ancient King mused to himself. That meant one less method to enhance Su Chen’s Talent was available.
Su Chen smiled helplessly, muttering to himself, ’My process for obtaining them was already perfect. It couldn’t have been any better.’
“The Power User, you say…” Red Sun mused. “Listen closely.”
Su Chen’s expression turned solemn as Red Sun’s spiritual fluctuations washed over him.
[Special Profession: Power User discovered. Can be obtained upon meeting the requirements.]
[Power User Requirement 1: All currently held Physical Side Professions must be Top Level.]
[Power User Requirement 2: Raise no fewer than twenty Body Refining Techniques to Master Level.]
[Power User Requirement 3: Break the limit of one Body Refining Technique.]
Su Chen glanced at the requirements. They were mainly focused on the Physical Side. Raising twenty Body Refining Techniques to Master Level meant he would need to be at least a Tier Seven Professional to qualify.
However, normal Top-tier Professions required five Body Refining Techniques for each advancement. He, on the other hand, had always advanced according to the requirements for Upper-tier Professions, saving him the time of mastering two extra techniques.
For someone like Wan Chen, this requirement could actually be met at Tier Four.
But the requirement to “break the limit of one Body Refining Technique” was hard to figure out. Then came a boon from the Great Venerable.
[The boundaries of Talent are but the imaginings of the mediocre. The arrival of the Power User pays homage to the Great Venerable Red Flame Thunder Resonator. Requirement 2 has been reduced: only fifteen Body Refining Techniques must be raised to Master Level.]
But that wasn’t all—
[The requirements for the Purifier’s sublimation have been met. Upon obtaining the Power User Profession, the path to the Purifier’s sublimation will be unlocked.]
’It’s finally complete,’ Su Chen mused. ’This Purifier… it must be a Talent-based Holy Profession, right?’
’Shouldn’t it be a closely guarded secret of the Sect? Why does it feel like everyone knows about it?’
He noticed that when he mentioned the Power User, the expressions of Wan Chen and the others showed no change.
“Is… there anything else?” Even Red Sun hesitated before asking again.
Su Chen thought long and hard before finally asking, “Could you leave me some memento? Or a memorial tablet, perhaps.”
A memento… Red Sun’s gaze deepened considerably. Qing Cang secretly nodded in approval.
Wan Chen felt his headache subside significantly. Hearing Su Chen’s request, he stared over. ’This guy is incredible, to even think of that.’
