For a brief moment I was just… stunned, staring into those unique eyes and wondering what the hell was going on and how this was possible, only to have the answer poof into existence in front of me, just like she always did.

All five pups turned to look at this sudden addition to the room, and I was really – and honestly pleasantly – surprised to see that none of them cried or even seemed scared of Cali just popping into existence like always.

“Aww, look at all of you~!”

Even when all the snakes hissed and ’slithered’ closer to each of the pups, all five just sat there and stared at her curiously, with Astra reaching to grab one of the snakes fearlessly while Zariah stole this opportunity to lunge for my tit as Nicoletta found herself far too enamored by the floating pink lady.

“They’re all so adorable~! They look so much like their Mama, don’t they~! Yes you do~! You in particular~! You have her squishy cheeks and put together features already~!”

As she said that she reached down and began to rub Astra’s cheeks together, not minding that the pup was tugging on one of the snakes – which just hissed at her before ’sighing’ as it looked at me exasperatedly – and instead using this opportunity to tilt the pup’s head aside and show off her eyes.

“And look~! She even has some of Aunt Cali in her~!”

That immediately had Jahi growling softly while I glared at the Arch Fiend, my own growl dying in my throat as she gave me a grin that never reached her pink eyes, silencing me before she murmured “There’s nothing to worry about, Kat~! I swear, alright~?”

“That isn’t reassuring.”

Clicking her tongue and glancing at Jahi, Cali shrugged her shoulders before grinning even more as she replied “It doesn’t need to be. It’s just the truth. All that Lust Mana inside of her just so happened to latch onto one of the pups, nothing more. This little one will be all~ okay~!”

Continuing to rub Astra’s cheeks, Cali gave the pup a more genuine, warm smile before she floated up and away from them, giving us the space to talk properly since she knew it was going to need to happen.

Before I could even ask a question she just said “All this means is that on top of awakening to a normal element when she comes of age, Astra here will also be able to naturally sense and feel – maybe even manipulate – Lust Mana. She’ll be a more… ’social’ girl in the future, yes, but that was likely already going to be the case considering whom she was born from…”

I wanted to ask something else to clarify when Jahi quietly asked “So you’re saying she’s going to be promiscuous in the future because of the Lust Mana you required Kat to gather?”, which made the pink skinned Arch Fiend snicker as she rolled around lazily.

“In simple terms, sure, she’ll be a feisty, voracious thing sometime in the future. In other words, she’ll be just like her Mama here; hungry for all~ kinds of ’meat’~! Only difference being she won’t have a hunk to be soul bound to before she even knows what lust is.”

I glanced at Jahi and silenced her as I instead asked “Cali, what does this mean about us going forwards? About you and her?”, earning myself a grin – a genuine one this time – from the Arch Fiend as she reached down and patted my head.

“It means nothing~! I am still bound to you, and besides potentially being a lustful thing in the future it means ’nothing’ for Astra here… beside the aforementioned lust, but hey, everyone has lust~! This isn’t a ploy to switch my contract over to her, not a piece of an agenda where I take over her body or something… just a happy little coincidence~!”

“Sorry if I don’t believe in coincidences when an Arch Fiend is involved…”

Although I didn’t fully agree with the vitriol in Jahi’s voice when she said that I still nodded in agreement, and all that did was make Cali chuckle some more as she shrugged in reply; when Samara began to tug on a snake as well she carefully pried the pup’s fingers away and drifted further back, putting some space between her and them.

“I don’t really care if you believe me or not. Astra here is fine, the other four are fine, and everything will be a~ okay~! Now that that’s out of the way, let me just say that you look so~ good right now Kat~!”

Cali winked at me and licked her lips before adding “Prime and ready for another batch of kids in that belly of yours~!”, causing me to roll my eyes and wave her off, watching as she disappeared into that poof of pink smoke just like always.

“I don’t trust her.”

“I don’t either, Jahi, not entirely, but she also never lies to me, and she also can’t do anything against any of the people I love, not when we still are bound together. So for now… I think she is telling us the truth. A somewhat ugly one, but the truth nonetheless.”

That forced a grunt from the Demoness before she reached over and gently lifted Astra from me, staring intently at the pup’s reddish pink eyes and causing my heart to palpitate for a moment as instincts warred with what I knew.

She smiled wryly at me when she felt that, and I bit my cheek before reaching over and rubbing her arm, letting her know that I didn’t mean it; the silence was somewhat comfortable after that, though when Anput bounced on in and filled that silence we just both smiled wryly again as we welcomed her chaos happily.

Leone was here soon enough too, and having the four of us with all of the babies was nice, though my exhaustion began to return slowly as all five pups rotated eagerly, drinking my energy from me and causing me to yawn before I told them all to be quiet or give me some peace.
